Ate the fish tacos and had some coffee. The tacos were def fresh and garnished well. A little pricey, but hey it’s block island! Recommend.

Food was fine. Actually a fun interesting, if limited, menu. Long line, though it moved relatively quickly. NO wifi, at least not that they would share a password for with guests. Who thinks they can run a café without wifi?! And the absolute kicker – no bathroom! You’re selling coffee! Guess those tables are just for decoration because they clearly don’t want you hanging around.

Overall, loved it here. I had the pesto bagel and it was outstanding! Very nice & authentic menu. I will be back very soon!

This little café gets bonus points for being one of the few places on the island to be open during breakfast time. I guess everybody likes to sleep late on the island. They basically sell breakfast sandwiches, prepared salads, smoothies, baked goods and acai bowls. Yea, I never heard of an acai bowl before but supposedly an acai is a type of berry. Oh and of course, being an authentic café they sell coffee too. The breakfast sandwich I purchased tasted great and was perhaps the best bargain on the island for only $ 4.95(that’s the basic egg and cheese version on a bagel). Topside Café is located directly above Poor People’s Pub. It’s all counter service(yay no tipping). There’s not a lot of room inside but the outdoor deck is great for people watching on the street below.

Coffee Frio was great. Dirty chai was a little weak but good otherwise. Nice view and very comfy and cool on a hot day. Not too busy even during a busy tourist day.

Husband and I popped in here for a quick bite for lunch. Almost missed it since it’s j. Top of poor mans pub(which we ate at for dinner later). The best bagel sandwiches my husband and I ever ate. And we are from NY home of pretty some amazing bagels. I had the bacon pesto tomatoes cilantro onion mayo bagel. My husband had the smoked salmon with what looked like a pico de gallo mix, not too sure since I was too distracted by my own delicious bagel. We shared the rush Coffee with choc ice cream delish!!! He said his bagel sandwich was excellent. Nice to sit in chairs on the deck, very casual and friendly. Highly recommend.

Oh hell yes. Fresh, yummy food and delightful service. Lovely seating areas inside and outside. Great views from the porch. Really excellent iced coffee. Our group tried nearly everything on the menu here and it was all WONDERFUL. The acai bowls are generous, fresh and beautiful. The New England Maple Wrap was so great I had it two days in a row. Cinnamon rolls, bagels with salmon, pesto, tomatoes, etc, all delicious. I wish I lived closer.

We found this new gem on Block Island, located above a pub across the street from the grocery store. We were hoping for great views of the iconic Fourth of July parade from the second floor deck. We got great views but more importantly we got great food and service in this sparklingly clean new eatery. Tables available inside and out, lots of windows, and the location ensure plenty of natural light. Bagels were fresh and reasonably priced with cream cheese or eggs/cheese combo. The espresso bar offered many choices of hot and cold coffee, tea and chocolate drinks. The outstanding choice was something special — a well crafted acai bowl — icy acai mixed up and layered with banana, almonds and chocolate. While expensive at approximately $ 9 it was fantastic and Block Island tends to be expensive anyhow. The staff were helpful and cheerful, even on what must have been one of the busiest days of the year. We will be back. 6 am opening time is a winner, too.
