Legacy

This boutique is a real gem. It’s one of those places I love and hate to write about. It’s such a fabulous place that I feel like I just HAVE to share it, but I also want to hoard all the wonderful pieces for myself.
The store itself is rather unassuming, but the pieces inside are not. Legacy’s inventory is very well-​curated and consists of extraordinary vintage and original pieces. One of my favorite things about this store is that almost every piece has a fantastic story to complement it’s uniqueness. The general styling is very feminine and romantic, while still maintaining an element of surprise. The pieces are well-​crafted and are worth every penny.
On my last visit, I purchased a beautiful one-​of-​a-​kind skirt made of vintage black lace. It’s probably one of the most complimented pieces in my wardrobe. I discovered this boutique on a business trip, but if I lived in the neighborhood, this would surely be a regular contributor to my personal style collection.

Great, unusual, beautifully made women’s clothes that you will not find anywhere else.
She also makes her own dresses that are so damn sexy it’s insane.
It’s hard to describe this place but I find my favorite things here and the only other people I ever see shopping here are incredibly stylish and it’s tiny and nice and has great jewelry and some vintage things and it’s one of the only places I can stand to clothes shop.

I love Legacy!!! My favorite clothing store in Soho! I’ve been coming here for about 10 years. I think the store has been in Soho for over 30 years! They have a great selection of vintage and new! I love the vintage Gucci bag I got here — still in perfect condition! The jewelry by Wendy Bassin is awesome. I lost one earring once, and she made a replacement for me! Beautiful selection of fresh water pearls! The Repetto’s are the best prices I’ve seen in the city — I have four pairs. Pure comfort in shoes! Great for work and for dancing! Whenever I need a dress for a special occasion, Rita and Jessy are there to help me! They custom make dresses (any color you can imagine!) and have a great selection in the store too. Sir is one of my favorite dress designers ever!

Great find! Legacy has an amazingly well-​edited selection of romantic vintage from the 1800’s — 1960’s… Especially the jewelry. Tons and tons of amazing costume jewels. The shop owner also makes custom dresses from vintage fabrics using vintage fabrics which I love. They also stock a variety of hard-​to-​find styles of (new) Repetto’s, my fave. I think that the prices are pretty high, but the clothes are high end so I guess that’s fair. Even though my bank account will suffer, I’ll definitely be going back to this store…
