This review is of the«building»(it’s small, don’t blink or you’ll walk past) and of the«Lucha Libre» smoothie. The small store front is clean, artsy, and welcoming. They have 2 tables that could sit 4 and a couple benches under a tiny counter. The smoothie was divine. They make their own handmade chocolate and it tastes phenomenal in a smoothie coupled with bananas, peanut butter, and rice milk. They have other food and juices but I was looking for a sweet treat! Very friendly counter staff. Would come again!

This is one of my lunch spots. The first couple times I’ve ordered everything has been great! I typically get the chicken salad wrap. The past few times though I have found chicken bones in the wrap, so I don’t think I’ll be coming here anymore. Kind of grossed me out

Really great small place in Soho. The owner’s very nice and accommodating. I’ve had their breakfast wraps, quinoa burger and zucchini blossom quesadilla, and all were delicious. Well seasoned and paired, you can’t go wrong with any of the food!

I work in the area and have been on a quest to find great local lunch options. I tried Salud after finding it on Unilocal. As a caveat, I have been to Salud one time for the first and last time. The food was ok but I had a bad experience: Went during lunch, I asked the proprietor what sandwiches were popular as it was my first time visiting. She curtly responded that everything was popular, in an abrasive manner that made me felt like she just wanted me to shut up and order something so she could get my money. I ordered a chicken salad wrap(which was of decent quality but very bland). The price on the board for the wrap was $ 8.50, but when she gave me my receipt to sign it said $ 9.50. I asked her what the difference was(it was not tax) and she said that the wrap was $ 9.50. I pointed to the board and she said«the sandwich prices were changed two years ago.» Mind you, the board was written in chalk and was above her head. I suggested that she change the price and even said I could reach up and do it for her. She wasn’t having it and started yelling at me. She then grabbed a dollar from the tip jar and shoved it at me, saying, «You want the dollar?! Here.» Making it seem like I was being cheap. I assure you, I don’t care about the dollar. I found the experience to be unnecessarily shady and silly. It felt like a sense of entitlement that the business owner could care less about me, because there would be others who would pay. She wanted me to not talk, pay, and get out of the way. Needless to say, I won’t be going to lunch there.

Stopped by with my niece after visiting Dominique Ansel bakery down the block because she said she would drink the carrot/orange juice. She’s 7. Whenever she agrees to eat a vegetable, in whatever form it will be in, I’ll take it. 8.50 for a juice isn’t so expensive in my opinion. It is in SoHo. Our carrot/orange juice wasn’t «out of this world» delicious, but it was decent. Our server was friendly. Although when she went towards the back to make the drinks another employer followed her and left no one else tending the front. They took forever to come back out with the drinks. A customer that came right after us decided to leave instead of waiting to be served. The atmosphere is really nice – a little small. The seats, benches screwed to the ground, aren’t too comfortable. But their Mexican artwork and Puebla-inspired Frida plates definitely make up for it. Didn’t get any food this visit, but I will be willing to return.

This is first time for me. I ordered mango smoothie. This was so good. Very juicy! My dad loves fruits so I wanna go this juice shop together.

I love this place. The food is always clean, fresh and high quality. It seems like a family run business, and it’s clear that they care. They have mostly organic and whole grain ingredients, which make it easy to eat healthily. Most importantly, it is tasty and the price is right for what it is.

Yum, yum… I’ll take some mice and roaches with my organic smoothie… make that to go please! Oh wait… nah actually I think I’ll pass: 1) Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas. 2) Live roaches present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas. 3) Facility not vermin proof. Harborage or conditions conducive to attracting vermin to the premises and/or allowing vermin to exist. 4) Food contact surface not properly maintained.

The chicken mole torta is out of this world. I fear that I’ll never be able to eat here again. Went by to get my fix and there were«closed by order of…[insert government body here]» signs pasted in the window. Say it ain’t so!

This place is a winner! Insanely fresh quality food, super friendly and happy to substitute when needed. Now I have a regular goto lunch spot! Makes me super duper happy! And not expensive either especially for what they dish up! Bravo Salud!

NYC has such a low bar for Mexican food, I am beyond grateful this place exists. Very sweet staff whipping up everything from scratch here. The menu has many tempting healthy(and less healthy) options, everything has been tasty but it’s hard not to order the kale avocado egg wrap($ 8.50). This wrap is one of the greatest things you can eat in soho — big statement, so let me defend it: — the whole wheat tortilla is always perfectly soft and tastes more wheaty and delicious than nearly all«whole wheat» breads I come across — at least 2 eggs go into this thing, it’s pretty large and those eggs are cooked perfectly — spicy salsa verde tastes like they just blended up a generous heap of cilantro, make sure you get some of this crack salsa with whatever you order — you can get it anytime. EGGSALLDAY! I just wish they were open past 7pm.

Great little location to get some good vegan eats. I went during lunch time and there was a bit of a wait, but it was definitely worth it. Recommended!

I like to come here for lunch and get the squash blossom quesadilla or the veggie tamales. Both come with an excellent fresh salsa verde which compliments the dishes. The owner is really friendly and takes pride in his food being fresh(he only uses fresh masa, which is not easy to find in the city). He seems to be able to recommend things well if you need help. Everything is so fresh! I would call ahead to order because fresh food takes a little while to make.

The best food I’ve ever had in New York. The azul rey is delicious and the veggie burger is honestly five star restaurant quality. Amazing décor and ambiance too. Would base my entire day in New York around eating here. I will be back very soon!

What great product. Eddie is a terrific operator. I went back the second day to have the same great experience, it was not to be. Eddie was not there, a young woman was so unfriendly, we left. How sad that an employee can ruin a wonderful time.

Salud NYC is a hidden gem of SOHO, as far as I know. Being from Boston, every time I’m down I explore new areas for new food finds. This time a friend found Salud on FourSquare as we were hungry after waiting in line for the infamous Dominique Ansel Cronut. A few blocks away, Salud is a cozy shop tucked on Thompson Street. It embodies health inspired Latin food which roots back to Mesoamerican pre-Colombian raw eats. The owner Eddie really gives you an experience of sharing and enjoying food, similar to how him and his family eats. I started with the gazpacho. It was so refreshing for the summer day. Next was the tastiest chicken salad wrap accompanied with a fresh watermelon juice. Finally, I had an organic chocolate brownie. I was so full but so happy, as the saying goes«estómago lleno, corazón contento». Salud NYC’s mission is to elevate and rewind the to aesthetic it once was. I think he did a phenomenal job. If you don’t stop in, you’re missing out!

3.5 stars I walked in on a Friday at around 1:30 and surprisingly no one was there. I had the chicken torta and thought it was tasty. The chicken was nice and thin and I enjoyed the avocado. I tried some of my friends chipotle mayo which I thought my sandwich needed. My friend enjoyed his zucchini blossom quesadilla. I would love to come back and try the corn truffle quesadilla!

Clean and delicious. The juice/smoothie menu looks great, but what I got was the Seitan Sandwich. The seitan has a great texture, and it’s a flavorful sandwich. I love the inclusion of sprouts. The portion doesn’t look very big but it’s a very fulfilling sandwich that left both my stomach and taste buds satisfied. The shop is small with a few bar seats as well as two small tables. Probably more of a stop-by and take-out place, but it’s certainly a relaxing atmosphere to eat lunch and read a paper if it’s not crowded.
