I travel to Israel once a year, so I’ve eaten great Mediterranean food! Tabouli — worst ever in my entire life Falafel — ok Lemonana — needs more mint, but tasted good Lentil soup — ok Masabacha — great Green falafel salad — good A bit expensive for the QUALITY we got.

Super, super fresh tasting! I ordered the Popeye sandwich(which included Spinach falafel) and it was not only flavorful, but very filling. The wholewheat pita had that sweet taste to it that you can only find in handmade breads. The falafel was a little but less seasoned than I expected but the creamy hummus and the mystery hot sauce(made in-house — green in a small container on the table) made up for it. The texture of the falafel was ONPOINT though! Soft in the middle and a harder outside with a little bit of a crunch. Overall, great place for a lunch or snack because it fills you up without giving you that icky overstuffed, over greased feeling. I loved the décor — especially the fact that the counters had chickpeas in them! Being able to sit and people watch was a plus as well. Would go back to try the baklava and to satisfy my next Mediterranean food craving!

A delicious lunch option! I have had the sabich(and added pickled beets) on whole wheat pita, shakshuka, and the classic forever(falafel/hummus) sandwich — all very tasty and easy to eat whether you’re dining in or ordering out. I would also suggest trying their frozen lemonade — on the sweeter side for tart/tangy lovers, but very refreshing.

Fantastic falafel! They make them fresh to order. I am a big fan of the deluxe sandwich. The spicy falafel is amazing. The sauce are great too. Definitely a top middle eastern food spot. It can get crowded around lunch time.

Again, happened to be in the area– we needed a quick bite and wondered into Nish Nush… What’s with the vegetarian spots in NYC? Does just everyone know how to make good meat-less food here?! At first I was like, «You don’t eat no meat!» But then I stuck a falafel in my mouth and just shut the f*ck up… It’s too much food for the price(is that a bad thing?) but it’s all good… Try it…

Maybe I just don’t know middle eastern cuisine, but I expected better based on Unilocal reviews. I got the falafel trio, which I found all right. The hummus was great, but the slaw, cabbage, and Israeli salad that came with it was nothing to special. The falafel was a quite dry, compared to falafel I’ve had in other places. My friend got the avocado salad. The description said it came with pesto dressing, but it had so little. Kind of bland. Nothing was bad, per se, but I think the only thing I really liked was the hummus.

I generally don’t like sitting down for long drawn out meals at restaurants in the city. I love this place, small, friendly staff and delicious food. What can more ask for?! Nish Nush means, have a snack in Hebrew. So Nish Nush, I was stop in and have a snack! 5’s

I appreciate any opportunity to eat falafel(except that one time I made the terrible mistake of picking up deli section falafel at Whole Foods… don’t ask) so I was overjoyed to find this falafel place. Nish Nush was so incredibly delicious. I ordered the classic falafel with green falafel, hummus, Israeli salad, and tahini. Y’all, it was amazing! The falafel was so crispy and flavorful that I was almost overwhelmed with how good it was and didn’t think it could be any better — WRONG! You have to put the green sauce on your sandwich. I don’t know what kind of sorcery is in that delicious, spicy sauce but sign me up. I can’t wait to get back to the city and try a few more options with that evil green sauce.

By far some of the best pita in the city. They have a ton of variety here, as well as strikingly fresh-tasting ingredients, kind of like what Subway wishes you thought of when thinking of that pit of sadness. I’ve been a couple times, but on my latest trip I had the Popeye sandwich which was overflowing with yummy red cabbage, fresh falafel, and tangy tahini sauce. The service was also extremely quick, making it an ideal lunch spot. Go here.

Fun, cute place! I recently went with a few friends and since it was nice weather out, the windows of the place were all open and the place really seemed like a fabulous place to get some tasty, authentic grub. The décor is super funky and moroccan looking(IKIK its middle eastern, don’t categorize) — all dark and mystic and awesome. Anyway, food wise. My friend ordered the falafel trio, another ordered a falafel wrap, and I was full so I just ordered a mixed order of the falafel side. Ingredients for both dishes were super fresh. I loved the salsa that they had at the table(warning: super hot) with my different falafels and loved the mix of flavors. If was going to rate them, the original is best, then the chili then the spinach one. FYI hummus here is also pretty damn dope. This place is super legit. Don’t waste your time on other falafel places because this is pretty inexpensive and 1000% better for your tastebuds.

I love this place! And I came to this conclusion even before I realized that there are dried chickpeas under each glass table! It’s affordable, yet has character and delicious food. What more could you ask for? I had the Popeye sandwich with spinach mushroom falafel, which were tasty and still full of the classic falafel flavor, perfectly tender, yet crispy on the outside, with a red cabbage slaw, and tahini, better still with the not too hot green chili I added for each bite! The sandwich really held together, and at $ 7 was about double what I needed for lunch, though it was so tasty I ate it anyway. I’ll definitely be back.

The classic falafel sandwich($ 7) is huge! I didn’t find the hummus to be particularly special, but I really liked the falafel and pita bread. All the tomatoes and pita bread also made feel very healthily full. This is definitely a very solid lunch option.

One of the best falafels I’ve had. The falafels themselves are very good. Crispy, but not greasy and have a great flavor. I have had all three types and love the chili falfels as they actually do have a bite to them. The pita s are big enough so that when you are finished eating you are neither hungry nor stuffed. The hummus is greaat too– perfect consistency and a good flavor. They also have some good soup and salads at this location as well. Service is also very prompt and friendly.

Currently sitting in blissful food coma mode(yes there is such a thing) after finishing my last few bites of the AMAZING classic falafel sandwich I just ordered via UberEats from Nish Nush. This is a big deal. The last time I had really good falafel was 5 years ago in Israel. Ever since I had the real thing for 3 months, I just couldn’t seem to find anything as good after I returned to the states. Nish Nush has totally brought back nostalgic memories of that summer though. The falafel was soft on the inside but managed to retain just a little bit of crunch on the outside. The proportions of other vegetables(cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.) were just right and complemented the falafel. The hummus had a creamy texture that I haven’t really seen any other falafel places here in the U.S. replicate. Best of all it was HUGE, just like legit falafel sandwiches should be. So happy to have tried this place! 10⁄10 would order again :)

My co-workers and I stopped in for here for lunch on a really nice Thursday afternoon in March. They had the windows/walls open, which helped because I had to stand outside to eat my Greek salad since the place was so packed. The salad was fresh and well-balanced with all the typical ingredients. For under $ 12, the portion size was big enough for two to share so you get your money’s worth here. A little bread on the side would have been nice, but I’m sure I could have ordered some for extra. Everyone else was happy with their lunches, most of whom got the classic sandwich. My only knock on the place is how they’re organized, or should I say, not organized. I get that the place is small, but it’s really hard to tell where the line starts or ends. To complicate matters, some staff take your name to call you when your order is ready whereas others do not. Given what appeared to be a similar number of ordered items, they really should be calling customers by name, not by item since a lot of people were ordering the same thing.

Deluxe sandwich, oh how I dreamed of you in a previously life and somehow you’ve become real! I had a serious craving for falafel at work and I ended up on Unilocal.Thankfully for all the reviews, I was led to these amazing pictures of this deluxe sandwich consisting of 3 flavored of falafel(who knew there was more than one flavor!?). Alongside hummus, and a bunch of other veggies stuffed into a pita pocket, there’s just a flavor explosion in your mouth with every bite. I normally can’t stuff so much into myself in one sitting and this sandwich was so big I broke my lunch into two sittings. I’m definitely headed back to try more things especially since I work around the corner. Give it a try. If you’re into falafel then you’re into Nish Nush.

This spot is my favorite falafel spot in all of NYC. I finally found a restaurant that makes kick ass falafel and a superb spicy shakshuka. The décor is cute with the tables having dried chickpeas in it and a very rustic exterior. The purple rain salad, deluxe sandwich and shakshuka is our go to meals here. Service is awesome with Shay — the owner, being on site and always happy to help out. So is his staff. Follow me @nycfoodiediary on instagram

The falafels here are delicious. A bit more crispy than I like them but very flavorful. I enjoyed all the fixings like the Israeli salad and cabbage. I’ve eaten here several times and I enjoy their fresh Mediterranean options. The humus is delicious too. I am on a search for really good humus. This one is fine but I think I need to learn to make my own. Remember humus can be made with either chickpeas or garbonza beans. For this reason I think there a taste i prefer but I’m not sure which until I make it myself. The falafels come in 3 to 5 flavors, they also have a spicy option They serves whole wheat and white pita This place is casual… with open seating area.
