The venue is beautiful. I didn’t even go on the rooftop, which I hear is one of New York’s best views, but I really enjoyed the warm and relaxed ambiance at the bar downstairs. That said, nothing else was redeemable about this place. The bartender(surly hipster, obviously) actively ignored me on multiple occasions and condescended to my companion when she asked about the wines. I just wanted to relax over a beer, man… The cheeseplate was an insult to all cheeseplates and hands down the worst I have had. 3 similar cheeses, stale bread, soggy apples, and some honey splatted onto the plate as an afterthought. If you guys can’t execute a cheeseplate, just leave it off the menu.

Are u f-ing kidding me?! This restaurant need to be ashamed of itself. Why? Because I have never had such an mediocre meal at such an astronomical price in NY f-ing city. It’s been three weeks since I was at this wanna be hip restaurant in the Wythe Hotel but I still feel«angry» about my experience… kinda like you had high hopes the date, but your date turned out to be just an a-hole. Let me first say my review has nothing to do with the Wythe Hotel, which is excellent. My review also has nothing to do with the waitstaff, as they, too are attentive and friendly. My review, however, is based on the 1 ¾ lbs grass fed ribeye I ordered, which turned out to be 1 ¼ lbs worth of bone and maybe ½ lbs of meat. Mind you Peter Lugers is 5 min away and my steak there would’ve tasted better and costed less. The price alone is not the issue; it’s what you get in return. This is probably the worst steak I have tasted… EVER! The poor f-ing cow died for nothing. My wife who’s one of the least picky eater, she didn’t even finish her meal. I felt this restaurant is formed by wanna be hipsters that haphazardly decided to charge what they want and are surrounded by uninformed patrons who equate«expensive» with quality. Please do us a favor: either fire your executive chef or close the place already. Are the Williamsburg Hipsters became a bunch of uninformed posers? Please you can’t be hip and have this disgrace in the neighborhood. F#ck it was aweful! Okay I’m glad I got that out of my system.

I would probably give 3 ½ stars for quality, 2 ½ accounting for price. We had two appetizers: a cheese plate, which was very good, and oysters, which were absolutely flavorless(and pricey even if they had been just okay). Our dinners were both very good: I had the cabbage stew(which features bass more than cabbage), and my fiancé had the short rib. Both were very good, but probably still overpriced for the quality. I don’t think I would come here again. For the cost of dinner here, there are much better options elsewhere in Brooklyn.

Took my mom here for brunch right after I moved into the neighborhood. I food and service were both excellent, I love the atmosphere of this place. I moved a few years ago from philly and have been disappointed in the New York restaurant scene, but Reynard hits the mark for me.

Been here couples of times for drinks but never actually eaten anything until last Saturday. I had to have the Dutch Pancakes, $ 17 seems very expensive for a big choux puff like thing but I liked it and might order it again if I’m close by. The pancakes were loaded with procuitto and cheese that one per person might be a little too much, hence the $ 17 between the 2 and voila only $ 8.50 each! We also had poached eggs that were served with beans and italian sausage, yum! soak that bread in there — -. We went around 12pm on a Satruday and didn’t want the 2 top right at the entrace(breezy) so we had to wait for another table to open but only 10min or so. I saw many newly moms and dads with baby strollers enjoying their(probably much needed) roses and beer.

Great place for brunch. Very hipster-looking place in the Wythe Hotel. We were there over a long weekend Monday and it wasn’t very busy surprisingly. Had a great French Toast which changes seasonally and the menu had just changed so the fruit was plums. The French Toast was nice a fluffy and the plums and nuts were a different addition which tasted great. Topped with mascarpone cream and blueberries and a few bits of rosemary which sounded unusual but worked well together. Our party also tried the burger(good) and the omelette topped with deep fried oysters(not my thing, but they liked it). Next time we will head upstairs, heard the rooftop has the best view!

You must try the Dutch Pancake! The special today was the apples, perfect sweet and saltiness from the prosciutto. Also had the burger, I recommend asking for less salt on the fries because it was too salty to consume. Good service and good food, nonetheless.

Reynard is inside Wythe Hotel. The inside is beautiful and very trendy. The bar gives off a 1920’s vibe and has a wide selection of liquors that can appeal to almost anyone’s tastes. The menu is limited, but the flavors of the dishes most certainly are not. Food — We got the Dutch pancake and fried cauliflower. The fried cauliflower came with a poached egg and was more of an appetizer than an entrée, especially since it was basically a salad with the amount of arugula it came with. It was delicious but most definitely did not compare to the Dutch pancake. The Dutch pancake was filled with high quality prosciutto and Gruyère cheese. By itself, Gruyère is delicious, but pairing it with the sweetness of the pancake and the smokiness of the prosciutto was a game changer to say the least. The pancake came out hot with the cheese melted over the prosciutto. It was life changing and put every single traditional pancake to shame. We are now Dutch pancake lovers because of Reynard. Tip: Don’t miss out on the rooftop bar. The views of the skyline are incredible and some of the best in BK!

I sat at the bar and had their ‘little wheel’ cocktail and a burger. The bartender was incredibly good and helpful in making decisions. The burger was outstanding. It was perfectly cooked and the combo of Gruyère cheese and Caramelized onions was mouth watering. It reminded me of the burger from minetta tavern. I highly recommend trying it and this restaurant. Perfect stop before heading to a show at Brooklyn bowl

Quite possibly one of the best burgers I’ve had in my entire life. Since I was visiting New York for about a week at this point, I had experienced my fair share of fabulous brunches and meals, but my experience at Reynard certainly took the cake. We came with the impression that our meal and drinks would be served on the roof, but when we got there we were informed that our meal was on the main level, with optional drinks on the roof. We were starving, so we decided we would get a bite and then head to the roof after. As you can see from the photo, we ALL ordered the burger. I was flipping through the reviews and photos on Unilocal and it seemed like the burger was described as a national treasure. We all ordered the burger medium rare, and we all ordered different drinks — I got the bloody mary. The bloody was divine, slightly on the sweeter side, but still rather spicy. Heavy on the horseradish, which is my favorite. When the burger arrived, it was drenched(which I love). The cheese was sliding off, the bun was crispy, and the fries looked heavenly. It was served with a side of mayo, which is EXTRA european and totally chic. I was the only one who could finish the entire burger and fries(no shame). Everyone I was with simply loved it though. Extra points for our red bearded waiter who was very nice and gave us the beat drink recommendations. I don’t live in Brooklyn, but if I did this would be the spot for me.

Went here for a friend’s bachelorette party dinner and had an amazing time! The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the décor and ambiance. Great service from our server(who was also pretty hot). He was funny and super patient and went over the wine and food menu with us, taking time to explain each item and helped us choose the right amount of food(and alcohol) for 7 people to partake. Ordered several bottles of rose for the group to share. It was enjoyable and well suited for a group of varying tastes. We started off with the tomatoes appetizer and the beef carpaccio. Both were delicious. The tomatoes were very fresh and tangy, which paired well with the ricotta and peaches. The carpaccio was really yummy as well, sliced super thin with a tomato relish. For mains, we got two orders of scallops, a half chicken, duck breast, and grass-fed beef, plus a side of braised kale. Couldn’t really get a consensus of the favorites among the group, but needless to say everything was really delicious. For me, the big surprise was the chicken. I personally almost never order chicken from a restaurant because it’s too easy to overcook. This dish was sublime. The chicken was juicy, tender, and so flavorful. Also loved the scallops, which were perfectly seared and tender, and paired great with the aioli. The duck and beef were also great as well. We split a peach cobbler and chocolate custard cake for desserts, and let’s just say they disappeared pretty quickly. The restaurant appears to change its menu pretty regularly. While I’m sad that they won’t have the same amazing food I had this time, I’m also excited to try the new amazing dishes they’ll have next time I come back. PS — If you dine at Reynard, you get to skip the long line to go to Ides Bar on the 6th floor of the hotel.

Really digging their bar atmosphere. Dimly lit, tall ceiling, brick walls with huge windows. Nice, mellow vibe. Impressed with their wine line. I ordered a glass of rosé which was delicious. I glanced at the menu and the entrées I would go for they were out of. Nothing else seemed appealing.

I came here for a group lunch on Friday afternoon, and it was a intimate, classy environment. Great restaurant design, excellent service, and tasty food. There were 6 of us, and each of us enjoyed our dishes. Their menu is seasonal and changes daily. I got the duck confit and it was DELICIOUS! The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Once the meat hit my tongue, I was immediately blown away. My 2 friends tried it, and they were equally impressed. The dish also had sauteed mushrooms(of some unique variety), and it absorbed all the dish flavors and had that indescribable umami taste. The other dish ingredients– nectarines, greens, sauce, etc.- tied everything together nicely. For $ 18, I was a happy camper. Other people at the table got the dutch pancake, poached eggs, fish, etc. All were happy and no complaints. I recommend this place for a nice meal in a quieter, classy environment. Get away from the hustle and bustle and come here.

I went there for dinner on a Saturday night with a group of friends and while the setting and décor is nice what I really went there for was to eat dinner. It took forever for the waitress to take our order and the place was about ½ full. They don’t carry top shelf liquor which is a total disgrace. I got stuck drinking middle shelf. The eggplant appetizer was the best thing I had. I ordered the red snapper as my entrée and the waitress told me it isn’t red snapped but amberjack… This really ruined the dinner because they market something and sell something else. For those who know about food red snapper is a $ 26 per lb fish while amberjack is about $ 15 per lb. Service was subpar and the food was ok. There are much better places to eat for the money and ambiance. I asked the waitress to talk to the manager about keeping everything stocked so other patrons won’t have to go through what I went through and her response was«it’s not the managers fault». I guess not having ingredients and alcohol must be the mayor’s fault.

Beautiful space, slightly old world vibe meets Manhattan trendy. Good service. Ahhh, now to the negatives, the food isn’t that good. The burgers were big but lacked any flavor. The appetizer tart actually would have been fantastic if not for the tremendous amount of salt. This is coming from a salt freak! The weirdest part was we ordered expresso and cappuccino and was told by the server, «it’s very strong, it’s American espresso.» Ummm ok, but wtf is American espresso? Let me give you a tip, don’t find out for yourself. It was utterly horrible. They had almost a spiced flavor to them. Both were kindly taken off the bill.

Located inside Wythe Hotel this is a very cool and buzzing place with a lot of hipster-ish people — not negative from my point of view. The place is very beautiful yet it was a little too loud when visiting on a Sunday. I had their famous Grass-fed burger which I had heard a lot of good things about. Indeed it was very good. Actually this is a nearly perfect burger with caramelized onions and melted gruyère cheese. Unfortunately the patty was extremely salty. Like in way too salty. It really destroyed a lot of the otherwise pretty delicious burger. The burger can be so fantastic, but it isn’t. They really need to change the seasoning of this dish. The fries were pretty decent too. Tasty but not that crispy though. With this is mind this isn’t cheap too. Overall I like Reynard, but the burger needs a little more care.

Hour wait no problem, went upstairs and had great drink at the top of the Wythe. Incredible view of Manhattan. After an hot the three of us got seated. Had a great bottle of wine and warm olives to start. I got the dumplings for my main which were amazing. Very light and great portion for being something typically heavy like dumplings. My sister got the burger and as other reviews prove it was amazing. E The dark dimly lit bar like restaurant was chic and perfect for a Saturday night with my sisters! Ended with the bread pudding which was the best sweet ending!

Mmmmmm definitely on point! First off, what a gorgeous hotel. And Reynard sports some absolutely stunning décor. I mean who ever designed it needs to decorate my future home because it is so my style. Service was super friendly and attentive. Loved my drink selection and the waitress was really chill with me trying out a few options until I found what I really liked. I’ve only had this experience maybe once before in my life so it was certainly appreciated. The burger: oh man! SOOOOGOOD!!! If you visit Reynard you must order it, it’s probably one of my favorites in NY.
