I wish it was more specific. One of the employee refused to help me and was very disrespectful. The female employee and I had to call the Verizon customer service to get it fixed. Very annoying. I wish they would hire better people. If t was possible to review her I would give her a 0 the 1 is for the store!

Do yourself a solid and avoid this location. Absolutely terrible service. I went in there on three separate occasions in a six month period only to walk out. I’m an easy sell since I’m a Verizon Wireless customer. I was up for an upgrade and had narrowed it down to the cell phone I wanted. All I had was a few questions. Every time I go there, they put my name on a list to be helped. Only to have me wait 10 – 15 minutes to get help. All the times I went there, there was not many people in the store. This is the closest location to my job but I refuse to give them any business. I even contacted the customer service line to complain. No one should be treated in such a manner. Avoid this location at all costs.

Look, I can’t speak to anyone else’s experience, but frankly mine was phenomenal. I showed up on a Saturday evening, a few minutes before closing with a busted phone. Apple couldn’t help me and they recommended that I check with Verizon to see what my plan would allow. Turns out, my plan made it easy — I was walked through my options painlessly and ended up swapping phones for a super low price (and even got an upgrade). Plus, I got a ton of store credit for phone swag.
Major shout out to Louis — definitely the best customer service rep I’ve ever dealt with. Not only was he an amazing help, he went above and beyond, like showing me the best way to apply a new screen protector. Seriously, I’ve never had a Verizon experience this good.

The service here is truly terrible. Upon entering, I was told there would be a 15 min wait, but while I was waiting, the guy who welcomed me in and took my name just fooled around on his own cell phone the entire time. Then when I was helped by a different representative, she had no clue about the different international options I was inquiring about (another rep had to step in and set her straight). Then, another customer came in to buy a phone case, and she helped him right away before she had even finished resolving my issue. This store needs a management makeover. I have had better experiences at the Wall St and Union Sq locations.

The store manager Denny is amazing. He went so far beyond the call of duty to help me and I am so appreciative. Denny is one of the reasons why Verizon has the best customer service. They care. Thank you Denny for helping me!

HORRIFYING !!! I came here after avoiding the 34^th Street VW location after having a terrible customer experience. The staff (Devon) here are rude, indifferent and have an attitude. They barely make eye contact, and it is abundantly clear they just dont want to help in any way. Its incredible that each staff member behaves the same.
I have been a loyal VW customer since the 1990s and it is truly upsetting that Im unable to receive «normal» in person service at the stores. I initially signed up outside NYC, and these negative experiences makes me want to terminate my services.

Avoid this store like the plague. I bought a phone online. Just needed to go in and pay for it. Instead, the salesperson — Aziza I think was her name, you’ll see her name in other reviews — tried repeatedly to upsell me on the Edge program. I already did the math and concluded I would lose money in the end. (If you are considering the Edge, do your homework first. It rarely makes sense in the long run. Aziza spent a lot of time focusing on the short term benefits.) in any event she would not take no for an answer. She wasted time going into the back to run numbers. I kept saying I just wanted to buy the phone. It was only after I threatened to walk out that she capitulated and sold me the phone I had ordered. She had the good sense not to try to sell me on the stack of accessories she had dragged out from the back. Next time: I’ll just have the merchandise delivered to my home.

This store is horrible. Don’t even waste your time. I work in the area and have gone because of convienence but it’s the biggest waste of time. «Oh let me sign you in» now wait for the next hour while we have 3 sign in people do nothing while people are waiting to be helped.
I would talk about the customer service but it’s already been covered. See one of the reviews talking about the worst custoer service ever.

I went in to get a new iphone and Aziza was very nice but did not know what she was talking about. She uploaded my husbands phone numbers on to my iphone by accident. When I got home, I realized that Aziza never asked whether I wanted apple care… Verizon sells apple care why wouldnt you ask about it? I called the manager and spoke with Charese who was the RUDEST manager I have ever spoken to in my life. I asked her what apple care includes and she said if I am asking about apple care I should know what it includes. I could not believe it. I would avoid this store at all costs.

I was a little leery going to this Verizon based on some of the other reviews, but as I was just getting a gift card I figured I’d give it a go. The store itself was laid out well and clean, and was located in a convenient location near Grand Central Station (on Lex). The employees themselves were all nice and looked to be in good spirits, even at 8am on a Monday. I’m not sure how they handle getting a new phone/​contract, but I’ll likely give it a shot next time I’m up for an upgrade.

HORRIBLE unprofessional customer service at this Verizon Store. Go somewhere else. I have had so much trouble getting what I thought was a simple issue resolved. I’ve now realized they are not competent.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
I purchased a new phone from this Verizon location a little over a week ago. When I arrived, I was greeted and put my name down. Soon I was called upon by an associate named Karen. She was helpful and charming but what I later learned was that she was completely full of BS. She sold me on the «edge» program that allows you to upgrade your phone every year with no payment upfront. She promised me there would be no additional charges except for a monthly fee of $ 20 for the phone, but a promotional $ 25 discount back, therefore, my bill would be less than normal. I thought this was too good to be true and she convinced me by saying the company makes money by selling the phones back to the distributors after they are returned. I walked out very happy and confident in my decision.
1 hour later I noticed that I wasn’t receiving any text messages. I went back to the Verizon store to see what the problem was and there was an hour wait before anyone could help me. I did not have the time to wait around after just spending over an hour there earlier. Apparently, after switching from Apple to Droid, most people experience this problem and all you have to do is simply disable your imessages, BEFORE YOU SWITCH. Karen forgot to mention this — oh well.
A week later, my family bill comes in and our payment due is $ 150 more than usual. I knew this was a mistake so I went back to the same Verizon store. I waited about 45 minutes before speaking to anyone. Finally, I had the pleasure of meeting Ellen — a not so hospitable employee. She pulled up my bill and told me that I was charged $ 53 in taxes for the phone that is always billed in the beginning. Another small detail Karen forgot to mention the first time around. Then she said I was charged an additional $ 32 because the first bill is always more expensive. I asked her why and she said «it just is, I don’t know why. It’s only a little more anyways…» She couldn’t explain the rest of the bill either. She was very rude and did not want to help me.
I have been a Verizon customer for as long as I can remember and have never received such bad customer service. I was manipulated into this plan and completely regret it. I would like to file a complaint online but there is no where to do this. Therefore — I am reaching out to my local Unilocal community to inform them NEVER to visit the Verizon store at 420 Lexington Ave.

One staff called Jimmy there is super helpful and nice and sharp.
He should be promoted.
If you need to go there, make sure you have his assistance.
Other staffs there were just fooling around and chatting.
I arrived on Nov. 04, 2014 around 07:15 pm.
There were about 7 staff in the store. Only an Asian staff (Jimmy) was busy, dealing with an old lady and another young girl waiting for his assistance. I choose to wait for him as well since the others look lame. i noticed there were 3~4 other customers in the store and they were doing nothing and just waiting with a long face. Those available staffs are either chatting or fooling around in the space. It was a very odd scene.
I rated this store 3 stars just because of Jimmy’s service is great.
Otherwise I will give it only 1 star.

Employees lack costumer service skills. Sales lady was rude and did not offer alternative options when she explained item was sold out. We asked if back order was possible and she referred to her colleague who also did not tend to us. Another customer was in the store complaining to management as well. Giving verizon a bad reputation.

Clean and spacious, I just needed to charge my mom’s phone emergency-​like. Although it seemed busy a man came to help me right away, showed me the charging station and which one would work for her phone. Rapid charge and bonus there is one for my iphone while I wait!

On 9÷4÷13 I walked in to upgrade my phone about 20 minutes before closing. Missy assisted me with the whole procedure and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It also didn’t take very long! I walked out of the store just in time for them to lock the doors behind me!
On ⁹⁄₆ I returned to the store to exchange the iPhone 5 back to an iPhone 4. This time, Ahmed helped me and was also very knowledgeable.
I made sure to tell the manager, a lovely young lady whose name I did not get, that her staff was very professional and that I had an excellent experience. Clearly, this reflects one of her strong points– hiring and supporting staff who know customer service well.
Thank you for such a pleasant and easy experience, guys!!!

Nice, roomy store to walk around and browse the products and play with features.
Horrible customer service. You walk in and you are nicely greeted by someone with a tablet who you think will have all the knowledge needed to help you. NO.
He takes your info down and, God forbid you need sales help, you are put on a waiting list.
I walked in well after the lunch crowd, hoping to get the store to myself, yet I waited at least 20 minutes while other customers walked in and were immediately helped by other Verizon reps with tablets. What the hell kind of customer service is this? It’s NOT WORKING! How do you leave your long-​time customer hanging like that? VERY BAD Customer service.
I needed a new phone and with the new phone I was told that it was mandatory that my calling plan change. (REALLY?) I was told I would be paying $ 10 a month more with new plan and and additional $ 4 in insurance because of the type of phone I purchased. (Yet if you read the contract, you have a higher deductible so that sucks)
I asked my sales guy (Some lanky, wanna-​be nerd) for a receipt after he charged me way-​too much for my phone and was told that it would be emailed to me. It has been 3 weeks since I purchased my phone and I am still waiting for my receipt. To top it off, I kept getting messages from Verizon that my data usage was almost up (in less than two weeks???) so I called Verizon’s # to complain and was told that I can still keep my old plan where I never went over my data usage. So I managed to get my old plan at my old cost back again.
Can’t wait for my contract to be up.

On the way home last night I dropped into this new Verizon store to look at some new phones and ask some questions about the plan I am on. It’s a brand new store with a good location next to Grand Central. Entrances inside the station and also on the outside street.
This is a large store with ample room to walk around and view the products on tables and display shelves. It’s almost too big with plenty of unused floor space. Staff was helpful and informative enough. Hours are ok but close kind of early by 7pm Mon-​Fri, 7:30pm on Sat, and 6pm on Sun.
Eh, it’s just another of the thousands of cell phone stores that seem to pop up everywhere nowadays. Gonna stick with the phone and plan I am on until I get a free upgrade deal.
