I had never heard of this chain but it is simply addictive. I highly recommend: 1) maple with bacon 2) lemon with coconut 3) blueberry with raspberry drizzle or(changes seasonally) 3) orange ‘creamcicle’ They do re-heat well/easily, but there’s quite a gluttonous satisfaction to eating them while they’re still hot in their box. NOTETHATTHISISNOTHEALTH-FOOD, but still good for the soul!

Drove from Maryland to get some donuts and it was so worth my drive. The donuts melt in your mouth, even though they are cake batter. They are so delicious! My son’s order was not accurate and his donut was replaced with a brand new one done just right! The parking was in the rear of the building and limited, but other than that I am totally pleased with my experience!

The donuts were just ok. The staff was friendly, the place was energetic. I liked the ambiance. The donuts were hot and fresh, but being pumped out by some donut contraption. The flavors were pick your own or pick from a menu, something I just wasn’t into. The glaze was good. But I really wanted a Boston Cream. I was let down to see they don’t have filled donuts like jelly and custard. The donuts were like pancake batter donuts.

A crowd pleaser that will fatten you up quickly. Warm cake donuts with choice of icing, toppings, and drizzle. We had maple icing with bacon, lemon icing with coconut, and raspberry drizzle with chocolate. All were good. Kids love this place. You’ll leave happy and vowing to work out the next morning.

I stopped by Duck Donuts last Sat. with my dad. Despite my mom being a diehard fan of the donut chain whose initials also happen to be DD, I’d been curious about Duck Donuts for awhile and was determined to check it out. This visit to my parents provided an opportune time to do so, given that I didn’t come through Philly, which is where my favorite(Amish) donut stand of all time is located. Having read the other Unilocal reviews beforehand, I knew what to expect in terms of customizable donuts. I should mention that I haven’t been to the customizable donut place named after a dried plum in OCMD, so this was my first shot at trying customizable donuts, and I can’t directly compare the experience at the two. We ordered a dozen($ 12), which consisted of the following types: cinnamon bun(vanilla iced cinnamon sugar, x3), regular cinnamon sugar, lemon iced(x2), glazed(x2), chocolate iced, chocolate iced with sprinkles, peanut butter chocolate, and orange creamsicle(see photo). One of the cinnamon bun donuts was supposed to be drizzled with chocolate icing rather than vanilla, and, perplexingly, the employee making them even asked about it, but otherwise, the order was correct. Aside from the customizability of the toppings, one of my favorite aspects of customizable donut places like Duck is how all of the donuts are fried to order. As a result, the donuts were still warm upon consumption, even after we took them back to m parents’ place to eat. The donuts themselves are of the cake variety but aren’t overly dense. All of the donuts that I tried(lemon frosted, chocolate peanut butter, and cinnamon bun) were quite tasty and satisfying. Despite my parents’ and brother’s affinity for the other DD place, they enjoyed these donuts greatly, given the silence that ensued upon their consumption and the fact that all of them were gone within ~10 min. Overall, I enjoyed the donuts from Duck, and I’m glad that I was able to convince my parents and brother to give them a try. The price point is quite reasonable and service was friendly, though the woman decorating the donuts seemed a bit confused and flustered. While the donuts aren’t quite at the level of my Philly Amish favorites, they’re definitely a step up from the national donut chains, and probably the best in the immediate area. If possible, it would be awesome if they could make donuts that are filled on demand, given that I’m a big fan of filled donuts and that all of their current donuts are of the ring(non-filled) variety. I’d definitely be game to return the next time I come into town and don’t have a chance to pick up donuts in Philly.

Delicious and made to order donuts but a bit on the heavy side. We bought half a dozen assorted donuts which were devoured within seconds by us but they were quite filling and sweet. In my opinion only the cinnamon sugar would be worth coming back for. Simple but the best!

These donuts were very good! They make them right there in front of you. Although it look like they were making them faster than they were using them they were still hot in the box when we got back to the truck. This place is very similar to the fractured prune which is at the beach however there are far less toppings to choose from… And definitely not as many different glazes… They do have their own duck doughnuts tervis cups! Definitely a place you should stop and try… especially if you pass by after you just eaten dinner

I went for breakfast yesterday, and the guy that was the cook /cashier and obviously loved the food, said I should try the maple glaze and bacon doughnut. 5 freaking stars. Oh My goodness. Seriously just the best doughnut I’ve had in… 30 years? At least since Dunkin made theirs in house. Do yourself a favor. Have a doughnut.

We keep coming back for donuts every time we are on Main Street. Ever since Krispy Kreme closed, we’ve missed«Hot Now!» It fills a gap we’ve had in our hearts. Don’t be afraid of the orange and lemon. Both my favorites.

We love duck donuts. You cannot beat a warm donut. I love the cinnamon sugar and the chocolate with coconut. My daughter likes chocolate and bacon, yuck! My only complaint is, every time we go the store is dirty. There’s always at least 4 employees but the tables are dirty and the trash is overflowing.

This place is SO amazing — a must-try for your next visit to Main Street. The donuts are made fresh-to-order and come out nice and hot :) you can’t really go wrong as far as the flavors/toppings.

Duck donuts ate the best! I wish they had more locations, I think I would go almost every day. I love how you can see them making the donuts fresh and they come to you nice and warm. They have a little sitting area where you can enjoy your donuts with a cup of coffee or some tea. If your taking your donuts to go don’t just buy one that will not be enough. I advise you to buy at least half a dozen.

So simple, but yet so delicious. Duck Donuts, the carb-lover’s dream on Main Street in Newark, DE, makes donuts fresh to order, and they are worth breaking your«no carb» pledge. The donuts, a wheat and corn flour combination that gives the crumb a bit of tasty tooth, are then topped with your choice of wet or dry ingredients. My daughter went with cinnamon sugar while I opted for the seasonal pumpkin. They were hot, crumbly, and absolutely delicious. Mine had a hard time staying together because it was so fresh, but it was melt-in-your-mouth heaven. Neither donut lasted more than a few seconds, but now I know where I need to go the next time I’m visiting my daughter at school.

I really enjoyed my two experiences at Duck Donuts. The only bad thing was that I didn’t like the coffee, but the doughnuts put Dunkin to shame. I love all the different mix-and-match opportunities you have at Duck’s. Also– free samples. Free freaking samples of doughnuts, while the Dunkin-Baskin Robin’s location on Main Street refuses to give out a free cup of water(which I’m pretty sure is a violation of some federal law). I will say that the doughnuts are a little pricey, but the deliciousness of the product definitely makes up for it. With the closing of Coldstone, I think Duck Donuts have become the best place to get a dessert on Main Street when you have a sweet tooth. It’s that good. (However, all bets are off when that Dairy Queen finally opens its doors).

Duck Donuts reminds me of The Fractured Prune in OC. Fresh made to order donuts with various toppings you put in them. This morning I decided to set out from Smyrna to Newark try out the donuts. The place is clean, and there are samples of the sugar cinnamon doughnut to try. I got a dozen. Lemon, maple, vanilla glazed, and sugar cinnamon. YUMMY. It took me back OC. Fresh, warm and good. The price was also reasonable. I will be back.

AMAZING. They make your donuts after you order. As fresh as it can be! I like things simple, so I always get the powdered sugar, sometimes strawberry icing with coconut flakes, but their seasonal pumpkin spice(?) one is really yum! Not too sweet, plenty of flavor. I don’t like things too sweet so it’s just right for me. On the other hand, my hubs who likes sweets said it made him want to go eat a whole pumpkin pie after, so whatever that means.

Simply put, they’re amazing. No matter what flavor although the bacon maple is a must try. I bought a dozen and I polished three before I got back home.

DELICIOUS!!! Is the single word I would use to describe these donuts. Duck Donuts resides in the former Post House restaurant building. There is not much in the way of tables if you decided to sit down and dine-in. Then again, I think it would be useless to do that, because these donuts are made to order and they come out of fryer piping hot. You need a few minutes for these donuts to cool down before you enjoy them. Toppings come with the price of the donuts. You are free to mix and match different toppings with no extra charge. If you become stumped in your creativity when trying to decide what toppings would work best with each other, there is a menu that shows a donut of the day. After placing my order, it only took a few minutes for my donuts to be ready. There is an area where you can watch them make your donuts. It reminds me of the Fractured Prune in Ocean City, in this regard. My excitement started to build as I watched them put the different toppings on my donuts. After taking my first bite, I was in love! I’m hooked and now I simply can’t stop thinking about these donuts. Actually, I think I’m going to stop by after writing this review.

S p e c t a c u l a r. That’s all that needs to say about this place. I ordered one maple glazed and one powdered sugar doughnut. To be honest these things require zero glazes or toppings. The abundance of goodness that oozes from a plain doughnut is next level type stuff. Its been less than 24 hours post visit and I’ve already decided to go back tomorrow. Additionally, I’ve deemed it necessary to contact the USDA to see why these doughnuts aren’t currently on the food pyramid.
