The food here at lL pomodoro is delicious everyone must try! Especially their lunch special can’t go wrong! The Service is great and always on time with deliveries!

I love this place! It’s right in my neighborhood and it gives me the tradition old school pizza shop feel. The owner and cashiers are always friendly and the food is always consistent. The pizza I love and also the wings. The food is fresh and you can tell it is made with traditional recipes and lots of love! When you order wings you can get them breaded or naked and I like the luxury of having that option. They always have specials so make sure you ask when you give them a call! I order delivery often and I’ve never waiting longer than 35 minutes for my order. The entrees on the menu are always pretty good so don’t be afraid to venture out and get something other than pizza. Oh yeah! They have zeppoles! If you do make a order for delivery do make sure they repeat your order just to secure accuracy with your order.

The food is pretty good. My order did arrive cold, but after a call to the manager, he refunded a portion of my money and promised a future discount. I’m satisfied with the customer service.

I’m on here to say, the people and service at this restaurant so far has been great. Nice delivery guys, nice people on the phone, all good. At least, so far. In this area, a lot of places forget that service is important.
Strange as this may be, I came on Unilocal JUST to talk about the spinach.
Yes, you read right, the spinach. I LOVE it. Other places have frozen and bland spinach they plop in front of you. Theirs is not (see pic).
I will be Eat 24ing them more often and will have other reviews, but right now, service and spinach .A+

13 bucks for a large pie and a 2-​liter? how could we resist?
stopped in with some friends on the way to a Devil’s game at the Prudential Center. we were running late (thanks, traffic!) and ducked into il pomodoro for a quick bite before the game. within 10 minutes, there was a fresh, steaming large cheese pie in front of us (and a 2-​liter of ginger ale!). being the lactose-​intolerant nuisance that i am, i asked for veryyyy light cheese on half of the pie– a request that they delivered on for sure. a lactaid pill can only do so much, ya know? the other half of the pie was smothered in gooey cheese– i think the guys approved.
sturdy crust, crisp bottom… the slice definitely held up. the dough wan’t my favorite, and the slice definitely needed a good dose of garlic powder and some hearty shakes of the red pepper to balance out the sauce.
this isn’t pizza i’d come back for specifically, but for a quick bite before a game it was perfect. the place was full of devil’s fans, too, so you won’t be alone. easily walkable to the Pru, close to the $ 15 parking lots near the (is it a post office? idk. whatever that big building is)… solid choice in the area.

he food was absolutely terrible. When I called the restaurant they were rude and unwillingly to rectify the situation. Terrible food quality and customer service. They offer free delivery but it’s not worth it!

Pizza arrives hot, fresh, on time, and delicious. A wonderful spot here in the area.

Came here based on the very high reviews when I was looking for a good pizza place in Newark and this place is officially the best pizza in Newark hands down.
I got a plain pie (large) for about $ 15 last week and it was perfect. Crisp pie, with great balanced sauce and really high quality cheese. You can taste the quality in the mozzarella as opposed to the cheaper high fat content cheese other places use where oil drips everywhere
Today I ordered a specialty pie, wanted vodka sauce or Alfredo but couldn’t decide. I asked if it was even possible to make a pie half vodka sauce and half Alfredo and they said no problem. That was amazing. The vodka sauce was the best I’ve ever had. Wasn’t crazy about the Alfredo. don’t like green spinach in my Alfredo and it could’ve used more Parmesan for an addition of salt.
The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommend this to be your preferred pizza place in north jersey

Bet delivery I’ve gotten in Newark so far. HUGE portions, and everything tasted amazing. Wish I would have found this sooner!

I’ve been coming to Newark for the last year or so. Every time I order delivery I’m disappointed. However this time is the first time I’ve said wow that was good! Really good! The delivery guy had a hard time finding me but few calls later… BAM. He was here and earlier than expected. The pizza was hot and super cheesy, just the way I wanted. It seems lately I’ve been writing some bad reviews about Newark food. This keeps up and I swear I’ll take it all back. Great Pizza!

This pizzeria is one of the best I have ever been to. The location is convenient for easy street parking. The inside of the pizzeria is beautiful! Nice décor, very clean and great service. Pizza is amazing and we also had chicken franches and shrimp and broccoli Alfredo. Omg the food is like from a fancy restaurant. Highly recommend it
