I used to go here every Friday night for some martinis and sushi with my girlfriends. The service is quick, the drink menu and drinks are amazing, and the sushi is good. Later in the evening they clear the tables and have a dj. In the summer the glass doors are open to the outside area and it’s right on the waterfront! It attracts large crowds of people due to its location. Plus you can walk from place to place on the river if you don’t like the music. Many fun times were had here! Only bad thing is one bathroom so there’s a long wait at night to use it since it is one toilet and one sink.

We saw the bad reviews but decided to try it. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Beautiful view of the moon rising over the Hudson. Good mellow music instead of the frantic nonsense at nearby places. Burger and crab sandwich were both very good. Apple sangria was also very good and quite strong. Wait staff was attentive at all times. Prices are a bit steep but we are sure that’s due to the rent on this prime location. Considering they have a more mellow atmosphere here it was worth it. They had a tattoo fund raiser while we were there and that was a bit strange, but did not interfere with our meal.

My go to Newburgh waterfront spot for music, drinks, and dancing during the summer on Saturday nights! Been going periodically for two summers now and every time there has been a good crowd and great energy. DJ always on point with playing music that keeps people dancing. Young and fun. Never have gone for food, only for after hours nightlife…

Inconsistent. This place used to be great. However, it seems as though things are slipping. The servers were inattentive and disappeared for long periods of time. While we were seated there were a fair number of patrons, but certainly not busy or packed. Of the five dishes ordered one was excellent, two were good, and one was inedible. Inconsistent is the word here. The physical cocktail menu was disgusting, I didn’t even want to touch it. I don’t anticipate returning. It took far too long to get a mediocre meal with less than desirable service. However the view is great.

Gone downhill!!! Used to LOVE this place. Sushi is still GREAT — but service is slowed to a crawl, nasty attitude in new bartender, waitstaff, where’s Kim and Paul? Haven’t seen either in a while! PRICESUP, QUALITYDOWN! Got seafood Cobb salad, shrimp not deveined, partially frozen(both of them… seriously, TWOTINYSHRIMP) Lobster tail needed a sharp knife to get through it. Said«no egg» dressing on side but it came with egg, no avocado or bacon and SWIMMING in, what appeared to be oil alone, tasteless. Friends burger and fries burnt, overdone and left to sit because it was cold. Never again…

This place is really starting to go down hill. We hadn’t come here in about 8 months or so and now I remember why. You can really tell how nice a place is when there menu looks like it has been in the garbage for a few days. That doesn’t stop them from overcharging though. Let’s start with the drink menu. There is only one. As in, oh I need to borrow the drink menu from that guy over there. When this place was the Blue Martini, the martini’s were the best. Now, while they serve the same drinks that the Blue Martini did, they are much more watered down. The food is alright but I had to ask for dressing on the side of my salad because they didn’t really put any on the actual salad. Then the woman next to me had to ask for the same thing. My husband’s burger looked mediocre at best. I give this place 2 stars instead of 1 for the view. 1.5 would probably be better. Will not go back.

Friday night, 8:30. We sit down and are told the kitchen is closed; how embarrassing for the establishment. That’s why it’s always so empty in there. Constant inconsistencies. What does it really save the establishment to close their kitchen a half hour or an hour early? You’ve been dead all day, ok, you’ve made no money. Well, you just lost our $ 100 tab and we went to your competitors next door. This is not the first time we’ve been told the kitchen was closed so early. 8:30 on a Friday!?! Do you want to be in business or is this just a hang out for the owners? «Open when we want to, close when we want to, we don’t need to make money» I’m honestly sick of driving down there to always be told kitchen is closed or to find their not open at all(two Thursday’s ago we went to have dinner and drinks at 7… Surprise, closed!) that’s twice in one month you lost our business, how many other people have had my same experience? Used to be a great spot, new owners have really killed it. These guys are running the place Ito the ground… PSCHANGEYOURDRINKLIST!!! ITS10YEARSOLDANDSOOUTDATED!

Just wanted to send some comments about a recent visit. I was there on Saturday May 19, 2014 for lunch. We never got bread or salads as the menu stated. Our meal came out before we even finished our appetizer. My filet medallions were very over cooked as was the seafood in the dish my husband ordered. Our waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks or if we wanted dessert. We spent more than we normally do on lunch hoping for an outstanding meal but felt it fell very short of that. I sent this as a facebook message to their facebook page — as of July 8 they haven’t even read it. And their website is not currently working.

Went for a birthday party. Sushi was great and so was first glass of Martini, they usually taste better the more you drink. As for the bar, these are the most unfriendly bartenders I’ve ever seen, they must be the owners. The wait staff on the other hand are exceptional. There was a DJ that night but I think he was confused regarding which genre he should play. The more folks on the dance floor, the harder he tried to clear it.

GREATPLACE! I highly recommend everyone to check this place out. Very strong martinis and over 25 different kinds of martinis. Just one or two does that job for me ;). Friday night and Saturday nights are great here. DJ, and a lot of people usually go.

I definitely love the sushi here; however, the sushi chef goes on vacation for about 3 months in the Fall/Winter, and they have no replacement! WTH? Anyway, Akasaka is a perfect replacement, which is just about a block down the riverfront. The perfection of 50 Front Street, though, is the dark/swanky atmosphere, slightly better rolls(Love the Earthquake), and more space. No sushi for 3 months? This place would get 5 stars, if not for the lack of sushi chefs.

I don’t think I would come here just for the food, but the atmosphere on the weekends is a lot of fun and the view of the Hudson River is a huge treat on a summer weekend. I’ve been here for everything from«baggo» Thursday to the late night club scene on the weekends and private parties and I’ve always had a good time. Be warned though that the group on Friday and Saturday nights tends to be a younger crowd and unless that’s what you’re looking for, it might not be for you. «Torch’s» on the other end is an older crowd(over 30) and more to my liking, but that’s just me! :)

Noisy on a fri nite. Food was great. Service not as good as previous visits. Waitress completely forgot our salads and barely came over to check on us.

I went there for the first time last year when I heard that they had cheap martini’s, which they do! You basically get two and a half martini’s for the price of one. However, every time I go there the place seems to always be kind of dead, which is alright except for the fact that the bartenders act like it’s such a hassle to take your drink order. Literally every time I go there, they act irritated when I give them my martini order. After seeing this pattern, I decided that it’s no longer worth it to go there and be treated as if I am being irritating. Too bad.

Posting a review draft I wrote in December… Had vanilla porter here with raw blue point oysters and some clam chowder. Seriously the best clam chowder I have EVER had, and the oysters were fresh and fantastic. Their house mignonette is delicious. And our server Jill was friendly attentive and efficient… Not to mention cute as hell. I will definitely be back.

I had gone there this summer and had sushi and I thought it was very fresh. I just went on a Friday night and had a different experience. The waitress was very nice but came over and immediately told that they were out of three menu items. Then after we placed our order she came back and stated that the calamari just ran out as well.(Which was one of the choices we had ordered). I was really surprised about this since it was early on a Friday night and in the winter the restaurant doesn’t have out door seating and is really small inside but it wasn’t even full. The food was good though and prices weren’t that expensive compared to some other places on the river

Good food. The sushi is always fresh and the sushi chef definitely know what he’s doing. Quite a selection of beers on tap as well as a fully stocked bar. Friendly staff and quick service. Great view of the Hudson River as well. Can be loud in the late evening when the bar crowd enters and the DJ starts, but not horrible. It is the waterfront after all.
