Save your money and go to a pizzeria! The food was ok but for the prices not worth it!

A friend and I went there for lunch today. Very artsy feel with(of course) a great river view. The salads we ordered were plentiful. The turkey panini was big enough for two to share. The server was very attentive. We didn’t order dessert, but the samplings looked tasty. I would definitely return here. It was more quaint, casual and less pricey than many of the river front restaurants… just what we needed on a winter afternoon.

Well if you want to be served a pita chip with seaweed on it come here… additionally expect crop dustings and«limonada»(lemonade in italian) that tastes like radioactive sewage water

Was not a fan on this place at all and I’ve had a lot of pizza. I came here with my sister and her boyfriend, it wasn’t very busy. Ordered: Caprino and Quattro pizzas and the Focaccia Capocollo. Everything had a very strong odor and taste to it, I’m sure it’s how the pizza was suppose to taste by my American palette isn’t acquainted with such taste buds. Safe to say I did not like it especially the Caprino, it had a dried beef on it that wasn’t like anything I tasted before. The Focaccia Capocollo was a waste of time, kinda like a panini, kinda like a cracker sandwich. It lacked a combining factor to bring the entire pizza together such as cheese. The crust on the other pizzas was very soggy and not crunchy at all(which you would expect from a thin crust). The service was pretty decent and the restaurant was pretty clean.

BLUF: The perfect example of when more is not always better. Also, a place that looks nice on the outside but with poor, sloppy pizza. Before heading to Billy Joe’s for some live music and drinks, we stopped at Café Pitti which is a mere 100m from Billy Joe’s. The restaurant looked nice from the outside, a classy sit down venue for a wood stove pizza place. We expected to grab a quick bite and a few pitchers. The ambience was nice with light mood music and a clean layout. There was a small wine menu and bottles of beer but no drafts. On recommendation by the waitress, I ordered the Quattro Formaggi(mozzarella, fontina, parmiggiano, and goat cheese). While the process of the baking pizza smelled delicious, the crust was quite burnt and the pizza was terribly sloppy and falling apart. The pizza seemed to be just tossed together, especially the goat cheese. Rather than a blend of cheeses, it was a mess and over powering, a classic example of trying to do too much but not getting a good product. My friends ordering different pizzas had no better luck. The pizzas were 1⁄5 at best and far too overpriced. The star goes to the ambience, nothing more.

Good service and nice view! I thought the prices were very reasonable, but the menu is a bit limited. Very few choices other than salads(with no meat), paninis and pizzas. Meals were pretty good but I suggest checking the menu before going.

Such a cute little place and very nice service. However, the pizza was not good at all. We were 15 and after appetizers(which were fine) we ordered a variety of pizzas. When we complained that the pizza was way way too salty, she said«yes prosciutto tends to be salty». But, we ordered a variety and they were all toooooo salty. And this, of course, was not our first pizza with prosciutto.(It must have been the sauce!) Seeing our complete disappointment with the pizza, I was certain that the management would have done something for us, like remaking a few of the pizzas, taking something off the bill or even a complimentary bit of gelato. But nothing! And since there were 15 of us, it was quite a hefty bill! Very disappointing!!!

After my recent experience at this place, it’s very clear that everyone who’s written a good review about it has no clue what Italian food, pastries, gelato, and cappuccino is supposed to taste like. It is overpriced and the quality as bad as it gets. Unfortunately, there aren’t many good options for authentic Italian food in the area. But this place is so bad that it’s an insult to Italian cuisine. I don’t know what’s more pathetic, this place or the people who think it’s good. The name is appropriate but should be spelled Café«Pity». The owner and other cooking staff apparently have never as much as tasted real Italian anything and obviously have no idea how to prepare anything Italian remotely right. The only nice thing I can say is that the waitress was very nice and attentive and the place looks cute. I know this review is harsh but I feel it’s important to be brutally honest than to sugar coat the truth with misleading feedback.

Cute little place. Very similar to the other places down on the water front. We sat outdoors. Service was good. Food was good.

I’m just an average foodie trying to eat my way across the country while I travel for work. I found this little spot just down the road from the office I’m at this week. Let me preface this 3 star rating by saying that the food was tasty, that wasn’t a problem at all. I just feel like it was incredibly over priced. I had a panini. The sauce was great and the mozzarella on it was definitely fresh, but served with some multi colored chips, it certainly wasn’t worth $ 16. Also, the menu was fairly limited. The server was polite but wasn’t around much. I sat on the patio and he spent his time inside other than the minimum required check ins with a table. My recommendation– check the menu first. If you see something you really want to try and you’re okay with the price, go have it!

The food is what it is and is good. However, for the place being somewhat slow we should NOT have to ask our waitress 3 time for a glass of water! The service was awful and she didn’t even apologize for the delay.

Started with the piatti veloci, it is an appetizer of mixed meats and cheeses. My wife and I could not enjoy some wine with this dish since we were meeting for lunch, however, we will be going back and trying this dish with wine. We ordered the pizza with arugala and prosciutto, it looked great, but, it was too salty for us. The service was slow, we would not have minded that if we did not have to go to work. Overall the atmosphere outside is great, we would definitely go back.

Beautiful day on the waterfront, made even better by the great pizza, sandwiches and service! First visit of the day we shared the Zola panini and Quattro Stagioni pizzetta. Cold beer and warm day perfection. We then went for a long walk in the village of Beacon, and decided to stop back at Café Pitti to share the Amacord panini and a glass of wine. Our servers Anisa and Brandon were attentive and fun to talk with, but they gave us plenty of space. Heading back on Monday after work with a girlfriend!

Had a great waiter Brandon, very attentive and professional. I ordered a white pizza with tomatoes and garlic. It was good. Small restaurant, The Bathroom was gross. Only one unisex bathroom and it needed to be cleaned. Paper towel dispenser needs to be replaced with one that people dont have to use force to get towels out.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful view of the Hudson are the only reason I’m giving two stars. Ordered the pizza with mozzarella and mushrooms and the only good part was the mozzarella. I’m a pizza lover normally able to eat 3 or 4 slices in one sitting but was barely able to eat one slice of this pizza. Cheese and bread tray was delicious but you can never go wrong with fresh cheese. It also should not take 30 – 40 minutes to make a pizza. The service was some of the worst I’ve had. Instead of feeling welcome, I felt a disturbance asking for another drink. All in all it was an okay experience but would recommend another restaurant to try in this immediate area… Especially if you are in need of a quick meal.

Stopped in for gelato after dining next door. We were rushed through our decision by dismissive counter staff. Gelato was good, but not worth returning due to service. Worst part was I left 50¢ on the counter, and found out later my wife did the same.

The atmosphere is great — right on the river w/great views. The interior is really fun — lots of cool colors & fun masks hanging on the walls. Staff is mostly-friendly. The food is TERRIFIC. Great gourmet pizzas the way it’s meant to be. Panini’s are good too. Delicious gelato. The outside seating is nice for the view, but the tables are so close together I feel like I have to whisper so I’m not in conversation with the table next to me. Also…more affordable than most eateries in that section of the riverfront. You should definitely try this place out. It’s a great place to go on a spring/summer/fall day. Eat outside or inside & take a walk along the waterfront before or after your meal. Sometimes in the summer, you can hear great live music really well from a neighboring place.

This place is located on the waterfront in Newburgh, NY( Unilocal hinterland. check in once anywhere around here and you’ll automatically be the duke/duchess). Café Pitti is a great place to grab a bite and watch the Hudson River flow by. I shared the Carpaccio, which was delicious. The insanely thin slices of rare beef were served over arugula and tossed in oil and vinegar and topped with plenty of fresh parmesan cheese. The portion is huge, so either share with a friend or be prepared to take it home with you. I also had a panini with mortadella and capicola. It was a very simple sandwich on high quality Italian bread, and the delicious meat flavors weren’t masked by sauces or excessive cheese. It was fantastic.
