Food and service were so awesome I decided to apply and join the team couldn’t be happier!

This is the worst IHOP I’ve ever been to. We came in for lunch today and although the parking lot looked very busy, the place was empty. We had a coupon that had just expired and when we inquired whether they would accept it anyway, they wouldn’t, which is not the worst thing in the world. The waitress brought our beverages, and my coffee cup was cracked. You would hope that someone along the line would notice and toss it out, but they didn’t, which is not the worst thing in the world. When the food was served, it became obvious that things were quickly progressing downhill. My country omelette had congealed cheddar cheese on top, which looked so unappealing. There didn’t seem to be any ham inside, so I cut it in the middle and a pool of oil flooded the plate. Yuck! While I waited for the waitress to return so I could send it back, I ate the pancakes. We were almost finished by the time the waitress came by to check on us. I showed her the congealed cheese and pool of oil and told her I didn’t want it, nor anything else prepared by those«chefs.» She charged me for a short stack of pancakes, which although I don’t mind paying for my meal, demonstrates a distinct lack of customer service, given the difficulties I encountered. But this is not the worst thing in the world. The worst thing is the Ladies Room, which was not the cleanest, and which had NOHANDSOAP. So you have to wonder what the female staff were using. Double yuck! I mentioned it to the cashier as we were leaving and she told me it must have just happened, and that they have hand sanitizer all over. Please spare me! Soap dispensers should be routinely checked and filled in any establishment that is concerned with customer health and safety. This IHOP is number 1 on my «Do Not Return» list.

Samantha was our waitress. The service is good and the thing was that we didn’t have to ask for anything. She got the jump on all needs right away. The food was good typical I hop. I the store number is 2102. Enjoy.

Too bad you can’t select zero stars. IHOP sucks. I like breakfast, but IHOP charges twice what mom and pop places charge and IHOP food is incredibly bland. I made the mistake of bringing my kids for free pancake day. Not being a fan of plain«cakes” — I ordered the California scramble, which turns out to be 2 plain scrambled eggs with such small amount of cheese I couldn’t taste(or see) it…(did the server accidentally write lactose intolerant on my order?) avocado slices and salsa from A JAR! Oh, but ihop couldn’t use a good jar of salsa– this was some generic brand worse than pace or Ortega(and I haven’t eaten either in almost 20 years). Don’t let me forget the plain, unseasoned, cubed«previously frozen hash browns» aka– potato chunks and white tortilla. Don’t hold your breath for the ketchup– they don’t remember straws or customers. Every time I visit IHOP its one more disappointing, overpriced meal that ruins my day and leaves me craving a fast food sandwich to put salt back on my tongue. Why do I torture myself. IHOP should mean«insignificant heap on plate». I will not stop here ever again– I will not stop for eggs and ham, I hate pancakes sam-i-am. I will not stop for toast or soup, I will not stop to take a poop, I will not stop for free pancakes, I wish they’d all jump in a lake, I do not like IHOP at all, so shove that nasty garbage up your ass and give me my money back!

The food was reheated frozen fries and pre-packaged chicken fingers, the waiter gave us our food with no ketchup. We had to wait forever for the ketchup, then when he finally delivered the tiny milkshake, he plopped it down and kept on going, no straw. This place is garbage.

Let me start by saying IHOP in Middletown and the one on 17 in NJ are great — Newburgh not so much… food was not good — chicken fried steak had very little gravy and was dry and stood out like a board — how is something fried dry? Pasta dish was swimming in sauce and bland — kids chocolate chip pancakes were ok– no issues — Service — sucks — I have been there a few times and each time we get a server that either acts as though they are too cool to work there or says how much they are over worked. well we were pleasantly surprised by this server who blamed her mistakes on usually working breakfast shifts. So we got someone else’s drinks«I usually work breakfast», we got wrong sides with kids platter«I usually work breakfast», forgot the garlic bread«I usually work breakfast», forgot the kids included dessert«I usually work breakfast», forgot the way the eggs were requested… I. usually…work…breakfast…wait what? Anyway it’s worth going to the Middletown IHOP skip Newburgh if you can — or go to Alexus Dinner!

I’ve always liked IHOP but I prefer to call it International House of Pancakes. It makes my date feel more important. The pancakes are great, the coffee is not. Cleanliness appears to be an A+. Service is unfortunately as slow as molasses even with very few customers as we experienced tonight. Whatever happened to the boysenberry syrup? The butter pecan syrup is good but I need my boysenberry fix.

I was excited when I had heard IHOP had moved into the area. My memories of IHOP pancakes from traveling down south was always good. However I was not impressed when trying IHOP when it opened. I felt the food was mediocre breakfast as best. Our check was over $ 20 for two breakfast meals which I thought was a little high. I did return another night with my mom for dinner and was really disappointed with the dinner food there breakfast meals are definitely better but in either case I do not think anyone is getting a great value for their money at IHOP. We felt very rushed and did not enjoy the food. Not to say would never return there but my first choice would be to a local diner in the area.

The choices on the menu are bountiful and all good. The variety of pancakes will make every visit exciting. The only thing is that some of them are way too sweet and overpowering

I must say that I was wrong in writing what I did before speaking with the restaurant manager… after hearing his explanation I am satisfied he did what he did for the good of the business… we still go every Saturday… if you visit ask for Janella… she is fantastic…

I typically wouldn’t review an IHOP, but I was especially impressed with the great service we got here. From being greeted at the host stand to paying the check, everyone treated us with respect and a kindness I really appreciated. Our waiter checked up on us frequently enough to fill drinks and get things that we needed pretty much consistently, and was never too far when we needed to catch his eye. He also was great about making sure we got what we wanted, making substitutions and exceptions. We were also visited by the manager, who was quite nice as well and wanted to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The food was IHOP quality, of course — decent, but not anything that would blow you away. My omelette and fruit filled me up and tasted pretty good and my boyfriend really enjoyed his waffles. I also loved that when they brought me tea, I got both lemon and honey! Can’t beat that. The place was clean and tidy, the bathrooms were nice, and overall, we had a great quick breakfast there with a friend. Not sure of the other options in Newburgh, but it was nice to know that we could visit IHOP and have a good time!

I’ve never been to an IHOP before. I don’t like pancakes, so I don’t consider myself in the core demographic. Nevertheless, «I’ve never been» is often reason enough for me to go somewhere, so off I went. …and I had a bacon cheeseburger. Which… yeah. It’s one of those«additional menu items», like the salads at McDonald’s — and I’m such a stickler for supposedly specialist places sticking to one thing that the burger’s half-assedness kind of hit me hard. I mean… I love burgers. I love them. And this is a pancake house. It should not sell burgers. I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked(mooing, please), which was a major alarm bell, and I rather stupidly chose onion rings over fries. Results: a well-done burger and some large, oddly hard-to-eat onion rings. It was basically airport food. My wife had pancakes and eggs and bacon and professed to enjoy them, but I was just left feeling rueful. Strangely expensive for what it was, too — bacon burger, pancakes combo, bottomless coffee for two = $ 25. International House of Meh, long may you cater to less discerning types such as truckers. Oh, and that coffee tasted like a giant sack of ass.

Finally got out to this new location with the family. It’s your typical IHOP location but because it’s brand new everything just looks really nice & clean. Service was great when we went and food cooked well. My only complaint was that my side order of bacon(extra) only came with 2 strips of bacon which I thought was ridiculous for the extra cost. I’m not hard to please and because the overall experience was really good I didn’t complain but in the future will ask how many slices come with the order of bacon before I order.
