Quaint restaurant. Good food. A bit pricey but good. Friendly wait staff. Hostess /​mngt not unfriendly but not friendly either … that’s a bit surprising given the quaintness and prices. Been there half dozen times and we’ll go again.

We really enjoyed our dinner. This restaurant is a solid 4 ½ stars. Our waiter Travis was one of the best waiters we have ever had. He was truly great! We visited on Easter, and for a holiday, everything was perfect — not rushed and perfectly timed. I had the smoked filet mignon as an appetizer, and it was spectacular … I’m not sure if they have it on the regular menu, but it is something that I would go out of my way to have again. We will be back in the summer when you can dine outside … I hope Travis is there :-)

First time and went out for Lent dinner with another couple. Gorgeous setting of an old house on the lake. Host and staff were incredibly friendly all checking in at the table throughout the meal. Very interesting menu, unfortunately I cannot have any meat dishes that evening. I had the escargot, shared oysters Rockefeller, stuffed sole for my entrée. I also triedthe others dishes. Generous portions of king crab legs, beautiful size scallops, slightly undercooked, but nothing to get crazy over. Fun cocktail menu, and very large dessert menu options huge portion can easily share. My only hesitation of a five star review, for Lent on Friday they could’ve had more seafood or pasta special options most of them were meat specials. Also when we arrived it was not that crowded, but they tended to see people close to each other which made it a little more louder than it should be especially given the size of the dining room being a little bit smaller. We are definitely coming back and trying their other dishes and looks like would be fantastic on the summer time!

Just passing through at dinner time and wanted a nice break from driving. I have dairy allergy and often struggle with menu items except when a restaurant cooks to order, works with quality ingredients and actually knows how to make food taste good without butter. Lake View House met all my needs with flying colors. Had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly. Soup of the day also dairy free and wonderful. My husband had the ribs for appetizer which were wonderful, but too much for one person (sadly they did have dairy). As an entrée he had the pork chop special which was also awesome. Entrees came with vegetable of the day and potato or rice. They also offered a nice list of wines by the glass, as we limited to just one since we were driving.
I already recommended to friends and would to return in the spring or summer when they will be open for lunch. In November no view of the lake at dinner, but the place was charming just the same.

We really enjoyed our dinner. The sunset was beautiful. The restaurant was lovely. The food was delicious. Troy, our server, was probably one of the best waiters we’ve ever had. He was attentive without being overbearing. His description of the food made it sound delicious but was very accurate in terms of directing us towards the food that appealed to us and away from food that would not have worked as well.
The oysters Rockefeller were perfect for my taste — lots of spinach and Parmesan that complemented the oysters. The special pork osso bucco was tender. The vegetables were satisfying and tasted like a fall day. My husband enjoyed his steamed clams, delicious broth, warm bread to dip and his main course of their signature duck.
We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant for it’s delicious food and excellent service.

I’ve been told for many years how great this place is. And great is an understatement!!! The service was exceptional and the food better and better as the night went on. The fresh bread and calimari. My girlfriend said her pumpkin and shrimp ravioli was the best she’s ever had. I had the smoked chicken toscana and there aren’t any words that can do it any justice. All sauces used for the various courses were amazing. Great service from our waiter Jeremy and the busgirls!!! Will be back again! O yeah… the white chocolate frangelico cheese cake was even as good as the great meal.

Had a great experience tonight. Went there with my wife for our anniversary and they were very accommodating. I had flowers ordered and delivered there. They set them up on the table in advance at the best table outside. Great service and the food was exceptional. Will be going back again for sure!

When visiting my brother and his wife we decided to visit the Lakeview as they had said it was very good and the views spectacular. 6 of us went to dinner and we sat in a room that overlooked the lake. Outside seating was not available but we enjoyed the view all the same. Liz was our waitress and was really attentive even with 4 tables.
Mr brother had oysters on the half shell and his son escargot as appetizers and said they were great. Dinners all come with a nice salad and great warm bread. We all had various types of meals and everyone enjoyed their entrees. I had the short ribs as did my brother. Wife had a nice scrimp dish, sister in law had a steak, nephew the veal special and his girlfriend a pasta dish.
We split several desserts as they were huge!
The drink prices for cocktails and wine were reasonable and of good size. But here is where they lost a star. The soft drinks and iced tea were sold by the glass and every refill you were charged for separately. Our waitress did not mention this to us and by the time we were done my nephews coke was $ 9 and my ice tea $ 5. I think she should have told us that before refilling our glasses.
Would go back in a heartbeat. Great location, wait staff and good food.

have also had their steaks which are cooked to perfection. There is a reason third place is packed every time you drive by. v reading outside on the patio as the sun sets in the West is very romantic.

Travis was our waiter and he was the best! We had the Shrimp Antibiose, Scallops and steak. Everything was cooked to perfection.

I had a 2″ thick NY strip ordered medium and it was just perfect! Tender, juicy and cooked perfectly.

Had a wonderful time with friends last night. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. Delicious Peruvian Hangar Steak. I was doubtful at first since the chef recommended the steak needed to be served medium rare. I’m usually a medium-​well kinda gal! He was not wrong! The steak at medium rare was delicious. The service from the beginning was impeccable. The rest of my table thoroughly enjoyed their food.
Downside: limited parking

Our table faced a beautiful sunset, which was perfect with a glass of wine
Our Friday night special antipasto appetizer an assortment for all of us to please
Italian meat specialties, tasty olives, crusty bread and the homemade mozzarella cheese

The salads, fresh and tasty with a variety of dressings for all
So far so good, perfect evening, we were really having a ball
Then came the main courses with the presentations first class and posh
A delightful dish with scallops, filet and ravioli of butternut squash
Then there was the linguini with jumbo shrimp, fresh garlic, basil, and white wine
It was sprinkled with fresh parmesan cheese, very tasty, I would not share, it was all mine
One had the Friday night special of chicken Florentine
Perfect in every way, it was one of the best we tasted and the finest we have ever seen
The staff, as always, ever so friendly courteous and kind
We had Travis as our waiter, the best you will ever find
Too full to even consider their wonderful variety of dessert
Had to get home anyway, I had pasta all over my shirt

Great food, Top Service, Great View My Wife was very happy having the Kids and Grandkids. Price was worth every dollar.
