Unique By Design

love love love this salon! i have been going to manny for almost a year now and she always makes my hair look beautiful! i never thought my hair could look and feel so good until i started going to her. now she is the only person i will let touch my hair! she’s the sweetest person and i totally recommend her to anyone!

Let me start off by saying I am very unpleased with this salon and its staff. I had a very bad first experience here on Thursday (6−9−16). I called and made an appt with Monnique (sp?) for an A-​line haircut. She seemed to be really nice. She cut my hair and kept messing it up before I looked at it which I thought was strange, but I let it go went home straightened out my hair and that’s when I saw how much she butchered the back of my hair. I was mortified. I went in with long hair and came home with the worst haircut I have ever received in my life. I went back spoke with someone about what happened, and told them I was not happy. So a nice girl by the name of Brenda took about an hour of her time to fix my hair. She unfortunately had to cut more off my hair than I wanted in order to fix it. I asked for my money back, and when M gave me my money back she shorted me the tip I gave her. She also muttered kind of under her breath something about me just wanting a free haircut. The haircut was only $ 14 to begin with and I tipped her $ 6. I thought that was highly unprofessional and I wanted Brenda to have the money since she took her time to fix my hair. I made sure I told who I thought was the owner about the ordeal including M shorting me my money back. She said she would take care of it. At that time I made an appt with B for highlights for today (6−11−16) thinking ok she fixed my hair I’ll give her my business. Well I show up today, and low and behold I’m not scheduled til the following Saturday. I made the appt for today because I have an event to go to otherwise I would’ve made it for a different day all together. My patience and number of chances I was willing to give this established has just run out. I am very unhappy with the turn of events that have happened regarding Unique by Design. I will never ever give them my business again, nor will I recommend them to anyone ever. In addition to this review I plan on going onto all the social media sites to let the people know about my experience here. If people choose this place as their salon then I employ them to do so cautiously. Best of luck to anyone who takes their business to Unique by Design.

I had my hair done by Dominique, one of their stylist she takes a little too much time to do my highlights and dry my hair, sometimes not drying because my transportation has arrived. Although their staff, are willing to work with my schedule it always takes a little too long for my appointment’s.
Another downfall, this place needs is a washer and dryer, they shouldn’t have to take there work home… where’s the owner and what is going to be done with that darn bell that keeps ringing making you think someones coming thru the front door… it drives me and their customers crazy and still after all the complaints they’ve never fixed it… where’s the courtesy to your customers?

Arcelli is an excellent stylist. A perfectionist! She has always cut, dyed and highlighted
my hair with expertise. She was always as warm and friendly as she is professional.
I am very picky about who touches my hair and highly recommend her.

Araselli rocks!
First of al, Araselli does the best highlights I have ever, EVER had! (In 30+ years)
I am growing out my gray, and she suggested blending my natural color plus adding lowlights to pump up the color. Araselli does a beautiful, meticulously careful job every single time. The highlights are ultra thin, and my color grows out, and blends really well with the gray, even after 6 weeks.
I have never gotten an «Oops!» Color or cut.
I also must mention how sweet she is. When my adult daughter comes in to get highlights and haircuts from Araselli, she is always treated with exceptional kindness & concern for her comfort due to health issues.
Araselli takes the time to discuss your cut and color each time, so, you will not be stuck with the same thing automatically.
I just hope that after this review, I can still get an appointment with Araselli!

Recently I have gotten a few pedicures from Regina.
She did a very nice job. Regina is quite nice, and friendly.
I love the new massage chairs. The foot part sort of vibrates and is warm, and is soooo relaxing.
I highly recommend Regina if you want to be given a fantastic pedicure!

This review is in regards to the massage services offered by Nancy Lerno. I have been coming to Nancy for massage on and off for a year or so & I cannot say enough good things about her. She is very attentive to your needs and really goes the extra mile to make sure the areas that are giving you trouble are worked on thoroughly. I’m an ER Nurse and as such, my job is very physically and mentally draining. Seeing Nancy every couple of weeks is my «gift» to myself and I can really feel the difference in my body. It is such a relaxing experience… I so look forward to my appointments! Nancy is very in tune with the body & is able to find those little «tweaked» muscles that contribute to the bigger problems. Go see her! You will not regret it!

I’m not from the area, but while visiting family, I wanted (needed) to get a relaxing manicure.
I called and was pleasantly surprised to get a same day appointment with Regina. She was absolutely amazing! I typically do my own nails at home, but it never comes out the same. She was very meticulous about my nails, and was equally beautiful and funny to chat with. She made me feel at home.
I wish I lived nearby to have a weekly manicure with her. I could have pretty nails and save money on a therapist!

Every time I go to Unique by Design I ask for Katie Cole because she has yet to let me down. I go for a cut & color & leave it all up to her & she never disappoints me. I always love the cut & she’s always ready to try new colors. I highly recommend Unique by Design & Katie Cole.

I’ve had two pedicures and they’ve both been great and affordable! Only $ 20 for basic pedi! I saw Christi once and Linda another time and they were both just as good and accomodated me the same day I called in for an appt! I plan to continue going!
There is also a massage therapist, Adrian, that is awesome and very affordable!

I had a pedicure here not too long ago… maybe in May…
I think her name was B… but she was awesome! I have had my toes done many other places, but my french manicure lasted weeks… literally WEEKS… I was very happy with the outcome.
I had walked in and they accommodated me quickly, and B was full of conversation… she was pleasant, and used proper sanitation on tools (which I take notice of)
