Standard stuff. Just like any other Sizzler Ive ever been to. The food you order up front isn’t really that good. The salad bar and desert bars are okay and a must because the regular burgers or shrimps or steak are very bland. It doesn’t offer much just a way to get an all you can eat. Price is about the same as any other. Staff usually seem disinterested in what is going around except when you first get seated. If I want to eat a lot of food I come here still. But it isn’t really the best food. Not a lot of choices in the area though. Izzys isn’t a whole lot better sadly.

Well, reading other reviews on «food poisoning» I thought, «Ok I have to put my experience up, maybe I’ll help ward off other.» I walked in having never been to a Sizzler’s before and probably won’t go ever again just because the food is very basic.(And because I did have to run to the bathroom after eating here) I got the sirloin steak medium rare and I suppose that’s what I got but the meat had more of a pink hue than anything near red, the steak was very hard to cut through as well as chewy. Seemed like a waste of $ 15. Oh, I forgot to mention I found a hair in the clam chowder and even after having them replace their«signature» soup for a fresh one I opted not to because my immediate reaction was just, No. Hm, on a very positive note the waitress promptly took our dishes and smelled very nice, In fact all the employees were up to par, thank you for good service. Another thing before I end: At least try the mousse!

New fast food style ordering format was not what I was expecting but the salad bar and the food was amazing! I ordered a medium rare rib eye and not olny was it a good cut but it was also cooked properly… seared grill taste on the outside and pink throughout, not burnt or overcooked like most places. It was as good as the 12oz ribeye at Jack Neimann’s in Blaine washington yet part of the price. The waitress was killer as well. Great dinning experience. Update… the food was so good… too bad it was contaminated with something been on the toilet since an hour after dinner… thanks Sizzler for food poisoning.

The worst waiter we have ever had. We had to go to the front counter to ask for a drink. The waiter delivered the drinks almost slamming them onto the table. Didn’t give us any silverware when we arrived and giving us a bad attitude. Also the fruit here was horrible. It’s late and that’s the last thing we needed. NEVERCOMINGHEREAGAIN!!!

Salad/soup/small dessert/appetizer bar was good and probably enough food for most. Waiter brought by garlic toast too! Steak is very small on the combo dinners but was cooked very well and seasoned nicely. Good value.

Food was delicious. Steak cooked perfect. Salad bar was full of fresh goodies. Nice to get a real«baked» potato. Service was great. They even answered questions from us out-of-towers.

I was so excited to find a ‘Sizzler’ in Newport when I first moved here, and have had fairly good experiences there(salad bar) for the past 4 years, until my last two visits. I realized they are using bagged lettuce mix on the salad bar, and there has been a lot of wilted and dry looking lettuce. And no croutons. They’re gone! Hello? Last visit I discovered that they have changed the recipe for the beans and they now have onions in them I mentioned this to the manager, but he insisted their beans have always had onions in them. Is he is new? But the WORST, was that the ground beef in the ‘Mexican’ section has been replaced with ground turkey. When I asked the servers, they insisted it was beef, but the manager confirmed they had changed to turkey. It was GROSS! I had made a little taco salad, but didn’t finish it. They have replaced the spaghetti with with penne. There were maybe 30 pieces of penne in the bottom of the dish, all desiccated, greasy, and leathery. I was there just before 1PM on a weekday, and there were 5 tables with diners. The place should have been full. I got a steak there on my very first visit, and it was so bland and chewy – chew — chew – chew – my jaws got tired. Didn’t try it again. I told the manager I probably wouldn’t be back, he was OK with that. The chicken wings were dry and tough. And in the meantime, the prices keep going up. Their Senior Discount is a free soft drink… no thanks. Time to check out Izzy’s…Abbeys recently discontinued their salad bar too. Anyone wanting to open a salad bar in Newport: the Coast is wide open! I’m really going to miss the ‘old’ Sizzler… so sad…

Ordered the fish and chips. Bad choice it seems. The fillets were greasy and they threw in what seemed to be leftover fries. However, my wife’s salmon was pretty good. The seating area was clean and presentable.

Great looking restaurant, with a trellis drop ceiling, etc., and very clean with a fresh salad bar that has Waldorf salad with chunks of apple and the now expensive walnuts! Ice cream is delicious… Service is good too :)

I’ve never felt more full and gross in my life. In other words: this is AMAZING! I guess I’m the kind of person who occasionally likes to have dining experiences that feel somewhat depraved, and this is an area where Sizzler shines. As I dined I felt like I was some kind of Roman emperor. Generally, I think people have a negative overall opinion of Sizzler. Tell people you’re going there for a meal and you’ll probably hear things along the lines of, «their food is bad» or «why don’t you just eat out of a trough, you scumbag». I’d say those people are being a bit too judgmental. I’m not going to lie: the food is not great, but you do get a LOT of it. And if you like to eat salad by the pound, you could certainly do worse than Sizzler. I don’t know if I’d ever order a steak here because of the way it looks in photographs, but I did order a burger and it was highly competent and pretty tasty. I’ve also heard people describe the atmosphere of Sizzler as being«sombre» and«depressing», but I didn’t feel that was the case at this location. I did notice a solitary elderly patron across the dining area directing his thousand yard stare at nothing in particular, but I don’t know if that’s what I’d consider depressing. So I guess Sizzler leads me to conclude that people need to lighten up in general. One thing I do NOT like about Sizzler is their business model does not encourage tipping the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They are just as deserving as anyone in the hospitality industry to be rewarded for providing quality service and it would be nice if Sizzler recognized this about their talent.

Been a long time since we had visited a Sizzler. My husband’s steak was delicious. The unlimited shrimp was just ok. The salad bar gluten-free options were limited — hard boiled eggs were the only protein option. Most items had allergen tags, and when I asked about the soup and three salads that didn’t have tags, the guy refilling the bar said there were no tags for them. I should have ordered a meal that included the salad bar so that I could end up with a dinner that contained protein and vegetables. Restaurant was clean, service was ok…

I haven’t been to a Sizzler in who knows how long. I had the steak and grilled shrimp and it was surprisingly really great. The steak was done perfectly and more shrimp than I had expected there would be(no complaints there). The restaurant was clean, the manager was very friendly and helpful, and our server was attentive and cheeful. The system for ordering is a bit weird, but that’s the way it goes. Yes, we would go back.

Review for 10/14/2012: I’ve had decent meals here before, but… Salad bar was run down Food was cold and tough Food was served less than 5 minutes after we gave our drink orders, so we didn’t have time to enjoy the pickings we did get at the salad bar Ice cream was mostly ice OK, so it was Monday evening at 7:00PM, but if you don’t want to be ready for business, don’t open the doors. Waitress didn’t offer to make any of it right — just mentioned that this was the second night in a row for the cold food. Note that the previous day was MOTHER’S DAY. That must have made some wonderful memories for someone!!! If the owner wants this place to stay in business he or she needs to get on top of this. NOW.

I can’t believe I gave it 4 stars. But you know, my rib-eye was perfect. Salad bar to get the fiber in. Very strange people to watch stuffing their faces. It could have been 5 stars, but I LOATHE the whole get in line to order like some kind of fast-food thing. IT cheapens the experience. I also felt sorry for the servers who I noticed got no tip from a table of 5 behemoths who left a mess the size of Caligula’s orgy.
