My massage was great. Good pressure and overall approach by massage therapist. The facilities however did not match the treatment. There was hair in the drain, a hook fell off the wall in the shower area and the robes are so ragged and over used. Cosmetic updates and changes are needed before I can give this toppers a more positive review.

I bought my Mom a gift certificate here for Christmas for a body wrap, I hesitated because my mother is a medical aesthetician. My Mom LOVED the girl who did her body wrap… however after she showered off she asked for sunscreen to put on to walk out in the summer heat with & they didn’t carry any. what spa doesn’t carry or sell SUNSCREEN?! Don’t write«skin care» in your business description if you can’t care enough about skin to sell sunscreen. Not only that, but they used a body butter on her that they didn’t even have in stock… so she couldn’t even purchase any products, what kind of sales department does this spa have? My Mom had money left on her gift card so today she got a pedicure… paid $ 50 for a pedicure that felt like a polish change. If you’re going to overprice your services you should have professionals working there that can back up your ridiculous prices. I won’t be purchasing anymore gift certificates for anyone anymore from here.

I’m a member here and highly recommend becoming one if you like to get a regular treatment. Samantha is THEBEST for a massage. The VIP pricing is great too. I know people love DW, but I pay 65 for a service and when I went to DW, it was almost twice that — not to mention the creaky floorboards overhead totally disrupted achieving any kind of «zen moment». Oh, and I must give a shout out to the ladies at the front desk — they are great!

Had a detox wrap here that was fantastic I left feeling like a while new gal! I think Cindy made it wonderful. She took her time and was so sweet. I enjoyed it so much that I went back three days later for an eye treatment with her again. I got a vip pass to save on products and treatments since I will be going back often until I move out of Newtown and my inflammation has subsided — the detox scrub was amazing for he inflammation! Not to mention smelled great and my skin is still soft nearly a week later

Next time Im going back to serenity day spa! I paid too much for nothing… Went there yesterday with my boyfriend. My boyfriend loved his deep tissue massage, I on the other hand FELTNOTHING the young girl(nice but inexperienced) never asked how was the level of pressure nor if i had any problem areas… my neck has been killing me and all i wanted was some one to dig right into it. I paid over $ 350 for my boyfriend(The birthday boy) and I to receive a deep tissue message… Im sorry I spent that kind of money for some one to fake massage me. I will never be coming back!

This place has terrible customer service. I had a hair appointment today(which the staff member acknowledged as having been made), but it «wasn’t in the system». So after taking the day off, hiring and paying for a babysitter and driving 40 minutes, I left this high end salon having had no treatment. Their response– oh, we have a new girl. She must have messed up. Apparently in this place, customer service consists of throwing new employees under the bus and doing nothing to rectify the problem caused.

The last massage we had was less than stellar — and so we decided to try David Witchell’s. It is not that much more expensive for a much more decadent experience. I would definitely recommend DW over Toppers any day. Glad I figured that one out.

I feel that Toppers(at least the one in Newtown) has really gone downhill. The bathroom is in bad shape with it bordering on unclean. For an expensive manicure and pedicure, I feel that the technicians are very good. But the color choices are almost non-existent; especially the pales. It used to be that you took home a bottle of nail polish with your mani/pedi but it seems that now you practically have to bring your own color with you.

I had the worst massage ever. I felt like a piece of meat being pounded and slapped around. And what Toppers charges for a massage – $ 110– is much higher than any other in the area.

Melissa gives the best massage. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but it’s worth every penny!
