It was late at night and I was desperate for a room so I called here. The phone message claimed the entire motel was just renovated. THISIS A LIE!!! They merely painted. That is all. And quite a while ago from what it appeared. The manager later admitted to this. First impression walking in, it smells STRONG of spices and food(curry). STRONG! The guy came out to the front desk dressed very casually. He had gunk on his hands and explained he was cooking and needed to wash his hands. He came back very shortly after(which indicated to me it wasn’t a very thorough wash) and I asked to see one of the rooms. He said he was not allowed where the rooms were past 10pm but I could see them on a fuzzy wobbly digital picture frame. They looked ok. Not great but ok. That is because they photos were taken when the rooms were first built I assume. I went to my room and wow! Disgusting. Everything was dirty and stained. Covered in thick dust. The wall looked like it had been punched. It looked like there was coffee splattered all over the walls and ceiling. At least I hope it was coffee. There was mold on the sheets and a big nasty stain on the box spring. I immediately complained and asked for a refund. He said they could not refund due to «corporate policy». He agreed the room was gross and got me a different one. He took me to the room… hmmm. I thought you weren’t allowed back here past 10? It was still gross but not as bad… at least until I started noticing things. I bit the bullet and just spent the night(with my own linens on top of the disgusting comforter fully clothed) as I found stains on the bed. A nasty sock between the mattress and box. The furniture upholstery and bedding was gross, outdated and torn. The fridge and microwave were disgusting. Food remnants… The fridge was missing shelves and the plastic that holds things in place. The freezer had what looked to be a layer of frozen yogurt on the bottom with wrappers and junk in it. The heater was old dirty and loud. You had to plug it in yourself to turn on into a melted outlet. Nice and safe. It never shut off either. There was banging and clanging all night in the lot. Think it was the dumpster. Bathtub and tile stained and outdated and gross. Caulk everywhere for repairs. Toilet seat broken. No garbage can in the bathroom. Two microwaves(one was broken). It genuinely looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Fought hard but got a refund for the rest of my stay I had booked as I booked a week. I wouldn’t have lasted one more day in that dump. Trust me. Any extra money you pay to stay somewhere else is worth it! I’ll say it again. RUN!!! ITISDISGUSTING!!!

I wish I could leave a zero-star rating for this place. My fiancé and I made a one-night reservation at the Red Carpet Inn because we were in town for a wedding. We booked the room through Orbitz several weeks in advance and showed up an hour before the wedding. Upon trying to check in, we were told that the hotel didn’t have any record of our reservation, even after we showed them our confirmation email. The guy at the front desk was completely unwilling to help us understand what had happened and informed us that the Rolling Stones were in town that night and there were no available rooms within a 90-mile radius, except for a few which were upwards of $ 250/night. We can’t be sure, but we think once the hotel realized they could charge considerably more that weekend(thanks to the concert and Taste of Buffalo), they decided to throw out our reservation and fill it with someone else. It completely ruined our evening as we spent the entire wedding reception trying to make accommodations elsewhere. Orbitz did, however, have our reservation on file, called the hotel, and made no progress with them, either. We were given a $ 50 Orbitz voucher that couldn’t be used that night for our trouble. DON’T EVENBOTHERWITHTHISPLACE.

For the price, the place was clean, the parking lot was big, and there were no bugs. Not the Ritz by any stretch, but as far as bargain travel motels, this one was OK.

I’m writing this review at 5am because I can’t seem to fall asleep here. Every 15 mins the toilet keeps running, and because I can’t even close the bathroom door, it’s hard to block out the noise… Hence the reason why I can’t seem to sleep. The beds are comfy, room is clean, but I’ve seen cheaper places that were better. And trust me, I am not the type of person to say that, but I have to here. I’m not sure what the other customers are paying but I had to pay the jerk at the front desk over $ 100 for a room that I wasn’t even going to stay in for more than 7 hours. Since we’d been driving around for ½ an hour or so looking for a room, I didn’t care too much about the price… But I can’t sleep, so I don’t know… Kind of feeling a tad scammed? Maybe it’s because I don’t stay at motels/inns/hotels too often but, it’s not like I’ve never been to one, and like I’ve said, I’ve seen better, cheaper, less shady than this place. If I were you, the fellow Unilocaler currently reading this, I suggest you go to one of the other motels/inns/hotels around the area(cause there’s 4 more right near here but were sadly full at the time) which won’t overcharge for a room of this quality. To be honest, I wouldn’t have minded paying $ 100+ for this room if the guy at the desk hadn’t pretty much forced me to pay cash– not credit for this room… And if the bathroom door was functioning like a door should.

The dedication to the Red Carpet motif is commendable, extending even to the severely magenta hue dominating the television. Parking was conveniently located directly outside of our door, but the location seemed less than ideal when the paper-thin walls allowed our neighbors to wake us up as they warmed their car in the morning to loud talk radio. The price was definitely the lowest we could find in the Buffalo area, but this is not the sort of place you should look to for any sort of romantic getaway. The bathroom, with the exception of some mildew, was clean. Well, clean-ish. The sheets and the main room were very clean, and the bed was comfortable. But I found it a shame the pillows had been beaten into submission so badly.

I got what I paid for plus had access to free wifi so I am happy with that. The room did come with a microwave and fridge. Around 10am they turned the TV off so I thought lol but it came back on after I called front desk to remind them that it was not 11 yet. The housekeepers are hard working. Its walking distance to Wal-Mart but for the most part this place is in the middle of nowhere, that could be a plus or minus; all depending. If you need a place to crash as I did for a quick visit save some money and stay here, the bed and pillows are not perfect but all things considered for the money paid its cool. It says renovated. Thats a LIE!
