High Pointe, Niles

Wow! After working all day at work I was really looking forward to dinner here. Went to the bar side as I always have, and never would have imagined what happened next. It’s 6:20 this Wednesday evening, not very busy, there’s two girls behind the bar who have waited on me in the past. The short thin red head, and the short blonde. I know that they saw me sit down because they both looked right at me as they walked by, did either one of them ask me what I would like? Not! 10 minutes passed, and no acknowledgement finally I got up, said screw this shit, and left. Customer sitting next to me said that he doesn’t blame me a bit for leaving. Thought it was me until I went to write this review, and saw that Anne S had the same shitty experience. Won’t be going back here again, not when I can go to up a creek or ice house for some awesome deals. To the owner/​manager, I was really looking forward to a nice dining experience, and your girls ruined it. Better watch out for your business, or it won’t be long before you have no business.

Average food. typical bar food the more high end food is just basic nothing stood out and prices are a little high! Good place to grab some drinks on a Friday or Saturday night and do a little dancing but unless it’s a late night snack to go with your drinks there are definitely better options for dinner!

Love this place the service is always great the atmosphear is inviting and warm. A real family friendly place on the restaurant side and a good time for the adults on the bar side. The food is fantastic every time I go no matter what I get. My favorite is the chicken marsala. The Alfrado sauce though comes close. I can’t ever decide which alfrado dish I want the chicken alfrado pizza chicken and broccoli alfrado pasta mmmmmmm so good. Also the food always comes out in perfect timing and always hot and satisfying. I would give this place 10 stars if I could great job!!!

We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and were warmly greeted by the owner. We perused the menu and found a few things that interested us. I got the chicken walnut and cranberry salad. Tons of walnuts– yum! And was pleased they served dressing on side because I didn’t need it all. It would’ve drowned the goodies in the salad. My mom order soup and ½ sandwich. She selected wedding soup and thought there was too much pasta. She also had a ½ club sandwich which was loaded with meat. Mom gave it 2 thumbs up!

Horrible place. Owner yells at staff and complains about them to the customers. We tried High Pointe twice and the food was mediocre both times. The staff was truly a mess. The first night the waitress told us she was new and we attributed that up the clumsiness if the evenings orders. The second time the waitress was just rude and when we complained the manager was equally as rude! I would never ever set foot in there again!

Horrible place to go. We went in on the bar side and they would not even acknowledge us or the people next to us. We had to leave. If you go there don’t plan on getting service. The inside smelled very foul as well. Ultimately glad we left. Would give zero stars if I could.

I eat at here almost every day, the people are great, the waitresses know what I like to drink, with out asking. I like the food — their grilled chicken salad is really good.

My family and I tried this restaurant because I bought a deal ($ 25 voucher for $ 10). I probably would not have tried it because it looks more like a bar than a restaurant from the outside. But … We figured we’d give it a try.
We were all very impressed!!! And will definitely be back again. We all tried something a little different. Cheese Sticks for an app; standard and yummy. My son tried a panini which he said was good. I tried their double decker hamburger (called the High Pointe Burger. WOW! Hand pressed patties, home made bun, great home made sauce! I loved it! The fries were hand cut too and outstanding!!!
My other son and wife both tried a pizza. This was really good. Note: You do NOT need to order extra cheese. They put plenty on their pizzas. My son ordered extra cheese and it was INSANE how much cheese they used! LOL! The crust was really great. They needed to use a bit more sauce tho.
Not only was the food great, but the service was good too. The owner stopped by to ask us how our food was. When we said it was our first time there, he introduced himself and asked if we needed anything.
Outstanding! Lots of food! Great prices! We will be back.

I hate that the name of this place is mis-​spelled. But despite that, they have some really good food. The menu consists of mostly American fare, (burgers, steaks etc.) but there are a few Italian dishes on there as well. The pizza here is very decent! I highly recommend the seafood pizza or the 4-​cheese. Portion sizes are huge and the prices are actually pretty fair.
If you’re looking for something to do at night, High Pointe has a great bar and some excellent entertainment. Sunday night is Karaōke Night with Simply Ed. Every other Wednesday, Singer/​guitarist Mark from The Rage plays Acoustic.
I like High Pointe and I definitely recommend going there whether it be for food or for a good time or for both! Great service and awesome bartenders!
