Great for organics. Many interesting choices(vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore) and a pleasant casual atmosphere.

Super place for vegetarians and folks that eat gluten free. They also have many things for those that don’t follow a special diet. The place was bright, clean and there were many choices. Our server was efficient and friendly. The carrot cake smoothie was awesome! My hubby had the burger with a GF bun and I had the GF avocado wrap. Will go back if ever in the area again.

This place was amazing ! They started off with bringing us edamame which was fantastic and had a good spice too it and I ordered the kombucha on tap, the vegan beet Ruben, and the blueberry wine all of which were fantastic I was surprised by the beet Ruben because it truly was delicious and I’m not the biggest fan of beets this is a must go to !

This is definitely a healthy place to eat. This was my second time there, and the friend that came with me, has to be extremely careful what she eats because of health issues, and she was amazed at the selection and the freshness. It’s a bit pricey, but food and service are excellent, so I’m not complaining too much! Even off season they are being kept quite busy.

Wonderful healthy choices I had the salmon sandwich and wheat grass. Small dinning room and you have to drive behind the restaurant to park a little confusing the first time. Check out the menu online.

WOW. I have had this location bookmarked for an embarrassing amount of time(think 2+ years), yet somehow never made it… til this weekend! Café Evergreen knocks it out of the park with fantastic, friendly service, as well as an incredibly fresh and healthy menu(seriously, it is one of those places that it’s so hard to choose an entrée because EVERYTHING sounds delicious), AND to top it off, gorgeous presentation. I ended up going with their Chana Masala(which was prepared with chickpeas and eggplant) and serviced with a quiona pilaf. SO flavorful and yummy! I enjoyed it with our server’s recommendation, the kefir mojito(non-alcoholic) and ended with their amazing flourless chocolate cake. I would definitely recommend Café Evergreen, and hope to return again soon!

Love this place! Patrick was great! Only restaurant that really understands what healthy food is all about. The peanut butter pie left us room so we could stop at the store and get some ice cream :-). Can’t wait to visit next year!

This place is excellent. I cannot eat any grains or any dairy products and I had multiple options. The waitstaff is engaged, energetic, and provide great service. They even have vegan desserts that contained no grain. They were quite good. If you want healthy food in a place that understands food allergies and dietary restrictions, this is the place for you! Omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, gluten free folks, and those with other dietary restrictions will not be disappointed!

We’ve been huge fans of Café Evergreen since they were located at Warm Mineral Springs spa. I feel like I’m eating really healthy food that is also seriously satisfying and good. Anything salmon that they make is fantastic and I am addicted to their sweet potato fries. Pretty sure we have tried everything on the menu and it’s all great… you can’t go wrong. The owner cares about quality and taste and experience. The atmosphere is hip and the place has a great vibe.

Finding a good restaurant is hard for us. I eat a whole-food plant based diet, so eating out is rare. We came here with my parents for my husbands birthday dinner. I ordered the Kelp Noodle Stir Fry and it was amazing. The sauce was delectable– I need a copy cat recipe ASAP. I can eat a lot, and I still was able to take some for lunch the next day. My mom ordered the Avocado Wrap and added salmon, she raved about it. My husband ordered the Beef Brisket and could not believe the HUGE serving size. We were all stuffed!!! The Avocado Sliders are really good too. Service was great, our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable. If you save room for desert– I highly recommend the peanut butter one! BONUS– all deserts are VEGAN!

While I refer to this place as a «chick restaurant», there is no denying it is one of the best places to eat in the area. The flavors and textures of the food is out of this world and I always feel healthier for eating there. While I was hesitant to try the quinoa cakes, they are one of my all-time favorite things to eat. The service has always been great and the wait staff is very good. You need to walk in with an open mind because some of the menu items sound weird. Kale noodles? Seriously? Yeah, sounds weird but soooo good!!! This place is one of the best kept secrets in Nokomis!

Although I am new to the organic foods, each time I have gone to Café Evergreen, I have always enjoyed my meal. They offer a wide variety of options. So far I have had the Black Bean Burger and the Waldorf Chicken Salad Wrap. I really liked the«Evergreen» and Berry Blast smoothies. I’ll be back to continue trying new foods.

It’s true. I am not posting nearly as often as I once did. There are multiple reasons for this that all stem for the same source… I have a one year old. Going out to eat doesn’t happen very often anymore… because I have a one year old. When I do get out for a treasured, rare, date night with my husband, I never seem to find the time to write about it… because I have a one year old. When we go out as a family, it’s usually to places we’ve been before, or where we know the owners… because I have a one year old. Today was different. Today was a VERY special day. It was the first day in over a year that I took an official day off from my one year old. Now don’t get me wrong. I loooooove being a mom. I loooooooove spending time bonding with, playing with, and taking care of her, but OMG, today was glorious. First on the agenda was to finally go for lunch at Café Evergreen. I’ve heard such great things about it and the menu is incredible… sooooo many pescaterian options that sound amazing. When I sat down the friendly waitress made some suggestions at my request and they were ALL appealing. Clearly I’m going to need to make a few more visits. I told her why it was a special day for me and she was totally supportive and amused, and stayed to chat a bit before she left me to ponder the menu options. The manager came by soon after with a complimentary edamame appetizer which was a nice touch– although I didn’t love the strong seasoning they put on it. I prefer my edamame done classically with just a pinch of sea salt. When the waitress returned for my order I told her that I was taking her recommendation of the Roasted Beet Reuben and I chose the Arugula/apple/almond salad as my side. She had mentioned to me that she’d never had beets(?!?) before that sandwich and that she really loved it. Beets are one of my very favorite foods, and lately I’ve been on a huge sauerkraut kick, so it didn’t take much to convince me. As I reveled in my aloneness, I let my mind wander to this blog and how I used to find such satisfaction in writing entries. I looked forward to this moment of writing and reminiscing about my meal, and vowed to make more of an effort to stick with it even with the challenges that motherhood has brought. I decided right then and there that there would be more of an effort to take ‘me’ days, and that those days would surely include more trying restaurants by myself like I used to in the ‘old days’. My meal came out looking delicious and I dug right in. WOW. That sandwich was shockingly good. Fresh, lightly-toasted, marble rye, warm, sweet, roasted, beets, melty Swiss cheese, tangy sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. These are things that I wouldn’t have guessed would taste so so so good together but seriously, it was one of the best flavor combos I’ve ever had. The salad was simple and perfect with a light, creamy, dill dressing that complimented the whole meal beautifully. When the waitress came to check on me I raved about my lunch, so happy that I’d finally gotten down to Venice to check this great café out. She joked with me that given my day-off-rose-colored glasses, situation, it probably wasn’t too hard to impress me. Well, maybe she was right… but this really was an absolutely perfect meal. Lunch with a large side of freedom. I’ll be back for sure.

There is a good reason this place has now 50 reviews with average of 5 stars. The organic food options here are amazing. There are many salads, sandwiches, entrees and drinks. Their juices and smoothies alone are quite extensive. There is matcha tea iced and hot just for Melony. My hubby had the chicken with Potato gnocchi and portabello mushrooms. The flavor is vibrant. I know that sounds like a fluffy word, but no other way to describe it. I had the kelp stir fry with chicken and veggies. I never had kelp noodles before. Hard to imagine that it is made of kelp seaweed, and it’s not a carb. Totally amazing. I had a fresh coconut with coconut water. My little shihtzu named Mocha Coconut had to try his name sake. The berry smoothie was great as well. Everything here was wonderfully fresh and organic.

Found this lunch spot on Unilocal(of course) and as we were passing right by… glad we stopped in. The space is comfy and the staff is warm and friendly. The food is health conscious, fresh and wonderful. The selections of dishes, teas and smoothies will please the vegans and carnivores alike. I had the most amazing grass fed steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms, and my wife opted for a healthy salad.

It is not that often that one would plan a café stop that is «out of the way» on their vacation, but we never come within 50 miles of this place without stopping. Café Evergreen is well worth it! Their smoothie bar is full of tantalizing concoctions that make decision making a chore. They also have my personal fav… wheatgrass shots with a natural foam on top! The Avocado Salad is huge and could be shared if you were not very hungry. I was hungry so I ate the whole thing. And get this — they bring complementary edamame beans to the table! Delish!!! Oh…and last but not least, the service is EXCELLENT !!!
