Food always amazing. Recommend the Bruschetta and potato leek soup. I got a steak, it was a little fatty but had great taste. My family loved everything, had a great time. Would go back next time they visit.

I am so sad about this place. I think I gave it 3 stars out of loyalty. I used to love this place, one of my absolute favorites. When we first started coming to Swingers Grille, the atmosphere was that of a sophisticated dinner club. They got rid of Sunday Brunch and have had several menu changes and it is not the same anymore. We came here for our 21^st wedding anniversary dinner and we were VERY over dressed in business casual. They use to serve 3 sliders in an order now only 2 sliders, crab rangoons were over cooked and overly breaded, buffalo chicken salad had barely any chicken or blue cheese on it. Overall this is no longer a special place nor special food. The quality has just gone down while the prices are still high. I could get a better buffalo chicken salad at BWs. I guess you know a place is in trouble when they start offering deals on Friday happy hours. Sad…

Amazing and unique food with a great bar and very friendly staff. Weekly and monthly specials with live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. And the Baltimore Zoo!

I’ve been here several times and always had a great meal.
Menu changes at least a few times per year and has some great dishes.
They also have some good specials, like $ 5 burgers, $ 5 wings and $ 2 off drafts on Tuesday’s.
I’ve always sat at the bar and the service was good.

I went here with my ex girlfriend to have drinks and dinner. She had the Salmon and I had the Chilean Bass. Both were amazing! The evening was made though by the company that I was with as well as our waiter. Derek was amazing and was very attentive to our needs. The interesting thing is that not only was our waiter the same one that we had on our first date but that even the table we sat at was the same as well. A great restaurant and a wonderful evening.

Awesome atmosphere! Awesome service and food! I had the shoulder tender and my spouse the prime rib. We had reservations because it was valentines weekend and got sat right in at the table we requested. Great server who was extremely attentive. Bonus… I added sauteed mushrooms to my steak for a very low price and they were THE best I’d ever eaten. This place is the example of fine dining in Normal IL! They even had a small jazz band!

Really like the lunches here. Good service and good food !

Have specials some days?

We had a large group come here last weekend and we were pretty much the only ones there! Turns out they closed at 11:00 pm on Saturday night! I remember when this place first opened it was busy and happening all the time, but not anymore. I don’t know what happened but it seems like this place has been run into the ground.
Some of us ordered desserts and they were actually quite good. They were out of some of the desserts and beers that we wanted and the service was a little slow.
I hope things improve!

We found ourselves here because they were the only place we could find taking reservations for an early dinner due to the local university’s graduation. After eating here, I know why! The food was okay, but the service was awful! Our waiter couldn’t remember our orders, we had to ask several times for items, one of the orders came half way through the rest of our meals, he forgot a round of drinks, our food came out and they placed the tray by our table and instead of serving us, he took an order for another table. The drinks we did get, were not made well… I could go on and on…
I’m giving them 2 stars, because the food wasn’t horrible. I will not be swinging my way back there anytime soon and can’t recommend anyone to do so either.

If you’re feeling posh and fancy a swanky beverage, go here — but go after 9pm. Before 9pm, the drinks are a lil weak. After 9pm, the werewolf transformation takes hold of the bartenders and they really make them count!

Ordered fish and chips for lunch. Asked to replace chips with sweet potato fries. One of best lunches I have with people from work!

This place was terrible. First thing we didn’t have a reservation, so they were kind of rude about it. There was only 2 people in our party. I called ahead and was told no problem, no wait. But the changed. When seated we waited forever then a server asked us for our drinks, and was told our server would be there shortly, but we heard him tell her he was too busy. So, she told us she would be our server. I mean dude, say that out of earshot of the customer.
The new server was very nice. Things coming out of kitchen looked good. But again I think they forgot about us. Fries came out cold along with my prime rib sliders. Do not ordered these! 11 bucks for all fat not meat tiny sandwich with no sides. I barely ate anything all chewy fat.
Top it off they charged our card twice so we were out money for a week to get resolved. PASS PASS PASS.

Drinks are great and food is amazing! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the people are easy to get along with! Keep on the lookout for one of Swingers Beer or Wine dinners!

This is one of my favorite spots in Normal. I think the location is a bit out there, but the space they have is great and allows them to do what they do. They have a golf range, a sort of sun room patio for parties, OTB, and a small entertainment stage. Their specials are incredible. Tuesday — Friday you are certainly sure to find something to fit your wallet and appetite. My favorite is Wednesday: half price bottles of wine and $ 5 wine flights. I was impressed with how much wine I got and the selection they offered.
I’m a fan of their take on bruschetta and highly recommend. Their lunch and dinner menus are both fantastic. The blackened tilapia sandwich and salmon entrée are my favorites. Their soups have always been hot and on point.
My favorite part about dining here?
Their music selection. Although Rafael may not manage the restaurant anymore, I really hope they continue to play what they do. (Umphreys McGee, Grateful Dead, Yonder, SCI, Zeppelin, etc.) I can’t name a single spot in town that plays anything like it consistently. If you’re into great food, jam bands & bluegrass, craft beer & wine (or golf) this is the spot for you! They also do live music (and $ 3.5 sangrias) on Thursday which is pretty cool.

Love eating here. But the last 2 times we came.
My sons graduation dinner was over cooked. Service was very slow. It was not packed and busy.
Then Mother’s Day 2015 I ordered prime rib. Cooked perfectly but had so much salt on it that I could not finish eating. Veggies were harder than dente.
Decided if we want a pricy meal again we will go to Jim’s steak house or Alexander’s steak house.

Had dinner and two bottles of wine which were delicious. The salmon entrée was outstanding because it was not overlooked or tough… it was just the right texture. The mashed potatoes were great because they were not too garlicky. Our server, Derek (sp?), was very friendly and honest about recommendations. He chatted with us for a minute after the dinner crowd died down; you could tell he’s been working there for a time and really enjoys his job. That interaction made the night!

The name initially led me to passover in my search. I was thinking it was some loud bar where the main attraction is loving yourself in wanting to be envied by the less than cool and pretty people, like me. However, a second search led me to think it might not be as bad as originally thought. It wasn’t until I arrived I saw it was on a golf course.
Anyway, the food. I went with the buffalo chicken and it was one of the best ones I’ve had in long time. Good in proportion, very crispy. The homemade chips may not have been some of the best but still good. Don’t fogey my lovely bride would say a good by me means very good to most, I’m a tough customer.
Cedric my server was good as well tended to my needs with out overlooking me as a dog waiting for a morsel of food to drop. But he was on the spot when it was time to ask for the check.
The ambiance, (I like that word makes me feel I’m one of the cool and pretty), was good not bright but lit enough you could find those unwanted things in your food (I found none).
The going out the door on Swinger’s Grill is if it was local it be my go to place for a buffalo chicken. Why not five stars? I’m a tough customer baby, look at my pic.

Very underrated spot in town. Great bar, great beer and liquor selection, and good food. Not to mention, they also have OTB, and a two story driving range on site too. As a golfer, this is a win-​win, but even if you don’t like golf this a fun place to go.
Good for dates or if you’re looking for a break from all the chain restaurants that tend to dominate BloNo. Country Club feel without the Country Club prices.

The Atlantic Salmon dinner with the Left Hand Milk Stout is the perfect beer and fish combo! A must try when your down here visiting the kiddos at ISU!

This is one of the top 3 restaurants in Bloomington Normal. Hands down I’ve never had a bad experience. The Friday night crowd says it all — they always seem busy.
I recently enjoyed the $ 20 Prime Rib. It was perfect. The crust was salty and peppery, the middle was medium rare and the texture was rested and could be cut with a fork. Served with fresh daily veggies and I opted for the loaded baked potatoe. What a treat.
The staff is always professional. The atmosphere is alive and bustling. The food is of the highest quality. The overall experience is the best time and again.
