Ultimately, Rick’s is just a snack bar type place in a casino where you can get something quick to eat and get back to whatever it is you are doing at the casino. I think it’s a superior option to the other fast service places at Riverwind(all chains). The pizza is not good, I do not endorse the pizza. This is the reason Rick’s gets 3 stars from me. But, the burgers are above average considering the type of place Rick’s is. Let me be clear, they are not above average for ALL burgers, but they are above average for burgers at a quick service place in a casino. Certainly better than your other burger quick option at Riverwind, which is Burger King. My last time at Rick’s I tried the jalapeño ranch chicken sandwich, and was very glad Id did. This is served on a large whole wheat bun with lots of chicken plus grilled jalapenos and onions. I added provolone because adding cheese to stuff is what I usually do. The chicken was freshly cooked, it was not frozen. The onions/peppers were freshly grilled, and you get a good amount of them. The cheese was nice and melty. Most importantly, the sandwich was constructed in such a way that I got every ingredient in every bite. I even got it to go and it was still piping hot when I got home. Absolute re-order. The side was fried okra, which was good. I’ve certainly had better, but also had much worse. The sides are what you expect: fried stuff. But, the prices are decent given its location, and like I said, it’s a far superior option to Burger King. I’ve found my quick lunch when I’m out at Riverwind.
