I gave this place an extra star bc my bf had forgot his ID at the front desk and we had left this establishment and back in NY. Capri motel had mailed his ID back. Which I think is very thoughtful. Thank you!

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this establishment this past weekend after searching for a place to stay near New Bedford on short notice, and I was very unimpressed. To start, the door to the office is locked(you have to be buzzed in), the receptionist is behind a window, and there is a prominent display of condoms for sale near his desk. Not a good sign… He couldn’t find our reservation(and I observed the same the next day for another couple signing in), and it was very difficult to understand his speech. Once we got through that process, he gave us a keycard with no explanation of where the room was. It was a very no-fills room, with no comfortable chairs and no closet at all. The rug was stained and torn in places. The bed, on the other hand, was fine, the best attribute of the room. The other good quality was that at least the 2 nights we stayed there it was very quiet, even though a sign said they were sold out. When we arrived in the evening for the 2nd night, we found the keycard would not work. We had to go to the office and wait 15 minutes for another party to check in, before the attendant reprogrammed the card to allow us back in the room we had paid for. He offered no apology or explanation for this absurd circumstance. When I testily asked him how it happened, he waved at the computer and blamed«the system», a lack of responsibility that didn’t help my mood. My wife also found several long hairs(not hers or mine) on a towel, presumable from housekeeping while we were out for the day. Needless to say, I have no intention of staying again at this motel.
