Bob’s Big Boy

I grew up eating with my family at the Bob’s Big Boy in Simi and was really bummed out when it closed down. Then I used to go to the Burbank location almost every Friday night. So glad that there is a Bob’s Big Boy closer to home! Customer service was awesome. They were crowded and busy, but we were greeted with a friendly face and seated immediately. Miranda was our server and she was amazing. Super sweet and friendly and quick and efficient! The food was awesome. It was my kids first time eating there and they loved it! We will for sure be going back soon!

Great food, attentive staff, entertaining atmosphere. Prefer this location over Toluca Lake even. Seems they make a concerted effort to keep customers coming back. Portions are generous. Great Cobb Salad if you’re in the mood for a salad. The naysayers seem overly picky cranks on this one by a long shot.
If one doesn’t care for what is served call the waiter and exchange or have it remade. Put down the g’dm smartphone and TALK with people, kids.

I prefer the one in Burbank because they have crushed ice and the food is better, but the staff at this location is so friendly! Lettie is the best waitress there. She is very attentive and on the ball.

Nothing to write home about. Went with a party of three on Saturday night, waited 40 minutes from the time we ordered to have our food served to us. Milk shakes were over-​blended, and the food was just OK. We had to grab a bottle of ketchup and another table setting from the table next to us because they weren’t brought to us. Their strawberry lemonade was tasty however, I’d order it again. Overall my experience was just very lackluster, a disappointing first Bob’s Big Boy experience on my end. When me and the other two I had dinner with left, one commented, «I’d forgotten that their food isn’t great, I don’t think I’ll eat there again.» Perhaps their dessert is a bit better, not sure I’ll be back any time soon to try it however.

The food here is terrible! This place is such an iconic restaurant. Why can’t you serve good food? Hopefully the management will get the message!!!

The Service here is the worst!!! This place is an insult to the Bob’s establishment. As soon you walk in the ambience was so dead and slow from the host chit chatting with a client ignoring us for about 5 minutes to the waiters that never came to our table after sitting more than ten minutes not even a greet or start us off with a drink. We obviously got up and walked away from this poor excuse of a restaurant to drive to the Burbank Bob’s Big Boy where we always get service with a smile and get amazing food! Enter at your own risk.

The nicest staff of all time! Not sure why the place has such bad reviews. Maybe it’s not the original in Burbank, but it’s still quite good.

This place is so gross!!!
Ordered the famous super boy what a mistake. Meat way over cooked, mayo was put in by the spoonful! Luke warm frys.
Then when we left the cashier asked how was the meal, i honestly told him GROSS he had the nerves to offer a free pie on our next visit… umm really there will not be another!
I did give it a 1 since the place was empty so service was fast… Shameful would hate to taste the food when they are busy…
I say go to in and out right down the street

Good food, good people.
The food isn’t some fancy 5 star restaurant. It’s a diner type of food. Coming in you always get greeted by someone at the front desk. Asking you for breakfast or lunch? When I come here I always go for lunch (im not a breakfasts fan) the waiters are really nice and welcoming.
I always order the turkey burger (would recommend if you’re on a health diet.)comes with a salad and fries. The fries are just addicting! I don’t know why, but I’m obsessed with their fries. The burger is well made with a wheat bun, white cheese, red onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. Really healthy burger.
I’m giving them 5 stars because they deserve it. The food is always good, never disappointed. The service is A+ and it’s cheap. Why would I complain?

Poor service. They can’t get a simple order right. No relish. I said it two times to make sure she got it. Burger comes out with what looked like extra relish. Unbelievable.
Food is ok other than that.

What could I say, its Bobs, its just good fast food.

My husband was feeling this today. We have not ate at one of these establishments in YEARS, so we tried it out. I ordered the chicken and waffles, it was good, the chicken was a little pink, but tasty, no complaints from me. My daughter ordered a burger and fries, she felt like it was the best in the world… Lol.
My husband ordered breakfast where he requested his steak to be cooked medium. Well he received it Well done, I believe he received one that was sitting for a while and they thought they could get one over on him. NOT, the manager came over listened to his compliant and brought him out another one which was pretty raw… We left well enough alone. I guess 2 of us out of 3 being happy was not too bad.
We will go back, but we’ll stay away from the steaks. It’s just that simple.
Customer service was great. They were very attentive which I like!

Came in with a party of 16. We are waiting in the waiting area even though are table is ready because they don’t want to over load the kitchen. We asked if we can sit at the table and get drinks and the manager was not having it. Not the way I wanted to spend my Father’s Day .
However, Amanda the waitress was perfect. Very attentive super nice.

Food was good. Burgers came fast and the food was delicious! I grew up eating at Bobs big boy and it still doesn’t disappoint.

The waiter gave me a weird glare as he diverted his attention from me. I saw it!
I couldn’t eat bread by doctor’s orders. So I had to be picky. Please sir, no bread on my hamburger — do u have anything besides french fries (darn delicious starchy carb)? That sort of thing.
But all in he was nice. It was getting packed from the Fling — so we bailed to hang by our car.

The food is good. I really enjoy their breakfasts and Burgers. My kids love the teddy bear waffles. This place is clean and cozy. The service is great. The servers are always so polite and sweet. They operate like a mom & pops but still serve that Classic Bob’s taste that I remember from childhood. Love their seasoning salt! But you have to ask for it. I have heard great things about their pies and desserts but I never have enough room. I really hope this place stays around. Love it

Bloody fried chicken… yuck. Complained to the Manager who said they cook it twice. Maybe they need to turn up the heat on the fryer. Plus the chicken had no seasoning… not coming here again. In all fairness the Manager did not charge us for the chicken dinner which made me happy.

We went in Friday night starving and wanting to eat before the car show started and this girl with a lite blue shirt just stood there at the podium and thumbed through a stack of menus totally ignoring us for 5 full minutes. We noticed a lot of clean, open booths but this girl just let us and a bunch of customers stack up waiting for her to finish playing with the menus taking a few moments out to chat with other employees. I spoke out loud saying the treatment was rude and she just kept thumbing through those menus like she was looking for money or something.
We walked and so did a few other groups and as we left we voiced our discussed and she just continued to ignore us.
I called back and ask for the manager and what sounded like a young man answered and said he’s the manager Sergio. I told him what happened and he faked like he couldn’t hear me and I finally got the word across that I was going to Unilocal this incident he didn’t seem all that concerned. He should learn how to apologize or get some training. I told him to look for this review and man up as a manager and fix this action before he runs the business into the ground.
Since I was a little kid I have eaten at many Bob’s Big Boy locations but noticed the service at this location on behalf of some of the greeters and cashiers has been slipping but it’s pitiful at this point.

I guess it may have been because of change in management… but the breakfast buffet isn’t here at this location anymore. (sad face). Also, it took long for a waiter/​waitress to help us, getting the initial drink order and getting our order in. My wife ordered Waffles w/​strawberry topping, and we weren’t able to get strawberries — the waitress said they’re frozen. Their pancakes were pretty ginormous… a little too chewy. I love Big Boy, but the day we went wasn’t the best.

Its been a while since I’d visited a Bob’s Big Boy. I greeted right away. The Hostess was sincere.
I ordered the classic Big Boy combo classic that comes with fries and or a salad. I like the fact that Bob’s Big Boy’s meat is never frozen. Just like In-​n-​out and Wendy’s. So your’re not going to get that freezer burn taste. A plus.
I have to say I was very impressed on how all the employees worked together as I. Too different servers came to me during my visit and even the hostess came over and got me a refill Great Job.
This location does a lot for the community. On December 9 there doing a Toys for Tots drive for the Kids and every Friday night there’s a car show here in the parking lot.
On your birthday they gave you a Free Hot Fudge Sunday. Must show proof.
