Seated right away when we got there on a Friday evening, surprising, they also take reservations oh my, not too many places do that anymore. The food was excellent from the bread and appetizer right down to the dessert. Our waiter Logan W. was the best, I will always ask for him whenever I go there. Drinks were refilled before we even had a chance to ask and he always came back to see if we needed anything! Love it! My new go to place.

It’s tucked away in a corner but still visible from the courtyard. Decent selection of dishes which I believe are well prepared from experience. The portions are not humongous. So if you’re looking to get really stuffed, may need to rethink it.

Finally got to try this restaurant. We didn’t have to wait at all to be seated. The margaritas were really yummy! I was disappointed because I wanted crab legs. This seafood restaurant doesn’t serve crab legs. Anyway, had the tilapia with sweet potato mash and asparagus. It was ok, pretty bland lunch. I’d like to give it another try and order something else. Maybe some shrimp and crab cakes.

We visited the restaurant with a large group. It took a while to get our cocktails on each round. We got served water but never any refills, no one asked either. The Ocean Tropic Heat Martini is delicious if you like a little spice! My friends enjoyed the grapefruit Martini for you grapefruit lovers. The group tried several appetizers below: The most popular on all reviews is the Bang Bang shrimp which was good spiced but not hot! Not sure this is the best appetizer here? Grilled artichoke is good. Ahi Tuna sashimi was great! A must have for sure! Saucy shrimp not one of my favorites! Would skip! Calamari was good and we enjoyed the sauce Dinner I had a wedge salad which was good even though the whole table was served and they forgot mine! I had the orange rough topped with crab and a lemon sauce delicious. The fish is fresh and cooked nicely here. My sides came not as selected. The mashed potatoes here a dense, green beans are good, but skip the scalloped potatoes. My friends enjoyed the grilled tacos and the Bang Bang tacos. The Mahi Mahi is very good. Desserts we loved Doughnuts and Jamaican coconut pie! You must have these so good! We had a few others too but not impressive selections! The crème Brule is served in a very deep dish which is not how it’s normally prepared. The service needs some work here, management is attentive but they have somethings to work out!

Liked ahi tuna appetizer. It looked pretty and tasty. I also liked kobe beef hamburger. The beef part was excellent! Bang bang taco was ok. Cute donuts were also ok. Overall it was a good lunch with friendly service. Actually I expected I could get Tuesday special which I caught my eyes from the internet. Friendly waiter told me Tuesday thing is only for dinner. Wow. I didn’t see that part… Anyway we had a good time here.

We dined at BoneFIish again — for a saturday the place was NOTBUSY at all? This was seriously surprising as they were quite busy on all the other occasions when we visited. Even so — up front I will offer that our visit was quite satisfying — however a bit pricey for what we might otherwise expect. That may seem odd — but it applies. Service was attentive and within reason if not slightly more then we expected. Portion sizes as seen in our images were reasonable — but not overwelming. The crab corn soup was nice looking in size but shallow in depth. I don’t blame them as a few 2nd portions must get sold this way — as the soup was TODIEFOR. So — I can submit it remains a 4 star recommendation due to the relatively high standards of service — ambiance(better with few patrons dining /however few patrons threatens to CLOSE them down! No establishment can survive many saturdays with so few dining there!) … thus with good portions and just slightly higher then usual prices we will go back again. Just not every week if ya kno what I mean? As an after thought they had a special good on Wednesdays where you can get a 3 course meal with 3 entrée options for $ 14.90 or 17.90 or 20.90. Add their Bang Bang Shrimp for just $ 6 and you have a 4 course meal! So — we were talking about returning to try out this deal soon — as this represents a superior deal!

I Made reservations for 7:25 for a party of 15, I was there at 7:25 the table wasn’t ready. That is understandable they were busy, as I waited I didn’t see them doing anything. I waited until 8:05 still nothing WOWREALLY? Then we just left unbelievable I’m calling corporate to let them know how terrible this location is doing. CAUTIONSTAYAWAY CAUTIONSTAYAWAY!!!

We visited with a Party of three people at about 9:30PM on Friday 11/20/2015. This was my second time at Bonefish Grill and my first time at this location. Upon arrival, I would say the restaurant was only at about 25% capacity; however, I noticed that most tables were not made up and were not bussed. We did have a friendly server this evening by the name of Kyle. He was cordial, friendly, efficient and hopeful. We had the Bang Bang Shrimp. We also shared the cerviche, one of the salads and the stuffed Tilapia. We also shared the Macadamia Nut Brownie for dessert. We would say that our food was excellent. The one disappointing thing of the night, is that it took 25 minutes for bread to arrive. Our server kept telling us that bread was coming; however, they had to bake bread and did not have enough ready. Therefore, we got our entrees before our bread, which was off par. At least the food was good!

Mediocre as best! I ordered a house ‘special’, Oscar Mahi Mahi. It was totally tasteless. My daughter had the Lolly Lamb Chops which she didn’t eat due to them being tough and also bland. Crab cakes were good and corn chowder with lumps of crab was good but miniscule. All in all, it was a dinner to forget. Although convenient, we won’t be back soon.

I rarely take the time out and leave a review but tonight I was highly disappointed in my dinner. I had the Lobster Roll with fries and the only pleasing part of the meal was the toasted roll… The lobster mixture on the inside was god awful and it didn’t seem fresh at all… My friend ordered the Filet Mignon with sides the overall portion for the meal was very sad… It looked smaller than a kids plate and she’s 90% sure the steak wasn’t Filet Mignon. Our waitress could have made the entire experience a bit more worthy if she was brave enough to asks ‘how we were enjoying our meal’ because we left most of our food on our plates… Bonefish is or was my fave place but I doubt I’ll be coming back for a while based on this experience.

I got a gift certificate here from the restaurant because I wasn’t able to get into a Unilocal Elite event that was held here a few months ago. However, I never got the chance to come check it out until today, when my friend and I decided to come here to celebrate her birthday. This place was kind of difficult for me to find. It was tucked away in the back of the Northridge Mall behind Yardhouse, and I had a bit of difficulty finding where to go to. Had to circle around the parking garage a bit before finding it. Park in the outdoor lot next to the movie theater for the quickest access. I had originally gone into the parking structure, but that’s pretty far away from this restaurant. Inside the restaurant was super nice though, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We got bread with butter and olive oil pesto while we were waiting for our food. At first, I had only dipped my bread into the oil part and didn’t get much taste, but if you dug deep into the bottom and got all the green bits, that’s where all the flavor was. My friend and I ordered off the special menu and got the really nice dinners. I went for Fresh Day Boat Scallops on a bed of creamy corn risotto topped with crispy bacon, lemon butter drizzle for $ 25.90. My friend got the Misoyaki Chilean Sea Bass grilled over oak, then topped with misoyaki marinade, pickled ginger relish, on a bed of sauteed spinach, mushrooms, jasmine rice for $ 27.40. Even though she ordered the small portion, she couldn’t finish her plate. I tasted some of her food, and the fish was buttery and tender. Quite awesome. I liked my scallops and the risotto was al dente, but I felt that my dish was a bit heavier than my friend’s dish. Still tasty though. Only bad thing was that the bathroom was kind of disgusting. The floors were sticky, and only one of the three stalls in the women’s restroom could be used. All-in-all, a lovely restaurant, although a bit pricey. But the portions are generous and the ambiance and service is excellent. I’m glad that I got a gift certificate to come check this place out, because I probably never would have come otherwise.

The ceviche is different now. Not as much fish or seafood in general. Maybe they cut back to lower the food cost(and price too hopefully). It was noticeably constructed differently than before, more of a mashed up watered down ceviche =/Bang bang shrimp still bangin’ tho

Love this place, nice ambiance and excellent service. The food is excellent. This is a great place for any celebration. They have great cocktails I was told, too bad I don’t drink. Doing my toast with lemonade.

3 – 3.5 stars Although I was initially impressed by the service, décor, and ambience, the food was a bit of a disappointment. We ordered the eggs Benedict and bang bang shrimp tacos. The hollandaise sauce for the eggs Benedict was extremely salty and too heavy, and the egg was overcooked. The shrimp tacos were good but not great. Not sure if I’ll be back…

First time at this place. I liked that they said the fish are fresh daily & our waitress was nice, but the food was just ehhh. Nothing that would make me run back. But I’d pass on the place just from my experience in the last 10 mins… They had a buy $ 50GC get $ 10 bonus card sign outside by the doors. So my daughter asked the hostess if we could buy it and use it the same day, to which she said yes. My daughter bought it thinking what a deal. Until we use it to pay the bill & the manager says the card isn’t even activated until 24hrs later… NOT ever was that even mentioned by the hostess. I just told the manager to return the GC since that was the whole point of asking in the first place. He just looked at me with a dirty/disgusted look and said he needed to figure it out. Listen, I’m giving you your $ 10 bonus card back & just want the original $ 50 towards the bill! It’s not like I said I don’t want to pay. So save the attitude & figure out the rules to train your people on them correctly.

Our meal at Bonefish Grill started off with such promise and quickly settled firmly into mediocrity. The menu seems downright small when compared to it’s neighbor, the Yardhouse and those of a similar vein. It was a week night and it was sparsely populated with diners and we were seated right away. BTW, The impetus to try Bonefish came courtesy of a gift card and I had been sitting on it for some time. One of their starters, this mussel dish was reason for encouragement. The mussels were well prepared, sweet, tender and not cooked just right. Only issue was the broth was a tad salty and more of it would have been nice. A couple of bites did have a touch of sand, better prep usually eliminates this problem. Overall my favorite of the evening. No photo but the seasonal Lobster bisque was a very nice mixture of smooth, creamy and with some satisfying chunks of lobbie. As for the entrée’s The Kobe beef burger was out-shined by the accompanying thick cut kettle style chips. Unfortunately the burger itself was just over cooked and try. The fixings did little to enhance the overall appeal of the burger. The brioche bun seemed a tad stale too. Not something I would order again. The Chilean Sea Bass didn’t have the usual requisite silky texture that makes a dish like this so pleasurable. The fish was a bit overcooked and the filet seemed a bit long in the tooth, not as fresh as one would expect. The potatoes au gratin were unrecognizable and served with an ice cream scoop, inedible. The service was just find, no objections there, it’s just that overall Bonefish is not crave worthy in the least. I can’t put my finger on it but it seems this place should be so much better, especially in light of their seemingly manageable menu. Some signature items done well and done consistently, easier said then done I guess especially when you are dealing with seafood. Sorry Bonefish

When I lived in NJ, I loved going to the Bonefish Grill in Secaucus. When I moved to LA, I wondered why on of my favorite chain restaurants were nowhere to be seen. After doing some research, I was disappointed to find out that Bonefish was not in California. Jump to nearly a month ago when Unilocal LA posted a Unilocal Elite event to be held — yep — Bonefish Grill. SAYWHAT? Bonefish Grill is here in LA? I had no idea! I needed to get into this event and see if Bonefish was as great as I remembered. Since the event, we have been back twice, so you can imagine it was a hit. Let me not forget to mention that I live in South Bay and this restaurant is in Northridge… a trek and a half, but we will definitely continue to make the trek because I love it here so much. There is so much to like about this place. The bar has a lounge-y feel. Dim lighting, cool décor, hip music. The dining room is a great place for an intimate dinner or a group outing for a celebration. The servers here are ALL super friendly and accommodating. I was greeted by any server who I crossed paths with at any point in the evening. Welcoming. Now on to the good stuff: The food. I was happy to see that my ol’ time favorite, The Tilapia Imperial was still on the menu. This dish is so freaking tasty and I highly recommend. The tilapia is great, but this dish is several steps above your typical fish dish. The tilapia is stuffed with crustacean goodness and topped with a creamy sauce that is absolutely delicious. A must try. Seriously. I most recently tried their Lobster grilled cheese because Grilled Cheese is my second favorite food in this world and it was like Bonefish made this menu item especially for me. It totally lived up to my expectations. The grilled cheese comes with a side of lobster bisque which, in my opinion, was just okay… but I’m not a big bisque fan anyway. Plus, the appeal of this dish for me really was the sandwich. I know, you’re probably thinking, «grilled cheese at a fish restaurant?» Don’t knock it ’til you tried it. This place has something for everyone, really. Don’t dig on the seafood? There’s steak and pork chops. There’s some pretty great starters as well. Appetizers vary from what you would typically find at a seafood restaurant to some more traditional appies with a new seafood spin(like flatbreads and tacos). Everyone raves about the bang bang shrimp and that’s because the Bang Bang Shrimp is BANGIN’. Another shoo-in. Trust me, we all can’t be wrong. Their new bar bites menu also has some really delicious items that makes Bonefish a great option for happy hour. All in all, this place definitely lived up to the fond memories I had of my visits in NJ. Thank you, Bonefish, for finally making your way to Sunny SoCal. You’ve got a friend in me.

This is a great place for an awesome meal. They have a variety of great hand held bites and appetizers such as the ahi tuna street tacos to the crab crusted orange roughy! The main course of their stuffed tilapia is mouth watering as well as their pork chop. To wash down these fine courses, their bloody Mary with blue cheese stuffed olives will do the trick. Service was great as Ashley made sure our needs were met. Parking is in the mall parking lot.

My first time here was for a Unilocal event, where I got to try their new bar bites menu. Most of the items were good, but they were on the salty side. However, the drinks I had were delicious. The Espresso Martini and The Mule were my favorite. However, this review is for my second visit here when I had dinner with my cousin. I came here on a Tuesday night around 8pm and the restaurant was empty. I guess my making a reservation was not needed. Our waiter brought us bread and olive oil with pesto to dip the bread in. Delicious. I ordered the Mule to start and my cousin had the Blackberry Sangria. Both were tasty, but the Mule wasn’t as good as last time. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp, as an appetizer. The Bang Bang Shrimp reminded me of honey walnut shrimp, except with a spicy mayo sauce instead. It was good, but would have been better with rice or more lettuce underneath. For my entrée, I had the Tilapia Imperial w/the side for the day(couscous) and upgraded for their White Truffle Mac and Cheese(+$ 5). The tilapia was flaky, but a little dry. The stuffing of crab, scallops, and shrimp was creamy and way too salty. The truffle mac and cheese had little to no truffle flavor and had more mushroom than cheese. Personally, I don’t mind a little mushroom, but based on the amount that was in the mac and cheese, Bonefish should rename the dish Mushroom Mac and Cheese. Anyways, I wasn’t happy with my entrée, but the bar bites, appetizer, and drinks makes this restaurant a solid 3 stars. However, I do think that they need to cut back on the amount of salt they cook with.

Our experience at Bonefish was a pretty good one. We went a few hours after lunch so the place wasn’t busy at all. Our waitress was great. She shared a little bit of history with us about the restaurant and recommended a few entrees that she personally liked. She was funny and very friendly the whole time we were there so that definitely always helps, especially if the food is good. This restaurant is very nice! It has a modern touch with certain booths in the corner that have a nice romantic touch to it. The bar has flat screen tv’s and a huge selection of cocktails. My Fiancé decided to go with the blackberry sangria, fish tacos and wedge salad. I ordered the swordfish with pumpkin ravioli special. Everything was on point except the swordfish was a little dry. Other than that, we already agreed that we would be back for the lobster sliders on Tuesday. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros
