Beef brisket, pulled pork was great but the Mac n Cheese, Bbq beans, coleslaw and the baked potato casserole was amazing! Everyone was very friendly and kids eat free on Sunday.

I like the food here, they are my to go place for weekends when folks show up. Everything they have is excellent, had their entire menu a few times over. The loaded baked potato is enough for two!

Customer service was on point! But the food was just okay, after a co worker raving about this place i had to give it a try… And honesty i would not go back. Its over priced for bland quality food. My 4 star is strictly based off the excellent people they have working there.

I always see the sign and finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the 3 meat plate(ribs, chicken, sausage), green beans, jalepeno beans and okra. I wanted to try a little of everything. Wow, where is the food?!! I got one 3inch rib and one 2inch rib, 6 slices of chicken ranging from the size of a quarter to the size of a silver dollar. The sausage was about ¾ length of a standard hotdog thinly sliced. Ribs had good flavor but were mushy/soggy, chicken tasted great!, sausage and okra was very salty. Grean beans were really soggy and the jalepeno beans were very salty. For the portion size this place is way over priced! Id rather order from the«rib shack» place. Their portions are bigger and its not as salty. I grew up on southern food and realize these types of places are not authentic southern food. Unfortunately I wont visit this place again due to the price, small portions and the salt.

Still as good as the first time … Consistent fast bbq for a reasonable price and convenient location can’t be beat

Incredible barbecue. I usually order the pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad and barbecue beans. Their home made sauce is to die for! Smokey and sweet and absolutely brimming with flavor. This is my one stop shop for barbecue in Los Angeles! They have ribs, brisket and chicken as well! There is not a single item on the menu that I wouldn’t find utterly mouth-watering! Thanks for yet another yummy lunch!

Delicious food. Great customer service. The staff was very patient and kind while we placed our orders, even checked up to see how we were doing. We weren’t planning on dining there but the ambiance was too nice not too. Super clean restaurant with a home feel to it. I had the westerner with brisket, baked potato casserole, and green beans with bacon. My bf had the 3 meat plate with Mac and cheese and potato salad. We got so full the food was mouthwatering and hit the spot. I got my BBQ craving for another month or so then I will return :)

WAY Overpriced for the food. Employees will not allow an adult to order a Kids plate to take home to your child unless the child is with you. That’s just bad business. Thumbs down for this establishment. 11÷11÷15 — Thanks for the managements response but There is nothing you could say or offer me that would entice me to return to ANY Dickey’s BBQ.

So I’d seen this store and we always like to try new BBQ. I don’t like any here in the SFV even though my mom likes Dr Hogly Woglys. Well we tried the one in Woodland Hills and my mother inlaw and wife liked it. they likeed the sauce and felt the mesat was tender and juicy. My patient had a coupon for sandwiches but didn’t want it so they gave it to me. I was right up the street so I picked up some sanwiches. They were tasty. The bread tasted fresh and the meat was good. Probably will go back. Though my favorite BBQ is still outside the SFV.

Overpriced and overrated! Seen the billboards, heard the talk, but what a disappointment this place turned out to be. When I eat a rib, I want to pull the meat from the bone. This was like eating mashed potatoes on a bone. Mushy texture and not much flavor. Want spicy sauce? I tried the hot and spicy sauce, but I have had more spice in a shrimp cocktail. They do have good little sides dishes and a free ice cream cone machine, so i gave this place an extra star for that. Not someplace I would visit to try the other meats for the prices they charge.

Can’t comment on the physical location because I had my «peeps«bring me takeout. It looked yummy. A 2-meat combo with brisket and ribs. Beans and coleslaw on the side. Roll too. Oh, and both regular and spicey sauce. Ribs were moist and tender and smokey tasting. Very enjoyable. Just enough fat to enjoy too! Brisket was«meh». It was bland and mushy but did a good job at transporting sauce to the mouth. Beans and coleslaw were nothing special but decently enjoyable. Roll was okay too. I had to chuckle at the onion and pickle– two little pieces of each. It’s almost a «why bother» situation but I enjoyed those small morsels. Will I return? Sure. Will I rush back? Probably not. BTW, my peeps had good things to say about the staff. I heard that they were nice and willing to chat about options etc.

This was my second visit to Dickey’s BBQ Pit. Not what I remember when I first visited opening week. Meats were generally dry and had too much of a dry smoky flavor to the point that some of it left a chemical aftertaste in my mouth. Not sure if everything here is made from scratch but some of the sides seemed like they came out of a can. The place was also pretty filthy and sticky. I really wanted to enjoy this place.

I have been told about so many rib joints. But Dickey’s has the best falls off the bone pork ribs!!! I can’t begin to explain to how delicious it all was! The barbecue beans are awesome but the Jalapeño beans, yes… Jalapeño beans. Those won me over you get two sides with any meat plate, I recommend the either of the beans. Their turkey was savory and not dry, which I liked a lot personally. The barbecue honey ham was also very satisfying. I will be definitely returning very soon! I’m not one to be picky about little things but I haven’t been offered a sample of anything when I’m indecisive(which happens to us all) and they gladly asked«you haven’t tried the jalapeño beans?» And handed me a sample. I was hooked. Oh the little bread rolls are amazing too!!! I wanted more than one but enjoyed the one I had, it was more than enough for me!

Loved it! Workers were nice, restaurant was clean, food was delicious and service was prompt. Had the ribs plate with mac & cheese & waffle fries for my side. Tried some of my brother’s fried onion tanglers and I actually would get that instead of the fries next time. The free soft serve is a nice touch, too bad it was too soft and melted. Zzzzz’omg food coma.

The SCV attitude of a restaurant specializing in really good but limited BBQ that may run out, «MUST have what I want when I walk in,» HAS got to STOP. This place is awesome and giving them this attitude on their third day of operation is annoying and not representative of the SCV valley. So sorry these owners have to put up with it. That being said… WARNING. They run out of the good stuff at the end of a very busy night. Get here early in the evening. They will get their qualities right, but for now, they just opened, of course they can’t properly estimate!!! Get a grip. They have plenty of seating, outside and in. Two big TVs strategically placed so everyone can see. Place is always clean! In fact I think the woman is OCD. I believe she is a teacher too. Just a side job. The guy is awesome, a little quite and shy, but willing to do anything you need. Great place to hang out with friends and family. Good for going to after the movies or even before. It’s a little on the pricy side. $ 10 a plate

If you want heartburn and next day diarrhea this is your place! The side dishes are cold, greasy and tasteless. My salad while it looks gorgeous is all fluff. The French fried onions literally exploded with oil in my mouth. Free ice cream is such a cute idea but the machine needs service badly. Its sending out crystallized«ice cream» that tastes terrible. I would come back for the ribs but nothing else. ***************************** Todd reached out to me and offered a complimentary meal which adds a star for service. But the food remains overly greasy, not that tasty and served cold. The ice cream machine still does not work. We won’t be back.

(Tookout 11÷05÷14 W @ 2:30pm): They weren’t dicking you around when it came to their meats! Thanks to a Living Social offer that was about to expire($ 24.00 worth of food/drinks for $ 12.00), I trekked out to where my alma mater was — kind of out of my way these days — to finally try Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, a small local chain to get my «ribbin’ on»! I loved me some ribs and I was certainly going to have more than«just one rib!»: Half Rack Ribs($ 15.95) — Ten luscious-tasting long St. Louis-style pork ribs that totally fell off the bone! I easily used my fork to shred each bone of its meat, cut it into pieces and either dunked it into the supplied sweet BBQ sauce for the baked potato or ate it as is. The ribs were lightly lathered in sauce which I preferred. There was the right amount of fat to add to the flavor as each piece melted in my mouth. Great Stuffed Baker($ 6.95) — Aside from the size of this spud(it was nearly Chernobyl size!), the range and amount of toppings was rather meek. From what I could tell, it was missing bacon bits(this REALLY chapped my hide!) and ranch dressing(I honestly didn’t mind this omission), and massively lacked green onions. On the positive, the actual potato was really soft, buttery-soaked and remained hot while the rest of the toppings got cool around it. When I said I wanted the works, I meant it! Mac & Cheese with Beef Brisket($ 6.00) — I opted«with meat» because it sounded cool, but sadly it wasn’t what I expected. Given your choice of meat, I thought it would be mixed in with the mac & cheese; rather, it was placed on top as if it were a parfait at McDonald’s. So, when I got home I tried to mixed them together but that was a total fail. Separately, the mac & cheese was nothing special as the cheese sauce was creamy but tasted like it came from a box while the pasta was nicely cooked. You got a decent serving size. Now, the beef brisket was really tasty and I ended-up eating what I had left on its own and even added some on the baked potato. Side of Sweet BBQ Sauce(comp) — To be used with the baked potato(and I did!), this was a subtle sweet sauce that left a nice finish after each tasting. You also received a decent amount that lasted the entire meal. Service — An older gentleman — whom I figured was the manager — kindly greeted and gave me the rundown when I mentioned the Living Social deal. I was the only person in line so he allowed me to take my time as I scanned the menu above in front of me . Once I was ready, the ordering was straightforward. A cute young woman then helped with my baked potato(see comments above on this), and finally I dealt with a young man at the register. Before I had a chance to get comfortable, my food was all packaged-up and ready to go; damn! All was pretty easy-peasy. Parking(free) — There were plenty of free parking spaces in the back as well as along the main drag of Reseda Blvd. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — My first impression was a former pizza parlor with the checkered floor, walls completely covered from ceiling to floor with all sorts of memorabilia and posters and a quasi-rustic feel(i.e. Shakey’s) . There were plenty of wooden tables and chairs throughout this long floorplan. There was plenty of electric lighting while the natural lighting that came through the windows in the front and back only caught those areas. I saw one TV when I entered , and I believed I noticed some background music. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was good but not great. I thought the meat was mouth-watering and would come back for that. However, I was really disappointed in the simple items that fell flat in my opinion. I felt these can easily be worked on. Also, no alcohol. The prices were on par with other BBQs in the area and the service I received was very good. I may venture to the Pasadena location since it’s closer to me. I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(total paid experience was around $ 31.50 before discount and tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 3.5STARS

I’ve had much better«BBQ» at a chain restaurant. This place was disorganized and just not good. Actually, the best thing I ate was the bread. I ordered turkey, but I think I got chicken. It was really pink too. My spouse had brisket and Polish sausage.. Yeah, she is from Milwaukee and Polish and she said it wasn’t real polish sausage. We had Mac N Cheese(tasted like frozen stouffers), baked potato casserole(not good), beans(bland) and Onion straws(those were the best side out of all of them). Oh and there is a reason why they give you free«ice cream». Its because its HORRIBLE. I doubt its even real dairy. We were just not that impressed.
