I went to see if I can get a last minute haircut. They were booked which I understand. The front desk is very nice and she offered maybe book another day. What turns me off is when I asked how much it will be to cut my bob hairstyle couple inch shorter, the price I got is $ 85.
I have been to many hair salons, mostly in NYC. Their price range is high, normally I would spent $ 100-​$ 200 for haircut but never any place charges $ 85 for a couple inches cut (most place is around $ 35). I am not asking for hair color, perm, style change nor cut 30 inches. A 2 – 3 inches haircut is priced $ 85? This is a joke.

This is, without a doubt, the single best salon/​barber shop in Fairfield County. Each stylist takes great care to ensure their clients receive the best haircut, shave, or style possible. The salon is well appointed and clean, the service is impeccable, and the work they do is beyond compare.
Having moved from New York City, I was looking for a salon in the area with the standards and quality I’d grown accustomed to. Not only did G.A.S. surpass those levels, they did so at half the price. I truly cannot recommend this salon enough. You will not be disappointed.

Gabriel is also a master of his craft. When I first visited Gabby, my normal hairdresser (my sister who happens to now work there) was sick but I had no worries visiting because I knew he is great at what he does. The haircut was flawless and the customer service impeccable.
Over the past year he’s added more hair stylists to cater to both men and women (Kara, Rick & Sam). They are top notch and you can’t go wrong.
Also very important is how clean his establishment is. It’s comforting to see how meticulously clean each station is as well as the front of the salon.
Bottom line, he takes pride in what he does. Highly recommend going here.

You don’t buy a Tesla because you want to «go green,» so you don’t go to GAS because you want a haircut.
I came to GAS because I was tired of having a different «stylist» cut my hair and shave my face every three weeks. I did some background research, read some Unilocal reviews and made my way to GAS. I am thankful to have done so.
GAS is not so much as a salon as it is a testament to one man’s belief in the importance of proper grooming. The salon is immaculately clean, beautifully designed and completely functional. Gabriel opened early for me on a Sunday morning, to accommodate my schedule and it was the best haircut and shave I have had in three years.
Gabriel took time to discuss what I was looking for in a haircut and how he could improve upon my stated desires. He took his time, stopping along the way, to make sure I liked the direction the haircut was going and that all aspects (sideburns, length, thickness, etc.) were more than satisfactory.
Upon finishing the haircut, Gabriel gave me a shave that I will not soon forget. It was an incredible mixture of balms, menthols, towels and rubs that set me so at ease that I think I dozed off in the chair. I awoke to the closest, cleanest shave I have ever had. Quite simply, it was beyond my expectations.
As my son and I left (at 9am on a Sunday), another Dad was coming in for a haircut and shave with his two kids in tow. This is a testament to how Gabriel runs his business. The client comes first. Satisfaction is paramount. Enjoyment is the bonus.

Hands down best hair salon in the area! Everyone is beyond professional, talented & knowledgable! Kara is amazing & always make you feel like your absolute best! I have been almost every hair color & style…& each time is better than the last! GAS is the place to go if you are looking for the complete experience! You will not be disappointed!

I went here for the first time today. I will never go anywhere else while I’m in Norwalk. If you’ve tried the other places in town and were left wanting, try GAS. This is the highest end barber shop I’ve ever been in. Attention to detail is the rule and not the exception for Mr. Acosta. I’ve lived in Norwalk for over a year now and have been dissatisfied with a lot of the other places so finding this spot on Westport Ave. was absolutely great. Make an appointment because he’s pretty booked up. Gabriel is an extremely nice guy, a true professional, and takes pride in his work. Received the best hair cut I’ve ever had there, followed by a beard trim, eyebrow trim, and hot towel. He used about four different products on my face, which felt incredible by the time I left. The chairs, like everything else in there, are top of the line, comfortable, heavy duty «man» chairs. Atmosphere is great and I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and try it.
