Shocked I’ve never written a review for this gem. I have been coming here for what seems like FOREVER! this place is amazing and the prices are great. The owner is fantastic and friendly, always has a smile and make conversation. When they finally added the AYCE menu, I pretty much went overboard haha. Sucks that I no longer live in the area, I’d be here so dang much. Thankfully, I visit often and when I do, we stop here!

The owner is a the server, cook, bus boy and does everything. Quality of food: not great. Rolls are covered on sauce to mask the rubbery fish and btw, parts of the fish were frozen-WTF… The sushi was horrible and tasteless and once again parts of the fish were frozen. I DONOTUNDERSTANDTHEHIGHSTARS. REALLY??? FORWHAT, tasteless and semi frozen fish? Or is it because the food is low budget.? These food belongs at the bottom of a land field not for human consumption. WISH I CANGIVEZEROSTARS. Will never come back

I am a very simple person and order just simple thought I couldn’t go wrong with a teriyaki bowl. The chicken was not fresh it smelled and tasted like plastic. They charged me $ 1 for avocado which was ok with me if it was fresh and not black. Not going back, not worth getting sick!

The best sushi ive had by far. The food is well worth the wait. I will recommend to my family with the exception of my mother in law.

Really disappointed, owner is very attentive, but rolls ar ok, not great, feel like it needs to be more fresh, the price for all you can eat is good, only $ 16.99 but the choices are so limited and rolls are pretty much same from one to another, have to say the OZEN sushi is 100x way better … Btw this guy self includes his tip of 15%, so that’s a little aggravating since service was not 100% of the best

I also wanted to give this place a chance. Not once, twice, but I patronized this establishment three times. The food was not the freshest. I do commend the owner/manager. A Korean gentleman. he was kind and provided good customer service. I can stomach some pretty dated food but not at the prices they are asking for. Reasonably priced food should be reasonably fresh for a restaurant. I gave this place 3 stars more for the service than the food. I will not be returning unless I am starving or suffer from amnesia.

I want to like this place because the owner is such a nice guy, but unfortunately the sushi rolls here are just not up to par.

I’ve been here two or three times but after today I won’t be returning. This is the first time not satisfied with our food. We ordered three rolls and after a bite of each roll we could taste it wasn’t fresh tuna. The shrimp in the crunch roll did not taste fresh or good at that point. We did advice the owner that the shrimp could be bad but of course he denied, he just cooked it. My Mexican roll was disguised by a Mexican salsa to disguise the flavor of the roll. The roll did not look like the picture. My husband almost threw up when he ate his only piece of sushi. The quality of the sushi is terrible and they need to stop disguising there food with salsa so you can’t taste the freshness of the fish & shrimp.

We had a Dragon Crunch role, Washington role, Spicy Tuna roll and Chicken Teriyaki. They tasted excellent. Owner was very friendly and polite. We’ll definitely come back again!

This place made me so so so so happy! I went to the shopping center where this restaurant is located and decided to just stop by and see what they have. They have the menu taped to the restaurant and i instantly saw what i wanted! I ordered a special(to-go)where you get miso soup, teriyaki chicken and rice, gyoza, AND4 pieces of california roll sushi. WHATTT!!! to top it off it ended up being about $ 8.60WITHTAX! can’t beat that! the Teriyaki Chicken was so flavorful and well cooked. The owner was very nice as well! They have a lot of tasty Japanese food offerings! They have a ton of different sushi rolls and they even have all you can eat sushi for $ 16. I I will definitely be coming back!

Well, if you’re looking for trendy, authentic rolls this is not your place. But if you’re craving a quick sushi fix with some decent prices, Midori hits the spot. Another reason why I love this place is because it’s a local, family owned business with great service all the time. The owner has always been genuinely friendly and warm whenever I come in, and the rolls are pretty good for the price! I like the dragon and crunch rolls. I’m not too much of a fan of baked rolls in general, but my friends recommend the Oh Yes and the Lobster.

Haven’t been to this place for a while. The owner(!?) is very friendly and considerately. I was in there around 2pm, and it was hot. Even though there are tables for 2, but he still sat me at the bigger table because the fan would keep me cool. I ordered chicken katsu curry and a caramari roll, the curry wasn’texactly I was expecting, but it was ok. I found it a lil weir that it has corns, carrots, and green peas, definitely not the curry I was expecting. Although it wasn’t bad, and the curry sauce is a lil thin, still I think it could be improved. Overall, this is a nice place for lunch break.

Gotta say for such a small place the food is good. The service is good too. The owner everything I go seems tone happy and in a good mood which makes it pleasant to order and eat. The«OMG«literally is OMG. Overall very happy I found a good sushi place to eat/order from.

… The slowest sushi restaurant EVER. Five of us came super hungry and ordered five all you can eat. It’s been an hour since we came here and got served four rolls so far. It’s a full house one waitress, one sushi chef on a Friday night at 7pm. We’re thinking if we should go somewhere else but $ 17.99per person… We’re seriously not getting our money’s worth. So I’m updating my review a day later to add more comments. So WEENDEDUPLEAVING after being patient for an hour and a half with five hungry people. We were served a total of 4rolls and 1 plate of sushi for ALLYOUCANEAT. We paid and even left a shitty place tip and the lady comes out after us and asks if we’re done and if she can clean our table. We said yes. She goes back in and come back out while we’re getting in the car that we didn’t pay. UH… you just picked up the money from the table and cleaned it ??? Really. After we told her remember the cash on the table? And she says oh~ nvm. And walks back in… Okay I understand they were lack of employees on a Friday night could’ve been unexpectedly busier than other nights but shouldn’t she ATLEAST say sorry for the slow service and offer us a discount? We honestly didn’t even get to eat ayce $ 17.99 per person worth. It would’ve even been cheaper if we ordered a la carte! So mad. And this Unilocal review is the only way I can vent out my anger, sadly.

My wife recommended this place she’d been to with her son in the past. I was really craving something fresh, light and crunchy. This place did not disappoint! We weren’t starving but chose to get the AYCE dinner because, frankly if you order more than 2 rolls you’ve already spent $ 20 each anyway. The dinner price is $ 17.99 each and includes soup and salad. We loved the miso soup(not too salty) and the fresh cabbage salad(delicious dressing). The rolls we got: Dragon Roll — because I don’t like a lot of stuff on top of my sushi Crunchy Dragon Roll — because my wife does Caterpillar Roll — not crazy about the sweet sauce on top and eel wasn’t on each slice of sushi. Kind of hard to eat without cutting eel first. Mexican Roll — nice and spicy but didn’t look anything like it did on the picture menu(see my photos below). Looked more like a Mexican hot mess but tasted SO good. Everything was fresh tasting and the service was lovely. It did take a while for our rolls to come, but geez it’s not fast food! Our server was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. When we finished, the owner/sushi chef came to our table to personally check on us. Nice touch. Felt like they actually cared if we were satisfied. Not a fancy place at all, but it is a spotlessly clean and comfortable little sushi joint. Will definitely return.

I frequent this plaza a lot and this is the last business I had to try. Sushi joint. Normally it would be the first one I would try. But I know this is part of a chain of sushi restaurant, so I have very low expectation of the product coming out. The place is a nice sized place, seating for 30 or so. Very simple décor and looks clean. The menu is extensive, but I’d say this is more of a sushi«roll» place The owner David is very friendly Here’s the rundown: Spicy Tuna Salad — the visual of this dish wasn’t promising. It looked over dressed(and it was) but surprise surprise, it was not bad at all. The spicy tuna was topped by some masago(smelt egg). The greens were not the best but all together it was okay. Sushi Combo(8 pcs Nigiri &4 pc crunch roll) — was just okay. I got 2 pcs each of shrimp, salmon, tuna & Japanese snapper. Quality was just okay. The crunch roll wasn’t cut properly and were still stuck together. I’ve definitely had better. The combo came with a cup of miso soup. That was the saltiest miso soup I’ve ever had. No Bueno. 2 sips and it went to the trash can. They have an AYCE option as well for both lunch and dinner. But why would you, really. It looks like it’s a one man operation(the night I was there) service was extremely friendly. He does a good job, considering he’s doing it all by himself. I’ve had better sushi elsewhere for about the same price. Try them for yourself, you might have a different experience than mine. I hope. But I don’t see myself coming back though.
