I love TJ Maxx and consider myself a fashionista– have been shopping at TJ’s since they first opened. My fave

They must open one in Greenwich! I have been coming here for many years now, and luckily it is on my route from work, so I don’t need to travel too long. It is not a huge location, but they know how to include everything on their shelves with the way they organize the place. At least once a month, I stop here, and get all the things we need, usually they last for a month(Depend what I am buying). You need to dig between the staff, but if you are patient, you will find what you need, Bit for everybody, but those who like them love them!

not a huge store, but well stocked. in the parking lot with best buy, so it can get busy at time. i have the best luck going to TJ Maxx when I am not looking for anything in particular. Inventory always changing and unpredictable. Some pushy people in this store but maybe that’s just for Christmas.

Attracted by the fun of buying designer clothes at a radical discount close to home, I tried the Runway at TJ Maxx. I have spent a goodly sum there in the past. On my last visit I was bowled over by the fancy labels in this humble discount store. Helmet Lang, Tory Burch, Chloe, Armani, etc. I filled my cart and did the try on. After a while, I found that there was something Major wrong with every item. The Catherine Melandrino leather coat was hot and heavy, the Moschino shift was sewn wildly off on the left side, the gorgeous RL purple label sweater coat was clumsy, a combination of odd fabrics and a difficult color to wear! It was hard to put back at $ 800+ but $ 2,500+ retail. The longer I tried it the more awkward and uncomfortable it felt. A Tory Burch skirt was see thru, the Lang sweater was see thru, all was Past Season and the prices were not the usual low prices that make TJ fun. I bought a Missoni jersey in viscose after a long time trying it on. It was $ 200, but the ticket said $ 400 retail. On line at home, a similar jersey was $ 69 somewhere and $ 100 elsewhere. To sum up, Buyer beware. The prices are high for Past Season merchandise, every piece had a Major Flaw, poor sewing, bad color, uncomfortable, see thru, unwearable or weird in some way. Looking in my closet for other purchases from Runway, I realized I never wore 1 piece I had bought, too flimsy, bad fabric, errors, wasted $. Either the TJ people are being taken in by the big stores or they well know the flaws of these clothes and are just happy to sell big name clothes. But, items are Past Season and not up to par. All this would be OK if the prices weren’t jacked up! Way too high for the quality of each garment and the fact that this is TJMAXX, despite the fancy names. Some pieces looked really old and out of style and most sizes were 2 – 6. A bad garment is a bad garment no matter what the brand. TJ can sell whatever they like and shoppers might find great things with some effort, but the reason TJ was great was the low prices. These are bad examples of fancy brands with high, non TJ type prices. I will stick to sales at Saks. Send to a Friend Link to This Review Edit Remove

…cleanest TJ Maxx ive ever been in! Like; noticeably clean! Moms used to drag me here back in the day when the place was a dump! This store is reason enough to remain long shares of TJX! Maybe pick up some socks…

*sings* tj maxx, i looooove you… perhaps i am biased, since i have been going to this tj maxx forever, since i used to live right up the street from it… but i think their selection of stuff is much better than any of the other tj maxxes in the area. it’s also very well-organized and doesn’t like like a bomb just hit. as with any tj maxx or marshalls, it can be hit or miss in terms of finding what you want, but weekly visitors will be rewarded.
