Complete scam! They submit fraudulent claims to insurance companies — which is illegal.
When I called them to get this resolved I was given different phone numbers, transferred around. I left several messages, never got a call back. I would call whenever I got a bill in the mail for services I never received.
Today, I got a call saying that there was an important message for me on the portal from the health care team, I haven’t been there in 4 months. I called them to find out what this was about and spoke to a snarky woman named Debby. She said the important message was that the office was closed today and that when I get these messages in the future to just ignore them. I asked her to remove my email from the list, she said, «We use an automated list, we cannot control blast emails». I said, «you just have to remove my email from the computer, can you do this while I’m on the phone, please?» She said, «Um. No. I cannot. I am not near a computer.» I asked if I could speak with a manager, she said, «I am a manager» and promptly hung up on me. They use eCW to populate bills and patient portal access, so it is easy to disable an account by marking it «inactive» or by removing the email address entered. It’s easy, takes 2 seconds and a «manager» should know how to do this.
I called back and a guy answered. I asked to speak with a manager. He said, «I am the manager». I said, «the woman I just spoke with said she was the manager?» He said, «We are both managers and owners» I said, «If you’re the owner, you’ll be able to solve this for me» and explained the fraudulent billing and the spam emails. He said that the billing office is in control of everything and he couldn’t fix it; the billing flows through eCW automatically. I said that I know that is true, but the charges must be entered in eCW first, if they’re entered correctly, they will flow through correctly. Then, he said that everything had been fixed the charges had been written off, it is a small office and they are all within 10 feet of a computer so when a colleague heard him talking about this, they looked into my account and saw that everything was fixed &/​or written off. I told him that Debby told me she couldn’t fix or even look into my account because she was, «nowhere near a computer». He stammered and said, «I don’t know».
I don’t know why Debbie had to say she wasn’t near a computer if she was I suspect she just didn’t want to do any work. I also don’t know why I got such a run around if they can communicate with other departments so easily.
This guy said that all of my charges had been written off. I said I appreciated that, but wondered why no one ever called me to let me know, or sent a letter. He said he appreciated that feedback. I said, «Submitting false claims to insurance companies is illegal, you shouldn’t do that or it will really hurt your business and result in criminal investigations.» He said, «I’m aware of that».
I’m glad he’s aware of that because after Debby, the supposed owner and manager, was so rude, unprofessional & unhelpful and such an opposite response from the guy, I’m going to investigate this further with the Attorney General. I don’t want to be responsible for payment of services I never received & I don’t want my insurance billed incorrectly either. It only benefits their paychecks.
I hope this guy was right, and that everything has been written off.

I am a patient at this clinic and to date I have lost 40 lbs! I have an entire team of medical professionals supporting and helping me every step of the way. I have never been to a place where I can get medical supervision along with nutrition, behavior and fitness all at the same visit! It’s a one stop shop for weight loss! The staff is comprised of very well educated and caring professionals. They know their stuff! I have learned so much from them and continue to learn more each week. To top it all off because it’s medical it’s covered by my insurance! I pay a co-​payment at each visit and get a boat load of help. Plus everyone there from the front desk to the medical doctor is kind, courteous and caring. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is struggling to lose weight.

New to the program but so far impressed. A few years back I went to HMR and lost 60 lbs. I liked the program but it had a few problems. They always seemed to be fighting me. I had to attend a class and that class (with medical) took up too much time 4:30 to 8:00 once a week. There was no option for a Saturday. You had your choices of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Not the best for someone who is working. They «medically supervised» you but it was general and just a quick check up (BP) with blood about every 3 months. There was no RMR testing so you had to just guess (and I felt they gave the idea short shrift as if everyone had the same metabolism). I felt like the class was a chore and I got very little out of it but, on occassion, a head cold. Ewww. There was nothing organized about exercise. You were just left to do it on your own. When I gained the weight back, I couldn’t consider going back to HMR. The first time was just too hard from every aspect. But I knew I probably did really well there because they kept me accountable.
So I came here. So different. I had three initial visits (some on a Saturday). They took my RMR (it is low btw); blood tests, weighed me with a special scale that gives you more than just weight (muscle mass etc). They have four different diet options (1) optifast; (2) hybrid meal replacement and real food (like slim fast); (3) low carb; (4) low calorie. Armed with the knowledge of what I really did actually burn off in a day, I chose the low calorie. They also have a medical online portal that you can see your appointments, results, lab tests, et al. I have this on my phone as an app. I understand they will test my RMR again after starting to diet so we can see if it has gone down.
Each week I am required to come. Not for a class. But for four 15 minute visits with the team. One visit is the medical, one visit with nutrition, one visit with the exercise person, and one person with (I guess– it is therapy). 1 hour, all about me. I have long had a dream of starting my own weight loss plan because I feel like I know what is necessary and this one is as close to what I had envisioned as possible. All if this is paid for my insurance and best yet, my appointment is not fixed each week. I can come as I, and they, have time for me, including — though the dates get booked out far in advance — Saturdays.
This is how all diet programs should be.

Love these guys! They really know what they are doing! I can’t say enough about how professional and knowledge this place is! They have helped me to lose weight and recognize why I wasn’t losing before. They use science to help you recognize what is going to work best for your individual body. It’s not a guessing game. Best part is that insurance covers the visits. All you have to pay is co-​pays if you have them. If your ready for change these guys will help!

New Horizon Health and Wellness is a secret that everyone should know about!!! I happened to hear about the program and stopped by to check it out. The day I went, the program was closed, but the gentleman that works there opened the doors and took the time to tell me about the program. I realized right then that this was the place for me. I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Between the nutritionist, wellness coach, nurse and fitness coach they taught me how to eat properly.
I can honestly say, they have helped change my life for the better!!! I have lost a little over 40 lbs in 3 months. Yes, the results come from your hard work, but with them helping and cheering you on, it makes it much easier!!!
The program helps you learn how your body works and what is the best for YOU!!! Each person is an individual. Not only do they plan for you, they are realistic about real life occasions.

They help you plan what you will eat, how many calories to consume each day, and what kind of exercise you should be doing. You meet each week with caring staff members and if you are willing to change they can help. It isn’t an overnight process, their goal is to get you on the right track for a healthy life.
