This was my first visit to Bagger Dave’s… like no joke. I know, call me a little slow. **NEWSFLASH! LARGESELECTIONGLUTENFREEMENU! ANDNOTJUSTSALAD** Came in on Saturday, 5⁄28 with 2 friends around 9:30 pm. We were promptly greeted and seated with a big smile from Autumn who was our waitress and was on top of things the entire 1.5 hours we were there and ALWAYS smiling :-) We all had kinda weird orders(«86 this», «can I get more of that», «is this gluten free», «I want nachos but with the chips on the side») but the waitress got all of the orders correct. We each had a beer and I was happy to see that they have O’Mission lager! What a nice second gluten free option. The other choice was the nasty Angry Orchard shit(WHO drinks that CRAP?! Seriously… WHO?!) Because it was after 8 pm the appetizers(«starters») are advertised as $ 4 so when I ordered the nacho appetizer I asked if they were part of the deal since the deal didn’t outline which starters were $ 4. Autumn wasn’t sure but thought it might be included. The bill said $ 9.50 but I didn’t bother saying anything but will be sure to clarify next time. I was also charged for the chipotle dipping sauce for the fries that we all shared but the menu said it came with 2 sauces. It was only 50 cents, but still. I don’t know why those petty hidden charges bother me, but they do. The bill is the only reason I rate tonight 3⁄5. Otherwise would have been a 5 :-/ We all were happy with our meals. The fries were excellent and I really like the ranch sauce. The chipotle sauce had some heat. I liked the taste of the nachos but the chips were super SUPER thin and broke every time I picked one up but still good, though. The friends loved the burgers. It’s nice to have another restaurant on board with a pretty decent gluten free menu in the area.

Not the right person to review this place being a vegetarian but their one vegetarian option is pretty good.

Meal took over 30 minutes for burger and some Mac even though it was very slow. All burgers cooked dry as a hockey puck despite request«pink». Why ask? Mac n cheese was good! Waitress was pleasant! This is our last time at Baggers. Too many other burger joints doing it good.

The hubby and I got the craft your own burgers with fries and mac n cheese; it was really good. The meat they use was really good and cooked perfect; mine with no pink and my hubby’s medium! The fries were crispy on the outside and mashed potatoey on the inside and they gave us huge portions! The mac n cheese side was a little small for the price but it was very good. The macaroni was cooked well and there was tons of cheese. It was really warm too which was very much appreciated because we ordered like an hour and half before closing. So Bravo Bagger Dave’s we will return!

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I no this is a chain restaurant but it didn’t feel that way at all. Great burgers, with a lot of options. Got mine with a pretzel bun. Asked for a medium rare and that is what I got… unusual these days. Great toppings and. Relaxing atmosphere and service was spot on. Will be back

Visited again tonight with a few friends. Had an EXCELLENT burger on a pretzel bun, which always kicks them up a notch. Bagger Dave’s burgers are seriously in the upper echelon of burgers. I can’t think of a single place that beats this place out. This time I sat at the bar with a few friends. The bartender, Cori B. provided excellent service. I was surprised to see the liquor selection they had. I always knew they had craft beer, but had no idea the bar was so extensive. Once again, I was fully satisfied with the experience. My past complaint about the order form being a little confusing was actually addressed. The areas that were once confusing have been cleaned up. If you live in Michigan and haven’t been to a Bagger Dave’s yet, GO! I have heard rumors that this location was once a pilot location for breakfast. Must have been absolutely delicious. It’s a bummer that it didn’t catch on.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Got 2 different burgers and a side of twisted mac n cheese. The mac had a distinct vinegar like taste(and a multitude of sauces), which I did not care for. The burgers were loaded up with toppings(there are a lot to choose from), and tasted pretty good. The beef patty was not as good(seemed like it was frozen 30 minutes earlier) and did not have any seasoning that I could tell.

Came in last week, as I was in the area with my friend. We were seated promptly and took a few extra minutes to order. I was pretty bummed that the sandwich I tried(and Unilocaled about) was discontinued . I decided on the Latin chicken sandwich and my buddy got the bacon barbecue burger(with an extra patty). We were very happy with our order and left very full and satisfied. Great service, friendly staff, and fantastic food. I hope they bring back the Italian beef sandwich.

I hope this is Crystal’s first job otherwise I’m highly concerned about the lack of serving skills. For example: We waited for over 10 minutes to get the bill and equally as long for her to come back with it. Even if we didn’t have two kids with us that’s still ridiculous. She also didn’t know what gluten free was or the beers the store had(only 10 kinds by the way). Food was good though.

I’ve had better burgers for a lot cheaper. Side salad at $ 5 is a joke. Tasty food but not worth the money in any way.

I guess this is it for me and Dave. When the first location opened in Berkley it was immediately a hit with me and the fellas. Fresh burgers and toppings, craft brews and great fries. I’ve continued to frequent over the years, hitting this location in Novi and even one near Grand Rapids. I’m glad they’ve been able to expand, grow and bring some tasty stuff to new folks. But as things go, when you grow, you tend to lose your way. I’ve noticed the menu change a bit and quality and consistency struggle. I would go so far to say that much isn’t done in-house anymore. I think they are getting much of their supply and even meat from Gordon’s Food Service; its that prepackaged and bland. This place use to be all about fresh and local. That’s not the case anymore. I can’t tell much difference between here and any other burger bar. Other than at least a local burger bar makes their own hand rolled Patty. Sorry, but you can’t hang your hat on a few local beers anymore. Your food has to be good too! Hope your experience is better than mine.

Hands-down the best burgers in the Detroit area. My wife had a build-your-own burger with fries. I had a Blues Burger with sweet potato chips. My he chips are outstanding and the burger was fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Service was perfect, not too pushy or overly friendly, just right. Thanks for a great lunch.

We have a young family member who was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease. During my search for gluten free restaurants, I discovered that Bagger Dave’s provided a gluten free menu. We were thrilled. Our nine-year-old has been pretty bummed out about giving up cheese burgers. We came into the restaurant and were sat rather quickly. We order some waters and the mix and match fries. We were incredibly disappointed to discover that gluten free simply met the burger on plate, no substitution for the bun. We were really hoping for a gluten free bun. That being said, my son’s burger on plate was over cooked and dry. The same for my six-year-old’s regular cheese burger. The edges were burnt and he had trouble biting into it. The service was okay. What was most disappointing was that several table that were seated after us(and near us) were given teaser menus for some changes that were coming up. We were not given this special menu when we sat down. Perhaps this special menu was for selected guests only. I don’t know, were we not offered one. Lastly, they keep the restaurant very cold. I would recommend a sweater or jacket in the summer. The quality and preparation of the food doesn’t match the cost.

A custom burger… sweet potato chips… and a craft Michigan brew? I don’t know what else you could possibly want. This place has slowly been growing on my list of places to continue to go to when you are looking for something good. Their burgers that are pre-selected are pretty tasty, but if you want your own flavor, go ahead and make your own burger. You’ll leave there happy that you did!

This review is from a visit about a year ago. I have not been back since. Both my and my wifes hamburgers were bloody and raw in the middle. I took a big bite and couldnt figure out why it tasted weird until I looked down and saw raw beef. No exaggeration, it was raw cold meat. The waiter was some what apologetic. He claimed they changed the way the cook and have not figured it out yet. They did bring us new ones that were OK at best. The manager never came over to explain and the waiter seemed almost annoyed he needed to bring us new food. No discount, not coupons, nothing. I emailed Bagger Dave’s and they never responded. I wouldnt go to this location. Also, we used to go about once a month and it was getting increasing worse over that time. They were always out of beers.

It has been many years since visiting this location. On a rainy Sunday evening, the restaurant was surprisingly full — mostly of families. The restaurant played homage to the area with vintage pictures of Novi throughout. At the back was a mural of the Novi police department. Along the side was a large picture of the Central Michigan train and its workers. I love that. And I loved the toy train that chugged along the perimeter of the restaurant, complete with railway crossings at the corners. There are many burger options, including one to build your own. Half the burger menu included chicken and turkey, so there was an abundance of choice for all diners. I went with the Train Wreck burger which could be a wreck if not careful with all the toppings: mushrooms, fries, sautéed onions, lettuce, cheddar cheese, fried egg on a substantial 8 oz fresh patty. It was completely filling, fairly priced, and creative but under-seasoned despite all the ingredients. The fries were perfect: crispy on the outside and tender with each bite. It came with a choice of a sauce from the large selection available: buffalo garlic, ranch, barbecue, Caesar, and honey-sea salt-cinnamon, to name a few. I went with the latter for a different take on fries and I am glad I did. I also appreciated how Bagger Dave’s, a Michigan company, integrated technology it is overall customer experience. Customers could select the music played at the restaurant by making a selection over the Rockbot app, a social jukebox app. As well, diners could pay for their meal by scanning the QR code on their receipt, selecting a tip amount, entering a credit card number, and signing the receipt. A bit clunky, for sure, but I appreciate the experimentation with mobile payments.

To be fair, had to update my review, based upon this last experience. Our burgers were very good! Cooked to our requests and delicious. They were juicy and they had a great flavor. The fries were good, but I think I got the last of a batch, because they were mostly tiny pieces. The service, this time, was spot-on! Very attentive, enthusiastic and friendly! I hope this will be a consistent change for this location. I will give it another visit soon!

Woohoo, as good as it gets for a local chain. Pros: Completely build a party on your burger with the create your own option. Fries are great. Delicious sauces. Macaroni and cheese is great(when it’s on), customizable menu, inexpensive, good beer selection. Cons: I’ve found the mac and cheese to be inconsistent. Service here is inconsistent. I could see how this could be a problem if it was busy. The set up of this menu is designed specifically for me. I can go wild adding toppings and they are inexpensive. I like how they put an emphasis on local. There is a lot of local beer and their«pop» is from a local company as well… and it is delicious. I wouldn’t go into this burger thinking its the best quality burger ever. If you like a plain burger, it may disappoint you. I wouldn’t know because I basically decorate that thing like it is a christmas tree. It quickly turns into a delicious fork and knife glutinous bliss.

Love this place! The burgers are reasonably priced even the create your own ones. Figure 7 bucks or so. They get you with the«extras», which would be fries etc. They don’t necessarily control that at this specific location. Our waitress had good beer recommendations for us and it was very prompt. I want to go back right now!

While I’m not sure about the«legendary» part of Bagger Dave’s, they do make a mean turkey burger and they have a gluten free menu, which makes me very happy when I’m on the road. This place gets busy during lunch hours, so service was a little spotty, and slow to bring our drink orders. They were also behind on bussing tables, which made the place seem a little dingy. Fortunately, what they lacked in timeliness, they made up for in attitude. Our server was very sweet, and helpful in navigating the menu. With two — two! — GF beer selections, I opted for the New Grist, a Milwaukee beer that was light and refreshing. The other choice is Redbridge, which is pretty tasty for a Budweiser product. Bagger Dave’s also has several local Michigan craft beers on tap. Turkey burgers were $ 1 off the day we dined, and even though I prefer my burgers made with beef, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and try something new. I’m glad I did. Bagger Dave’s turkey burgers are quite good, even without the bun. I had mine Italian style, which includes fresh basil, mozzarella, and a great balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The sweet potato chips are also GF, and though I wished they’d been a little crispier, I had no trouble devouring them — with a little help from my coworker.
