We stopped in here about a Month ago before meeting up with some friends for dinner. Unlike many bars on this nyack strip prices for beer /​liquor is very expensive. This place is your basic dive type of bar reasonable prices and the wings were really good. Really glad we gave this place a shot.

Fun place — they have comedy nights, bands, and different attractions. The drinks and food are good, but what makes this place great is the acts they bring in. For this area, it can’t be beat. Check ahead to see what’s going on, hit it on a good night and you’ll be glad you came.

It’s a dive bar in Nyack, so you should not expect the best here! But if you want some live music, to play pool, and hang out, is a fun place. Different vibe then other nyack bars, depends what you want out of a place. I also enjoy the outdoor seating, but it’s usually too overrun with smokers for me

Do yourself a favor and start off your visit by being overly friendly with the bartender because it might raise your chances of havin better and faster service. She will give you some serious attitude and will ignore you or make you feel weird inside. Good beers on tap– great happy hour.
If you order food their hummus is really good.

My boyfriend and I went there on a Saturday, around 7pm. The service was terrible, we ordered an appetizer sample and it took forever to get ready and was very oily. We didn’t wait for the band, that should start around 9pm … I really wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

I didn’t think times were so hard that the bartender/​waitress would change my $ 3.00 to a $ 63.00 tip on a $ 15.00 check. I would suggest if your a patron at this establishment you pay cash and count your change!

Stopped by Olives on our way to dinner to sit outside for a glass of wine or two. The waitress was friendly and on the ball. Will definitely be back.

I went there one night they pushed me to the curb and I got a bloody finger. Another night one worker named Miles said he was going to kill me and though me against the wall. The food is horrible and service sucks.

Hey, Olive! Heads up… you run a shitty operation. The fact that I regularly clean up broken glass bottles that get tossed over a fence by your staff into my backyard really sucks. And what really, really sucks is when I don’t notice it right away and my dogs come close to gashing their paws open when they’re wandering around in our yard. And what really, really, really sucks is that you’ve been notified of this issue (and others) and you’ve chosen to ignore it.
I don’t care how cool of a bar you might be… figure out how to channel some class and respect your neighbors.

Two wildly different experiences.
First time, good cheap drinks, decent cheal apps, good music, good pool, eclectic crowd. Couldn’t wait to come back.
Returned a few weeks later; got a seat at the end of the bar. One bartender must have been going off duty and walked past me. A second one dropped of something by the register and walked away; neither could be bothered to call the bartender at the other end of the bar while he chatted and leisurely served his friends.
Finally, I raised my hand, hoping he’s acknowledge me. No acknowledgement, but he began walking down to my end of the bar. A few friends walked over and he made a beeline to them.
I’ve been in the food business most of my life. I guess the bartender figured it made him cool to ignore me. Or, maybe, the guy has no peripheral vision. Anyway, there are too many bars on Main Street to beg for a goddamn drink. I left and will never return.

The Cheers of Nyack love the staff and the craft beer selection and the amazing food menu and specials! I love going there after work for food and a few beers and a game of pool! They never disappointed me and Meaghan the bartender keeps me coming back for more.

Decent burger and a great place to snatch up a cheap bucket of beer and tie up the pool table for a couple hours. A textbook dive bar with lots of townies and local music happenings. Enjoy some outdoor seating as weather permits! Sadly I have yet to make any foggy memories or foolish decisions here, despite the powerful potential. Updates to follow.

On a busy night, when there is awesome live music, Olive’s is a guaranteed great time. The bar is a generous size, there is a stage for the live music, and the dance floor is decent as long as the tables are moved. This bar has a good beer selection — mix of big names and some local flavor (Defiant!), and the prices are right. You can also get spiked apple cider during the fall and winter months — yummy in my tummy!

For what this place is here in Nyack, you just can’t go wrong at Olive’s. Very nice and cool bartenders. Good food. Very underrated for main street bar food scene. They have fresh unsalted homemade potato chips at the bar on the house. Known for its Live music scene at night a few times a week at least. You will always see a few locals here. Very comfortable place to have a drink and just chill right on Main Street!

Great dive bar. Has a lot of good dive bar qualities: cheap beer, good wings, pool tables, good music, dim lighting.
Please get a website to show your music calendar!!!
I would probably go a lot more if I knew what bands were playing.

Visited this location during the evening hours on 02÷28÷12. I must say I will definitely return to this bar.
THE PROS:
— happy hour goes from 5pm to 9pm
— I volunteered to pay for the first round (4 beers on tap /​during happy hour) and was elated when the bartender asked for $ 11
— we had wings and calamari (both were awesome)
— two pool tables with plenty of space to shoot
— backstage set up for live bands (I did not get to see the band because I left at 9pm)
— bartender was cordial and very knowledgeable of beers on tap
— great selection of drafts
— plenty of seats (very long bar)
— very cool display of antique items throughout the bar
THE CONS:
— depending on the time of your arrival, street parking could be an issue
— could have used a little more sauce with the calamari (I know, I know.…I should have just asked for more. lol)

Wow. I have not been here in yearsssss and what.a.change. Seriously, my friend and I didn’t even know that the downstairs bathroom is only for men now. I remember when this place was a total dive bar and a half with many questionable patrons. We stopped in here Saturday night around 10pm and it was pretty dead. I’m not sure if that’s because it was Easter and Passover weekend, but it was a little shocking. They still have live bands playing and some are good, some are OK and of course others completely suck. They’ve opened things up and have some pool tables off to the left of the bar and some new bathrooms upstairs for the ladies as well as the men. I live in downtown NYC and as other reviewers have pointed out, this is probably the closest thing you will get to a LES, ABC City or Brooklyn bar in Rockland County.

Irvine, CA
This is the closest you’re going to get to a Brooklyn bar on this side of the river. Some good selections on tap (Defiant, Dogfish Head, Dale’s Pale etc.). The food is decent. I’ve had the wings and a chicken sandwich and they were solid bar eats. The staff here really bust their butts to get everyone lubricated.
They make a really strong effort to get some decent independent music acts here and are mostly successful. You can download whatever on the jukebox. Sometimes thats a good thing, sometimes bad, sometimes awesome (I’m lookin’ at you «Return Of The Mack» by Mark Morrison)
Really, it’s a great place to get drunk and then go eat pizza down the block at 1am.
