This place is a dump run by some «manager» that’s usually in court when he’s not lying about his business. Avoid at all cost!

I recently took my Toyota Tacoma there thinking they would do an okay job for the money. They took out a big dent in the bed and resprayed the whole bed. I have to say the work was flawless. No orange peel, no overspray, I was very, very impressed.
I really think the paint job was better than factory.
Really nice guys, professional, and they do great work. Highly recommended.

The Earl Scheib shop did a very good job and had it completed right on time. They ev en went the extra mile and touched up a chip on the bumper caused in a parking lot the first week my wife had the car back. She is VERY pleased with the paint job on her 2005 Prius. The manager couldn’t have been more helpful, polite and friendly. It’s a little hard to find in Oakland but worth the find. I think the job we got would have cost us twice as much as the average body shop.

brought my 62 nova in. The price was right and it looks exactly how I wanted it to). Missed some minor details (painted my antennae, some minor paint on frame, etc.) Overall great experince especially when I had got some other quotes. Had them do some body work and everything looks straight has nice fit. Would not hesitate to bring another car down.

I have a 95 civic that had peeling paint on the roof and hood. I took it to Earl’s to have it repainted. I got the middle price paint job in a color that was fairly close to what my car was already painted. It had a 5 year warranty on the paint. After a quick turn around and bringing home my shiny like new car I began noticing faults. They painted over the sprayers for my windshield washer. I had to replace them. They got paint on my inside door handle and steering wheel. Paint on the headlights. But that’s just sloppy painting. The clincher was the paint began to dull after 6 months. I tried waxing it. I tried polishing it. Then I took it back. They were polite and repainted it free of charge, per the warranty on the paint package I got. And I was somewhat happy again. If I didn’t look to much at the overspray. Now again the paint is beginning to dull, and it’s only been like a year. I don’t want to take it back again. Each time it’s a week I have to go without a car. I’m afraid that they’ll just get sloppier inside my car. I’ll wait and go to a Unilocaled auto paint shop that checks out. Save your money. Don’t go to Earl Scheib.

For the last few years friends and family (and neighbors who are walking by me down the street)… and a couple homeless guys out in front of the Oakland parkway speakeasy… have been politely recommending to me that I get my ’96 jeep repainted. So I finally broke down after this last rainy season and took it in to Earl Scheib. I had a few reservations, but the website showed that it was endorsed by Danny Bonaduce, and that was good enough for me!
Except for the fact that they upsell you a bit like you are buying a new car (they don’t mention that the only colors in the basic package are mauve, tawny, or pea soup) I had a good experience. I even had fun going through the possible color choices like canary yellow racing stripes or candy apple sparkle but I decided to stick with basic black. Except for some little things like they painted over the door handles, the car turned out great — just like new. I am riding in style once again!
