The fries are just okay here… nothing to go crazy over… they were a bit overlooked though.

Love everything about these french fries. I ordered regular with cheese and was in awe when they came out. So good. I may go get more right now!

Fries are alright– not among the best I’ve had but not bad. The woman at the front was rude, and gave me a bit of attitude after I ordered my fries.

I was sitting on the boardwalk across from the place. I watched a worker spill a cupful of straws onto the boardwalk, diligently pick them up, then put those very same straws out for use.

Curly’s fries are delicious French fries, chips, frites(or whatever you personally call them in the culture you’re from). They will compete for best in the world let alone best on the boardwalk. The fresh-cut ones are the famous ones and the fries to order. You have some condiments to add to them like catsup, hot sauce, vinegar, and old bay seasoning but unfortunately no mayonnaise or other sauces like in the Netherlands or Belgium. Oh well, they are still very tasty … and you’re prob eliminating a couple of days of your life anyway by eating them and then going back for more.

Manager and workers were extremely rude, and refused to refund or even explain how a bug crawled out of my fries, right when the cashier handed me my order. Nearby customers also saw this, and left. The manager, an older man told me «It was just a bug, no big deal». And then called me a liar in front of everyone. DISGUSTING!!! The next day my grandparents ordered a bucket of fries, but my grandmother brought a water in her purse. One of the workers saw her take a sip from it and made them leave their seats, saying they bought«outside beverages in.» Mind you theyre in their 80s and it was pouring ran, at 9pm at night. DONOTEATHERE!!! Horrible, rude and racist managers!!!

Curly’s has great boardwalk food! It is definitely not the place to go if you’re trying to be healthy, but the food is outstanding. The fries are perfect and they give you great dipping options. They have fried pickles which I tried for the first time recently and they are something special. They are fried in batter with dill and the dipping sauce is almost like a Greek yogurt sauce. Delicious. And they are a very fair price, which is hard to find on the boardwalk sometimes.

Easily the best fries on the boardwalk! Grab a bucket of crinkle fries and then go get some pizza at Primo’s to keep your fries safe from the pesky seagulls. Love Curly Fries!!!

2 ½ stars but the price they lose a half star. Not earth shattering or life changing, just a decent fry.

Usually very good: thick crinkly fries, just like I want them. This last time, we received horrible fries. They seemed to be the bits and pieces that were leftover with a few fresh ones sprinkled on top. I was not impressed.

I never understood why it was called curly’s fries when their specialty is the crinkle cut fries. I would recommend against the curly fries(and I love curly fries) because they are nothing that special and you can find better on the boardwalk. However, the crinkle cut fries are tops, they have a light crisp to them and are very soft on the inside. They are also freshly cut. This is also where I get my corndog fix, they are pretty good here and makes a perfect meal for walking around. My girlfriend usually orders a lemonade and seems to prefer them here to many other places, but it’s not really my bag. If you order a large lemonade you get a cup you can bring back and refill for $ 1.88(the lemonades are something like $ 3 usually). That being said, prices are a bit extreme here.

Pleasantly surprised by this place! Even if I weren’t gluten free, finding ‘real’ boardwalk fries would be a journey. Most of the stalls on the boardwalk seemed to sell frozen fries from a bag that they claimed were fresh cut… but having a giant box of potatoes up front doesn’t change the fact that you pull things out of a freezer in the back. This place cuts its fries FRESH, and the actual fries look different and rough, like hand cut potatoes. Since I am gluten free, I’d heard about this place from other Unilocalers. At the counter, I asked the woman if she knew if her fries were gluten free. And without batting an eye, she said the hand cut ones only, and pointed to the dedicated fryer. Better yet, if you want malt vinegar, you have to add it yourself from the condiment stand, so there’s no contamination behind the counter that way. They were delicious(and no doubt bad for you), but didn’t make me sick in the least.

Was pleasantly surprised with Curlys fries! Stopped by and wanted to try both the curly(spiral) fries and the hand cut fries. They let me order half and half so I could taste both. The cup was a decent size but slightly overpriced at $ 4. It came with a condiment attachment which was perfect for multitasking on the boardwalk!(see my photo). The curly fries-I love curly fries not only because they remind me of childhood, but I love the seasoning! Nice and peppery with a slight spicy kick. The hand cut fries were perfect in texture and taste, crunchy on the outside, potatoey and smooth on the inside with the perfect amount of salt. MMMMMMMMM! The service was friendly, fast, and accommodating. The employee even saw me looking for a trash can and took my trash for me. I did not expect this sort of service on the OCNJ boardwalk! All in all, a great experience and the fries were so tasty. Will be back!

This is always a just«must» when visiting Ocean City. Curly’s fries are just amazing goodness in a bucket. Get the standard fresh cut fries, piping hot out of the fryer and just go to town. Get a little ketchup and you are good to go. I have honestly never had anything else they have made. The fries are just too perfect. They also have a convenient cup holder for your condiments attached to the bucket.

Can anyone say Nathans? Decent fries. They look and taste like Nathan’s fries to be honest. The fries could have been cooked a little more as they were not crispy and a little undercooked in the middle on the larger sized fries. That’s all. DECENT not great.

Ordered a small bucket of curly fries and a hot dog, nothing spectacular and it was super greasy. I would say maybe I ordered the wrong meal but when it’s called«Curly’s», you just expect the curly fries to be off the chain.

We walked past this stand on our way to the Bashful Banana. My daughter loves french fries and being gluten free, it is often hard to find fries made in a dedicated fryer. Curly Fries does cook their«natural cut» fries in their own fryer. They are pretty good although I think, pretty expensive($ 5 for a small«bucket».) I have to also add, the service is super friendly. I stopped by three times to buy fries and each time, it was literally service with a smile.
