Went with friends, had gone kayaking nearby at the baycat place a few stores over. We arrived during the overlap time for breakfast or lunch and ended up all selecting the breakfast items. I got the Leo which had a crab omelet, and the guys got JTs, which also had a seafood theme. Mine tasted good, and service was good. The guys could have used larger portion sizes and were hungry again soon. I’d go back, but maybe ask about the larger serving items or have guys look at a side etc depending on what they order. Had a lovely and calm view of the bay, got a table right along the railing and no pressure, could sit as long as you liked. The guys also wanted beers — was the first place in town that they realized no alcohol at anyplace in town.

2.5 stars-average dining experience. They were a little short staffed when we were there, which was not surprising because it was a Saturday near the end of the season. That said, we waited 15 min for a table when there were at least 10 open. If you’re dining with kids, they don’t give kid lids and have a small kid menu(drinks be included). All dishes come with yummy fresh fruit. Worth it for the views!

Best breakfast around! Omelets are out of this world lots of filling stuffed in the omelets that are made almost crêpe style so every bite you get egg, cheese and veggies or meat. My personal favorite is the Mickey with the sprouts on top instead of inside. The creaminess of the cheese, crab and avocado is truly amazing. So many choices too the Cioci Norma is another favorite– sausage, onion and cream cheese soooo delicious too many to mention so come check it out! All are served with fresh fruit, home fries and toast!

My favorite place for breakfast in Ocean City. The location on the bay is one of the best parts of this hidden gem. I love their breakfast as well! I get tired of the same old breakfast that I see in ocean city. This place has great, creative and healthy omelettes.

Very convenient for lunch if you come off of the pirate cruise in Ocean City. The view is tremendous. This is where the positives stops. The men’s bathroom also doubles as storage for all of the construction projects they have going on. My children had to step over a bunch of odds and ends in order to use the facilities. The wait staff was a little spotty. We were here only table and it took her ten minutes to come and take our order. Things didn’t really pick up from there as she missed two items we requested. The food itself was very bland. One of my company had the avocado and crab salad. The avocado was still hard and just on a bed of iceberg. Overall a thumbs down. The rest of the parties food was okay. If you are looking for a quick meal(though with no soda, as they don’t serve it), then jump in but don’t set your expectations too high.

When I ate here they had a «no soda» policy. I’ve never heard of such arrogance from the SERVICE industry. They serve below average food at gourmet prices and they are completely aware of it. They get two stars for their beautiful location that would fit much better with a good restaurant.

So-so. The food was not impressive. Being able to dine on the water was the best part of the experience. The menu is limited and the service is nothing impressive. The bread that they served before the meal was also bare bones and it was priced much higher than the food was actually worth.

We stopped here on our way out of town for breakfast because I wanted to dine by the bay. I couldn’t get anyone in my party to get in the car to try it for dinner, maybe next year. My kids ordered fruit and received a huge plate overflowing with cantaloupe, oranges, strawberries, and watermelon. My omelette was great, and over flowing with veggies(I did build your own.) Home fries were tasty. Only negative was the coffee wasn’t great. The kids enjoyed the views of the bay. It was a nice end to our week.

I have always loved Ocean City and one of my favorite places to visit is Mcglades on the bay. The view is BEAUTIFUL and the location is amazing. There is parking and usually not too long of a wait, but honestly I don’t even mind waiting. Their breakfast is the best on the island. I had an Aggies(I think that’s the name) and my boyfriend had a Mickie’s. The breakfast potatoes are so yummy, I can’t explain them(always wanting more). This is a must go! I saw that they also have one in cape, will have to try it next time I’m down the shore.

Went there for lunch after fishing nearby. Nice and breezy on the deck. Had a great tomato and cheese omelet with some of the best home fries I ever had. My brother in law had an excellent chili cheeseburger. Beautiful eating out on the deck. The only negatives were that the menu listed veggie burgers and tuna, usual go to staples. Neither was available nor was their French toast. Food that we did have was great. Would go back.

Place was a joke. $ 108 with tip, $ 91 before. 2 adult«specials» &2 kids meals. Stuffed mahi mahi was an undistinguishable fish wrapped around some salty clump of something. Best part was my daughter’s fried shrimp meal. $ 10 for 4 shrimp. Plus another $ 3 for her chocolate milk! BTW, the wife is in the bathroom vomiting as I write this! Enjoy!

The main reason I joined Unilocal was to warn people about this restaurant. I believe it is closed for the season now but wanted to warn you against it for next year. We went for breakfast and each ordered an omelet. Mine was in the menu as asparagus and swiss cheese @$ 7.50. My friend ordered the mushroom and cheese omelet also @$ 7.50. The waitress, who was annoying, asked her what type of cheese she would like and told her the options. She chose cheddar. Our omelets were served with one piece of burnt toast, fruit(but really just as a garnish) and home fries. They were filled with asparagus and mushrooms, not much cheese and honestly they used so little egg that it was crêpe like. I don’t know how they could have cooked it being so thin. Anyway, they were both tasty and as I said full of asparagus and mushrooms. When the waitress gave us the bill, both omelets were written up @ $ 9.50. I went to get a menu to see if we read the price wrong. No, we were not wrong, so I called the waitress over to say she had made a mistake. She said their prices went up. Well, I said, we ordered from the menu and here are the prices. She then said it was because we changed the cheese. Mine said asparagus and swiss on the menu and I showed her. My friend’s said cheese and she was asked what kind. Really? She knew we were upset and said she would talk to the owner. The owner would not come out and said she would correct mine but she would not change the price of my friends. Horrible! Even if we did change the cheese, the price should not have been $ 2.00 extra. Beware! They have been there a long time and the only thing they have going for them is the view!

Had breakfast here three times this summer, including this past Sunday, their last day this season. Twice I’ve had the Mickey’s omelet without sprouts — including avocado, LOTS of big chunks of lump crab mean, and your choice of cheese. Omelets come with a slice of toast, a healthy serving of fruit(cantaloupe and watermelon slices, a fanned strawberry, a chunk of orange), and real(not frozen) home fries. I’ve also tried the french toast made with Italian bread, really scrumptious, and I’ve been with folks who have tried the crab salad sandwich(proclaimed good, with big pieces of crab meat, and really good potato salad), and the meat lovers omelet that was so full of breakfast meats and cheese it was declared too rich to finish, As others have said, service can be slow, which I attribute to a combination of the college kids that provide the help for the busiest part of the summer, and to the large groups that come in with hordes of small kids either before or after sailing on the pirate ship, which sails right next door. My advice is to lean back and accept ‘island time’, and enjoy the view, the food, and the fact that you’re not eating in a chain fast-food place.(Also note that breakfast runs ’til 2:30PM, and lunch starts at 11:30AM, so if you are with a group that wants a little of each, you will both be satisfied by the overlap.) Also note that all seating is outside on a covered patio, so dress for the temperature.

Take a pass on this place. The view is great but the superlatives stop there. The«famous» bisque was watery and lacked seasoning. Pesto on my pasta was greasy and separated. My daughter’s steak, ordered medium rare, arrived well-done and flavorless. Seasonal peach salad was made with unripe peaches and an oily mess of a vinaigrette. Maybe OK for burgers but McGlades overreaches with an ambitious menu clearly beyond this chef’s ability.

Son found the shrimp and crab bisque salty, i found the(frozen) french fries to be tasting from fishy oil and not properly prepared. The crab cakes were very average, the mashed potatoes were decent. Eating with the party, one person found the honey glazed salmon with crab to be good but too sweet(could have used more crab). The scallops were the best thing anyone had but the portion was small. One of the vegetables served was half of an ear of corn but it was GOOD corn, nicely prepared. Grouper with crab was decent, nothing special(lacked sufficient crab), nice kiddie hot dog and average kiddie chicken finger. Best thing they had going was view of the bay. Service was not special(difficulty getting water), replacement mashed for the fishy fries and server disappeared for long periods of time. No one asked how we liked our meal

just ate dinner here again for like the 7th time and it was great. while a little limited in variety, every meal i’ve had here has been top notch. I had the grilled salmon this time — just perfect — and the chowder they make — also excellent. Mashed potatoes very tasty. Bread is fresh. Service was great: young guy whose voice sounded exactly like my wife’s chiropractor. I kept wanting to ask him to adjust my neck in addition to bringing me tartar sauce. Only thing missing was some nice wine but alas OC remains a dry town. Nothing like eating a great meal while watching the sunset over the bay. Owner/chef could win the Vanessa Redgrave lookalike contest.

McGlades has a pretty harbor view and is a nice quiet spot for lunch. The menu is not especially varied but what we had was fresh and a good sized portion. Sally’s salad came with good Bacon pieces. The crab stuffed avocado was fresh but could use some seasoning.

Had dinner here tonight. I have been coming here for four years. The wait staff, all college age males are a friendly group. They chat with the customers and seem sincerely anxious to please. A bunch of nice and clean cut kids. Partner and I had the crab and shrimp bisque. Very good and nicely seasoned with lots of crab meat and shrimp. The bread was so good we went through two baskets of it. For an entrée I had a crab cake with very little filler, fresh vegetable medley, and it was FRESH. It consisted of zucchini, onions, carrots and cranberries and was seasoned. The red bliss mashed potato’s were fresh and obviously homemade. I find where McGlades stands out is that they are not afraid to season their food. Dessert was chocolate pecan pie… it was wonderful as was the coffee. The ambiance cannot be found anywhere else in Ocean City. The view of the bay is beautiful and words would not do it justice. It was so peaceful sitting at our table while watching the bay, sunset, and boats and listening to the water. We were very happy to experience this. We left feeling very happy that we chose McGlades for dinner.

My father, daughter, and I saw this restaurant overlooking the beautiful bay, and thought we should try it for lunch. The view was great but the food was TERRIBLE! We ordered salads that were inedible. The chicken in the chicken salad looked and tasted like it came from canned chicken. The avocado and crab platter had brown avocados, and crab that tasted rotten. I told the server that the crab did not taste«right.» She told me the chef said it was fine so… fine. No refund, no apology. What a shame to have a great location but horrible food.
