Just left there. We have tried going to this place periodically over the past 3 years. There are two constants– 1. Food is good and 2. The bartender is terrible and rude. Daria is the the worst. I gave her a couple of passes because we all have bad days but this woman is truly rude. I will not return as long as her miserable face is on the other side of the bar. This is not fair to the wait staff because they all are great. But for the Love of God… get some happy and helpful bartenders behind that bar.

Worst service we’ve ever had. My parents had been coming here for many years. I recently came home for a visit &7 of us had decided to go here for dinner. I had never been. To start when we walked in there was no one waiting & an entirely empty room right in front of us. So we were a little surprised to be told that there would be a 30 min wait. When we asked why the hostess told us that there was only one room open for seating. We decided to stick with the wait. There was about a 15 min wait after we got seated before we met our waitress. At first glance she seemed over whelmed just by taking our drink order which wasn’t anything special, cokes & teas. We waited more. Placed our order. Waited more…& more… finally got some of our apps & some of our guests were also waiting on salads. Almost an hour later & we were still waiting. We finally had enough… asked the manager to get our bill for what we did get & left. Not including the wait to get seated we were there for almost 2 hours with drinks & some of the appetizers we ordered. On the plus side, the food we did get was amazing. It’s a shame we didn’t get the whole meal.

Really zero stars! Avoid this place. Food and service horrible! They would be better off closing the place.

Service at bar was slow with handful of people who apparently were friends apps tasted like they where frozen then cooked tuna sliced to thick no wasabi as advertised shrimp not good. Waiting on burgers afraid to order dinners at those prices to find out they are not that good either will return after burgers.

We love the Seaville for the past 2+ years but it keeps going downhill. Tonight was the final straw for us. Aside from our waitress who was awesome our entire dining experience was awful. We ordered our drinks this past summer I joined the Seaville mug club to get money off when you ordered beer in the remote. A Mug you pay five dollars for. I was told that they really don’t do that now that the season is over. This was never told to me when I purchased them out mid July. I’m not down here on Sunday nights so I thought it would be nice but I got the old bait and switch. I was told they had five dollar Miller light pitchers. The pitcher held 2 beers. Whatever. We ordered nachos and when they arrived 20 minutes later you really couldn’t see them because of all the salsa that was dumped on top of them. Why you may wonder, because every chick underneath was burnt to a crisp. We politely sent them back. I understand they make money in spite of themselves in the summertime but it is no time to strive for mediocrity in a business where there are so many other restaurants. I am really disappointed at their lack of commitment for quality and success. My wife and I agreed we will not go back for at least six months at which time I hope they hire someone with some type of business sense to oversee the operation. Dine there if you dare. The sad thing is this past summer we recommended the Seaville to friends of ours who had a party of 12 including a special-needs person, after 50 minutes they left and went across the street to Dino’s and had a fantastic dining experience. I couldn’t get these friends of mine to go back if I tried. Guys, get this place back to where it should be why does it bother me yet it doesn’t bother you and i’m the one paying? You will get your last chance in April 2016 I hope you’re ready?

I have never had a bad meal here. My reason for 3 stars is that sometimes the wait is ridiculous and you do tend to feel like the bartenders are chasing you out the door at 9:00 on a Thursday night. There isn’t many local bars besides CCT so it would be nice to be able to hang out here late night and be able to get the best wings this area has to offer.

Not your typical shore bar /restaurant. Service in the bar area dinning room was very good although as you sitting down the server is on top of you asking what you want to drink. We ordered 10 wing’s as an appetizer which came out well before or dinner. The wings were really good. My wife ordered the mango chicken salad and I ordered the Cuban sandwich. The salad was large with a ample portion of grilled chicken and at least a half of a mango. My wife enjoyed the salad very much. My Cuban sandwich was what I was hoping for. Tender tasty shredded pork with tasty ham covered with melted cheese mustard and a few pickles. This was stuffed in side a perfect roll. Soft inside crusty outside. Upon biting into the sandwich there was a burst of flavor. You could taste each of the items in the sandwich. I was unable to finish the sandwich and took half to go.

I eat here fairly often. 6 – 8 times a month spring to fall and once a month in winter. It’s hit or miss with the kitchen. Great specials for dine in. Monday is 1 app, 2 entrees and a dessert for $ 21 or $ 25. Thursdays is wing nite $ 2.99 for 5 regular or boneless wings. Friday night is Prime Rib special. Great beer selection(draft and bottles). Beer specials are very competitive. Love the different beer flights and growler program. Food taste and quality is average. It is a tavern… Not pleased tonight, which happens about ¼ of the time here. People are friendly but it’s difficult at times to get service. Even for take out. Took 20 min to order 1 sandwich and an appetizer. Finally phone was answered as I was pulling in. Bar had 5 guests restaurant had 1 table of 4. 5 servers, 1 mgr, 1 hostess and a bartender so I was a little annoyed. Otherwise, it’s food for a good price for lunch and dinner. Outside patio open seasonally. Liquor store attached to tavern. Nice selection for the store size. Create your own 6pack available. Pass on the breakfast buffet. Very limited selection for $ 14−17/ pp plus drinks. It’s literally fruit, cereal, bacon, sausage, steam table eggs and occasionally potatoes. They offer toasts but 1 toaster is set out for a packed restaurant, omelets to order but it takes a while. Menu recommendations: garbage fries, calamari, sliders, hot roast beef sandwich, chicken wings(but not boneless, they are sub par) and the Friday night prime rib special. Not recommended: chicken fingers. Too many times the taste and texture was as though they were fried ahead of time and microwaved before serving. Needed steak knives to cut.

I will never go here again or spend another penny!!! This place has the worst service I have ever experienced! There is a reason why there is plenty of parking on a Friday/Saturday night !! We walk in and there are only about 4 people in the waiting they tell us 15 – 20 minute wait with a bunch of empty tables, 20 minutes later they tell us that they are going to let another table they just sat order than they will seat us in about 10 minutes so we ended up leaving and went to Dino’s. While I was sitting in the waiting area I watched $ 500 walk out the door. My neighbor even warned us a few weeks ago about this, they actually had to walk out on their order because it took over an hour for their food to come out. I was told this place goes through managers & cooks like water. If you have kids do not go here!!!

Menu is primarily«pub grub» served slowly and blandly. Wings are ordinary and tiny. Waitstaff always seems harried and short handed.

Seems like this place has an issue with making money, like they don’t want to! Wing night is the only time customers are there, and any other night they chase you out the door! Someone please buy this place and save it!

I have given this place probably around 10 chances over the last 20 plus years. Whether it be meeting some friends or just saying«well it’s been year’s let’s see if they have gotten better». NOPE. The owner of this place can not have concerns about making profit there. No way possible. You can walk into this place in the summer on a Friday night and get a seat no problem. Pretty hard task to achieve at the jersey shore. Food is «edible», the staff is horrible. I have witnessed them shut the bar down at 10pm with a full bar??? They do have an excellent selection of craft beer. I will give them that. But they have such a reputation of shutting the bar down early that no one seems to bother to roll the dice and have their night cut short at the bar so they go elsewhere. Place has so much potential. Maybe one day it will have a motivated owner.

Bad brunch experience. We arrived a little late-12:10 or so when brunch stops at 12.30. Most of the tables were clearing out. The waitress was clearly only interested in closing, as tables were being bussed and we got to enjoy the sounds of crashing dishes all around us. We asked for coffee a second time. We got an apology-I wanted to make you a fresh pot. Well, the fresh pot was freezing. Not even slightly warm-actually cold. Your only job as a server at a buffet is to serve drinks and coffee. I’ve done this job. There was no check-in to see if we were ok, where we could have the opportunity to ask for hot coffee. Just frantic crashing dishes. We even asked one staff member if there was a microwave. He looked straight in our faces, said nothing and walked away. Didn’t get the waitress. I didn’t know how to use the waffle mix thing and nobody was overly eager to help me. There weren’t any other customers, so wouldn’t kill ya to be more helpful. After a minute or so looking confused I got a little help. I understand wanting to end your shift. Having waitressed before I really understand. But if you can’t give good service, just tell people that you ran out of everything and close up(you can honestly say that you don’t have sausage, hot coffee, patience to serve one more table). We still left a good tip. However, we won’t be back.

Best meal I’ve ever had down the shore, hands down. Based on the other reviews, maybe I got lucky. We went down slightly off season, in the fall, when local fresh ingredients are plentiful but the crowds are not. And we were there on a weekday. They had specials that included fresh local scallops, flounder, fried green tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, corn… Amazing beer selection too. Place was pretty empty, although the food took some time(and I’d expect good fresh food to take a little while). Totally worth it.

If you are looking for good drink specials, cheap«bar» food and a place to watch a football game, this is probably more of a 3 – 4 star establishment for you. However, if you want something fancier than mozzarella sticks, or cleanliness of the restaurant/bathrooms, or the service in the dining room is important to you — 2 stars are generous. I hadn’t been here in years, and it’s changed owners(and names) a few times since then, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a shot. We weren’t looking for a fancy dinner or anything, just a drink and some light food. The specials(Tuesday) were great — a pitcher of blue moon for $ 7, $ 5 apps between 12pm and 6pm, and any burger on the menu was $ 5. We ordered our drinks and mozzarella sticks(boyfriend’s pick) and they were actually better than I expected. I admit, I wasn’t expecting much, but they didn’t taste like old oil and the cheese inside wasn’t molten and gross — not bad for $ 5. The $ 5 burger we ordered sounded delicious(we both got the same one) but our«medium» burgers came out like hockey pucks — why ask how we want them cooked if you’re not going to pay any attention at all to how you’re cooking them? They were so so overcooked. Completely black on the outside and gray inside. We were the only people in the restaurant, so I don’t know how they overlooked the only two things on order. Pretty sad. The fries were really good though — again, no icky oil taste(like I’d expect from a place like this on a quiet Tuesday) and cooked perfectly. If you want a decent dinner, I’d pass over the Seaville Tavern, but if you want to kill some time and have a few drinks and some cheap bar food, check it out for happy hour.

Went here on vacation at the recommendation of a local. Not quite a bar, not quite a restaurant, I guess that is why it is called a Tavern. The positives(sort of): 1) There was Pabst Blue Ribbon on special. Bonus points. 2) Was seated immediately, but found that odd for a Friday at 7PM during the 4th of July week 3) The pork chop was cooked well and very tasty. Very tasty, but I could have just been starving based on the waiting time The negatives: 1) One of the slowest places I’ve ever been to eat. 55+ minutes from the time it took to order to receiving the food. Considering there was nobody in the place, this was ridiculous. I wanted to ask one of the 6 waitresses staring at us all night, as it seemed they had nothing better to do, but none of them was our waitress, nor did any of them seem to pick up on the«hey, I’m waving at you international sign of get over here so I can talk to you» hand gestures 2) Our waitress disappeared for 45 minutes. Only came back to say the food was almost ready and pour beer on my 4 year old. She apologized to him, but never to us, the parents of the 4 year old. She never apologized about the food being late, nor asked us if it was OK. She only insisted on being intrusive and pushy the 35 seconds she was gracing us with her presence 3) Kids menu is the typical kid food crap, completely boring and apparently too hard to cook well. When a 4 year old tells you his grill cheese is bad, you should know it is pretty awful. A taste proved it was disgusting. It did include a free ice cream which took another 15 minutes to arrive. Absolutely ridiculous 4) While my wife’s food was obviously quantity over quality, my food was an attempt and reversing that trend. The pork chop was good, but the«sides» were more of a «oh crap, we should throw something on this plate» and it was literally a spoon full of mashed potatoes and a spoon full of cole slaw 5) Filthy bathroom Summary: I’ll chalk this up to a horrible server who probably should think of a career at the DMV, but based on that experience and the negatives outweighing the positives, I won’t be back next year.
