Nice place for a coffee, ice cream or bagel. Really friendly staff. My son dropped his ice cream and they replaced it and the owner came to check on him.
The Old Shack is an integral part of our vacation here.

So I go here all the time they have good food. My problem is the fact everyone cooking (teens) never wears gloves or washes their hands… Gross. I watched for 30 min these workers making sandwiches and ringing people out, counting money, opening the doors and never once washed their hands. I can’t believe the board of health hasn’t been there. Anyway just be aware of you get sick afterwards.

The one constant in Strathmere NJ is The Shack! My family and I can’t leave the shore without a cheesesteak or a hoagie. We’ve been going for years and we love it! Good food, cold drinks, cool Strathmere shirt, and a two min walk from the beach! Love it

6−14−15. Updated review. The steak I got today didn’t even compair to my last. No meat. Weak on the cheese tip. Maybe because it was busy or what. I’ll pass from now on.

Me and my friend just got a burger from here, it was really tasty! They have all kinds of hot sauce on the counters you can use to spice up you meal. I just wish the tables were cleaner!
