This review is not for food but for customer service. I arrived here at 8:39 pm on a Sunday night. The sign outside states they are open until 9:00 pm but I was met with a closed sign and the door was locked. This is not very good business.

Absolutely dreadful! Had a #6 Beef Burrito Enchilada combination. Bland pink cold boiled beef with random cut green peppers and warm smashed tomatoes. The enchilada had horrible cheap cheese and a cold sauce. The beans and rice were not even edible. May just be the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Stay away!

ZERO STARS. Ordered 4 fish tacos 2 without taco sauce once I got home I realized that they got the order wrong. They took off the pico de gallo instead of the sauce. When I went back I told the Cashier «Carlos» that he got the order wrong. He didn’t apologize, and just turned around to tell them to redo it. I told him to give me something for the inconvenience and he wanted to give me a drink when I already bought drinks! I told him I wanted a sausage burrito instead. When I got it back he handled my food as if he had something against me, HELLO, you got my order wrong!!! I open to inspect the tacos and it looked like they just wiped it off and refried the fish and reused the tortilla what a fucking joke! He went to get the sausage from the burrito and started hitting it on the counter, mishandling my food. I did not want to eat anything once that happened and I decided I was going to confront him about all the things that pissed me off. I asked him what was his name and he just mumbled and I told him to speak up. He said his name was Carlos with attitude and he didn’t want to give me his last name. I told him that I didn’t appreciate that he didn’t apologize from the start, that he was messing with my food which is something that you should never do and that They took 20 minutes to fix my order and give me a burrito, with Terrible customer service and lack of respect. He was giving me smark ass remarks and I resorted to demanding for a refund. He gave me the refund and kept the complimentary burrito. I will be calling the store tomorrow to make sure he gets taken care of. I don’t do reviews but people should understand that you shouldn’t mess with peoples food and that if you make a mistake, take care of it with respect. He failed to do so and I will be demanding a full sincere apology from him with his boss there. Dueces.

10.52 for a breakfast burrito and a horchata… that is just highway robbery, when I questioned the cashier about it all he says is «Si» sorry but I can’t argue with a person who can’t speak English… All in all, what a bad way to start my day

This place is meh from start to finish. It looks and feels run down, the food is under seasoned and overcooked. The food selections aren’t great, and most of the stuff seems pre-​made so it lacks flexibility.

Went here tonight at 9:45pm, they had already closed. The posted sign (next to their locked door) said they were open until 10:00pm. I knocked on the door, because I saw one of the employees in the kitchen area, and he did not respond. There was a woman in the back (break area perhaps) who was facing the front door. I could see her very clearly. She too ignored me. There was no loud noise from what I could hear to prevent them from hearing me. Very disappointed.

I love this place! They make the BEST carne asada fries, nachos and California burrito!
They put a lot of meat, sour cream and guac. A great place to go when you don’t want to cook but want some Mexican food.

Not what I expected. It smelt in the restaurant of urine. The food was cold and covered in cheese. I’m from Texas and the Mexican food there is amazing so coming here to try this was a BIG disappointment.

This place is great. Guy that works night always offers great customer service. Fish tacos and cheese enchiladas are on point!

OKAY!!! If a restaurant chain can’t even get the hours of operation correct… What is correct? I would hope that Food & Health Department checks the temps. On the steam tables, as well as the coolers!!!
Did you know if you don’t stir beans as they are cooling down to save for lets say the next day of service (Cause trust me, they will not waste a penny!!) it will foam up and smell like puke! So, long story short, if they can’t get their hours of operation correct, who’s getting sick? If you have not, Kudos but your odds are getting worse each and every time you eat there!!!
So Alberto’s, is it 7:30AM– 11:00PM OR 7:30AM– 10:30PM DAILY??? Or really, what are your hours of serving customers???

I am not sure what happened to the food at this Alberto’s but if a Mexican restaurant can’t get the beans right, they have lost my confidence right from the start. I can’t even describe what the beans tasted like except to say flavorless. The carnitas on my late were hard, dry and overlooked. I had to put salsa on the meat to soften it up so I could eat it. The rice was the best feature to me but still lacked flavor, so I put more salsa on that. I tried my sons nachos and they were okay but the beans ruined them. My daughters enchilada had good flavor because of the sauce but was dry and the chicken must have been boiled. I won’t go back for their lunch and dinner but the breakfast burritos were pretty tasty.

Taquitos Are awesome! Great friendly service! Love this albertos better than the one back home in south el monte!

Frequent stop when we drive through on the way to our camping locations. Hot, fresh and friendly!

Food here is cheap. I got 3 rolled tacos for 3.25 but they only come with guac and cheese. I asked for some lettuce and sour cream on them, the guy didn’t tell me it was an extra charge. It was a dollar for both things. When I got my food it was really skimpy, but it tasted good. I got red salsa on them but then I had a pool of water in the bottom, I had to change my plate because I didn’t want to tacos to get soggy. I also got a can coke but I think they had barely put it in the fridge because when I took a sip it was room temperature, not very refreshing. In all the food was good, just not ideal.

Alberto’s use to be the local high school hangout, but since I’m aged I left Alberto’s and moved on.
Last night was the first time going in literally years! After a super hot day, my friend and I weren’t in the mood to cook, but in the mood for Mexican food.
We ordered CA Burrito and Chicken Taco Combo. The food was ok but really lacked on flavor. The salsa made it better, but everything was pretty plain, which reminded me why high schoolers love this place!
If you’re not a big cheese person, I would ask for little cheese or no cheese because they LOVE to pack anything and everything with cheese.

Stopped by here a few weeks ago and ended up ordering a California Burrito for lunch. For some reason, I went with the carne asada meat but when I got it, it tasted more like shredded beef. Wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. The french fries were a bit soggy as well and didn’t bode well with the overall experience. Taste was a bit bland as well and didn’t really go to my liking.

I frequent this place quite a bit since it is within walking distance from my house. I call in advance and I have my food waiting for me when I get there. Which is awesome! (Pro tip: dont be a wasteful piece of garbage and bring in your own reusable bag! Seriously such a waste of plastic.)
Anyway staff is super friendly. And there is a debit/​credit transaction fee which is CLEARLY posted for those that are subjectively blind.
Bottom line, the food is great, the staff are friendly and hey guys, how about using a little common sense?

So after reading all the bad reviews I had to try for myself. When I’m at Jb Juice I see a lot of people going inside Albertos which confuses me. So a lot of the reviews say try the carne asada fries and the Cali burrito so I did. Boy oh boy, the fries were pretty decent but the burrito needed some work. The meat just wasn’t that good it didn’t seem cooked all the way. I don’t think I would give them another chance but the soda was good.

I actually prefer this location over the one on Vandegrift by Fresh and Easy. See my review!
The Carne Asada was seasoned, the fries were good, and their portions are still massive. I ordered Carne Asada Fries, Cheese Quesadilla, and Pollo Asada Burrito for $ 16.
My meal was picked up by my brother, so I’m unsure about their customer service hence the stars (to be fair!)
