Relatively new building, nice décor, good staff and predictable, reliable menu… Fresh fish, trout, is really tasty. — Why do restaurants seat you near the wait stand and /or bathrooms when they have plenty of seating available? Wife thinks I am a rude SOB when I push back about this… Word of advice to restaurants; whatever your reason is for seating me like this, if I sit down to a shitty table you chose for me and I see a much nicer, quiet table with a window, I blame you…

So, I used to frequent the Red Lobster in Brea, CA often, my grandma always chose that for a lunch spot. So the RL brings back fond memories for me. I always would being an extra $ 5 in cash with me, since my grandma was high maintenance and a big-time complainer at all restaurants, sending food back, etc. And then would leave an average tip. Ahhh, it sucks to be a lunch waitress at a place that old people like. Yes, the RL attracts the over 60 crowd, for sure. But then, the Queen B made it popular again recently, and #redlobster is trending. Thanks Beyonce! We wanted to do dinner out after a long Sunday of working on the garden, and remembered it’s LobsterFest right now, and that Red Lobster is On Trend right now. Boom. We arrived and sat in the bar area, self-seating. Were promptly greeted by Mindy who was a great server, attentive, gave good suggestions and answered my questions honestly. We got the Lobster Dip, was exactly what I expected it to be. We did not need that at all, since we had about 12 of the biscuits, which are so damn good, and unfortunately 160 calories each. But delicious. Followed by the Dueling Lobster Tails, super amazing. With the Green Beans, which were surprisingly delicious. And he got the Lobster Pizza too. We were hungry. The pizza was good, the crust is paper-thin. Was tasty, no earth-shattering, but it was good. We have half in the fridge still. They have wine options of 6oz or 9oz, or a bottle. Nice options. So, we will be back!

Excellent dinning experience. We went on Valentines day so it was crowded but they had a very good coordinated way of seating customers. Our server Cortez was very professional, friendly and efficient. He offered good suggestions and checked on us often and kept our drinks filled up. It was busy but he still made sure we were tended too in a timely manner. Having a good server makes a huge difference. Especially when your on a special date like Valentines day dinner. The food was amazing. The lobster pizza appetizer was great. We both ordered the Smokehouse surf and turf which was fresh and had excellent flavor. I have to say this was one of the best dinning experiences we have had in a long time.

The Best meal we have had in a long time! ! Generous portions, incredible flavor and selection, superlative service(Janessa is prompt, friendly, helpful /not pushy) and a cozy booth where we could hear each other and enjoy our evening. You have to try the Incredible Chocolate Cake! !

Had a delicious and healthy lunch today. Broiled trout with steamed broccoli, baked potato, and garden salad. Held the dressing and butter and used lemon instead for a lighter option. Total 500 calories of pure bliss. Friendly, attentive but not overbearing staff. We’ll be back!

Came for lunch with my daughter. We were seated by a familiar face Dylan, it was great to have a friendly face from a previous restaurant. Dylan is always smiling and very pleasant. Great people person. Great for lunch no wait.

We went to have a family Christmas celebration tonight and had a very pleasant, genuine, young waiter named Dylan. He was very friendly and had us laughing with his corky ways. We ordered claim chowder, calamari, steak, lobster pizza& the Seafood trio and everything was really tasty and we all shared! Kuddos to Dylan

Haven’t been here in years. I remember coming here for my birthday a couple of times when I was a kid. Not too fond of the new location. At least we didn’t have to wait to be seated. Got a booth right away and the hostess was very nice. Almost too perky for me. Haha Other reviews were right about the service. It was kind of slow. Maybe they were taking it easy because it was a Monday afternoon. Except I heard in the booth next to us that a person’s salad didn’t even come out until the meal did. Our drinks also took a bit, but I think it’s because mine was alcoholic(strawberry mojito) and those take extra effort to make. There wasn’t any silverware at the table like other reviews stated. My buddy had to grab a set off of another table. When he did that, then the waiter brought over a set for me and replaced the one my buddy took off the other table. I guess you have to ask for them. Lunch specials are priced right, but the dinner entrees are expensive. The basic parmesan crusted tilapia filet with broccoli and a side is $ 16! I’m more curious about the tilapia lunch tacos for $ 8. I ended up having the crunch fried fish sandwich and fries for a little more than $ 10. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with two filets instead of one. When we were done with the biscuits, we placed the empty basket at the end of the table. The waiter never came by to take it and ask us if we wanted more. We didn’t get a second batch until we were done and about to settle the check. Apparently you have to ask for those too. By then we got them in a doggy bag to go. We still love the food and atmosphere of this place. However, the servers definitely need to pick up the pace a bit and be more attentive.

Ate here last night to celebrate Veterans Day and although the wait was about 30 minutes the staff there was amazing! The ladies at the front were very polite and were working diligently to get everyone seated. Our server, Janelle, was fantastic! She had another huge table right beside ours and was super friendly and thanked my husband for his service. Even though it was a crazy hectic night for the servers, she still had a smile on her face and attended to all of her customers. The food was delicious and came out nice and hot! The establishment itself was clean and the bathrooms were too! Overall, I’m glad we came here instead of Applebee’s down the road or Outback Steakhouse. Red lobster gets an A+ in my book! We will be back!

Love their shrimp trio & of course their cheddar biscuits are great! Really good lava chocolate-chip cookie! Big portions at reasonable prices. Huge menu. Great service. Great atmosphere. But…skip the berry sangria — more fruit juice than what you pay for alcohol $ wise, but good.

This was a horrible idea to bring my mother for her birthday to eat here. The server was fine, it was the manager who made this experience horrific. She started off by mentioning numbers as a system to pay for checks while not a soul was concerned on how they would pay while ordering drinks. The end result was a 20 minute bill division to find out who ordered what. My brother ordered a water, to not receive it until he was eating. Not to mention he had to use my second fork because he had no silverware. From the wait for napkins, to the wait for normal service, everything took needing to be asked rather than us enjoying the moment and food. The last straw for me was when I noticed everyone was eating their food, while I nibbled on my croutons from the end of my salad. She then bright it out once everyone was done eating and stated«it’s very hot, it just came out». I ordered chicken Alfredo. How lobster and shrimp beats chicken to the table is puzzling. Lastly, we brought our mother a cake with candles. The manager was such in a rush to get us out at closing, she lit the candles without even asking how many or even if we all wanted cake. My mom has a family tradition of only 3 candles being lit up, and nearly began to cry on her birthday to have them removed before we singing happy birthday, VERYAWKWARDLY. My fiancé works at a sizzler restaurant. I am a district manager of a wireless company. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had and has solidified my opinion on red lobster. True customer service needs to be addressed here. You don’t make your customers feel like they won’t tip you before they order drinks. You never make the man of the table, wait for his food until everyone is done. Now I’m at home, wondering why I spent money at your restaurant, to eat the food that was so late I have no choice but to eat it or waste $ 30. This message is to voice my opinion on the matter. I will be writing a Unilocal review as well advising any large parties to avoid this chain of red lobster in socal. Time and time again I was told by elders at the table, this is not how red lobster usually is. With an experience like tonight, I would hope not for your sake. Hope this reaches the right ears and something happens before someone else decides to take their mother for a birthday dinner.

Dylan C. was our server tonight and he was just fabulous! It was my 25th birthday dinner and he was bubbly, attentive, funny and made the experience a five star experience. If there were 6 stars he’d have them all! Alina was the manager on duty I’m assuming and she was fabulous too! She checked in with us twice and was very polite and warm. The food was amazing. To the chefs back there, like I had Dylan tell you– you cooked that seafood and asparagus to perfection! It was just right. The crab sampler appetizer was amazing. Got a free appetizer for being a part of their rewards program! Dad got the Shrimp my way and loved it! And my mom got the half order of the crab Alfredo. I got the lump crab cakes and loaded crab topped salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes. They came out with some vanilla ice cream and sang happy birthday and were all super great about it! P. s. The cheddar buscuits are still TODIEFOR!

We were celebrating my Daughter, Samantha’s Birthday. Food was GREAT. Brandon another waiter actually has superior service qualities as he had noticed that we hadn’t had our drink order taken. He took our drink order & even took our food order before the waiter who was assigned to our table even recognized we were sitting there. Brandon definitely deserves the tips for his customer service

We came back to Red Lobster 2 nights ago, and it was pretty disappointing. The waiter was extremely friendly and nice, so I feel kinda like an ass for giving them such a bad review. But I definitely won’t be coming back. 1.) Completely overpriced. If you go to another seafood restaurant, you get twice as much food with similar pricing. And considering there were more than two problems this specific time at Red Lobster, we still didn’t get any discount. 2.) Service is always different, but the people who work here are really friendly. The downfall is the fact there’s super long wait times. Also, we asked to replace the original side for mashed potatoes, and that didn’t happen. 3.) The drinks we got had sh** floating in it. Not sure what it was, but two times we asked for new drinks because of that. Gross. The silverware I opened had leftover food on the fork still. Again, gross. 4.) I don’t like seafood, but I got the popcorn shrimp assuming it’d be a safe pick, but it was soggy and cold. She got some steam pot thing, but it was super tiny and although she said it was pretty good, she also pointed out it definitely isn’t great… Maybe this was just an off-day, and the employees were really friendly, but I definitely don’t plan on coming back.

Well we used to love always coming here but this last time was a real disappointment for the following reasons: –service was extremely slow –my daughter prefer the lobster pizza but can’t eat tomatoes so what do you think was all over it when it finally came out? Tomatoes. So they had to take it back and my little one was so hungry she ended up eating off of my and husbands plates and filling up on biscuits so by the time it came out she was already full! And of course we still got charged for it. No offer for even a discount on the shitty attention to detail. ONELITTLEDETAIL! –the food tasted like it’s been reheated and the scallops were rubbery(over cooked). Definitely won’t be going here again.

I give this place two stars bc the food was good. Everything else — cruddy. Personally I wouldnt pick Red Lobster myself. This is my friend’s doing. But, I was excited for shrimp. First of all, we waited 25 minutes for a table. Fine. it’s a Friday night so no biggie. When we finally were seated, it was in the first come first served bar area! We waited 25 minutes to be seated in a section that we could have just sat at initially — had we known. SUPERANNOYING. I told the manager about this(we had to see her anyway bc we had a free appetizer coupon.) She just justified the situation by telling me that they want to keep that area bust as well. Cool — but not my problem. The service was OK. Slow — especially for such a small area where there was at least one other server. We received no silverware/napkins. Had to ask for them. After we were finished eating, the bill took forever too. The food was good. Overpriced in my opinion but whatever. Seafood is always overpriced. I would have personally chosen King’s Fish House. We had: Lobster Artichoke Dip with chips — the dip was tasty, chips were not great Crab Linguine Alfredo — Tasty(as you cant find this easily anywhere else) Seaside Shrimp Trio — Included shrimp alfredo, walts shrimp, and regular hand breaded shrimp — was super good(took most of it home for munchies) Potato bacon soup — Fantastic! Apple Crostada– Very good! Total bill $ 60 including tip(bc of the free appetizer posted through Unilocal) The food was good. Everything else — bleh. King’s Fish House next time for sure!

Your average Red Lobster. Went here around 12pm with my girlfriend for lunch, there was no wait, food was good I had the clam chowder soup and Cesar salad. They don’t have a lot of choices for their lunch menu that’s why I went for that choice nothing exciting about it just a plain salad. Soup was good. I was there for their drinks! their Pina Colada and their Sangria are the bomb! I wish they had a happy hour I would probably go in there more often just to drink! Our waitress was very professional and attentive and check in with us without being overbearing since my girlfriend and I were in conversation mode the whole time. She was super sweet. I would give service 5 stars

We’d been hankering to have some lobster so I talked my husband into going again with me(we went about two weeks ago but left because no one would speak to us in the bar). First I’d like to give some Kudos to our waitress Kim. She was VERY good. Friendly, upbeat, professional, and always there when we needed something. She checked back with us without hovering, and I give her five stars. But this review isn’t about the wait staff, it’s about the restaurant and in particular, the meal that I had. I ordered the lobster tail, which I believe is the most expensive thing on the menu. The lobster, though, at under 400 calories, is one of the cheapest things on the menu as far as calories go, and that’s what I was looking for because I wanted to eat two of the 160 calorie rolls.(Yum!) It was a lot of food, more than I expected, so for that I say, «wonderful!». I should have listened to Kimberly when she offered a smaller portion size for about $ 20 less. I didn’t listen, and got the meal. The salad came and I ate it, nothing exciting, just a garden salad which was what I wanted. Then our meal came and I must say that the broccoli I ordered was steamed to perfection! I hate veggies that are over cooked. How I wish that the chef had prepared my steamed lobster tail as well as he steamed my broccoli. The lobster was overcooked. Yes, you CAN over-steam lobster. It makes it tough and chewy instead of soft and delightful. I’ll still go again, which is why I’m rating it A-OK but the jury is still out for me.

It’s been about 15 years since the last time I was at Red Lobster. I opened the menu and NOTE: most menu items are about $ 29. The server was very polite and went out of her way to provide excellent service. The staff did a superb job at cleaning our table, moving things onto and off of our table, and keeping everything clean. The taste of the food(lobster, crab legs, shrimp tails, broccoli, house salad, soup, dessert(caramel drizzled cheesecake)) was very good. No complaints there. The only thing we(3 of us) were disappointed in, was the price. For $ 29, plus the cost of a drink, the meal better be «Excellent!», and not just«very good.» So all in all, I think they need to lower the price by $ 8. But hey, this is Unilocal, read other reviews and make your own decision. The restrooms were clean.
