I bring my son to this location often enough and for the longest time they had the same games, but now they have some new ones which my son really enjoyed! And since I love to eat! :) they have the all you can eat salad and pizza buffet from I believe 12−3pm not sure though it was cheap for both my son and I including 2 small drinks its was like 10 bucks! Under 3 is free!

After a semi cold pizza being delivered because it was sitting at the window for so long, our trip here was different. Their was a confrontation because their was only one person at the register with a long line… A customer asked for the manager to come ring up people because she wasn’t doing anything just walking around looking at the long line, their were plenty of workers here both with red and blue shirts… 3 men got in a verbal altercation because of this long line. We were front row to this altercation my kids were listening to them fight while manager just looked at them. She should’ve done her job as a manger to at least kindly ask the men to step outside because 1 this is a place for kids and 2 their were plenty of kids around. This management is horrible and the fact that she won’t do anything with these occurring situations at a kid place is unbelievable!!! Not to mention they sell & sold beer to these guys…

I’ve written a number of times about how there are some spots you just don’t review. It’s widely accepted by the community at large that certain places are just crappy and it doesn’t need to be pointed out. «Caleb T. reviewed The San Marcos City Dump Disgusting, a true cesspit filled with animal feces, rancid leftovers, and putrid sewage. It’s barely a step above Rimel’s.» And yet, here I am about to share my thoughts on Chuck E. Cheese, of all places. I’m sure if the powers that be knew I would write this today, I would not have been given the Review of the Day yesterday. Now, the food is terrible, that goes without saying; the pizza isn’t fit for the frozen section discount bin and the salad bar is dirty, filled with pre-chopped veggies from Walmart mixed bags. The live entertainment is practically nonexistent with televisions everywhere and a guy in a mouse costume that hands out dime candy every now and then. You would think the games are cheap, but when you have to pay $ 5.00 or more to get at least four tokens per dollar, the arcade starts to get pricey. And, to top it all off, even if you’re cheating horrifically at some of the games, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get the minimal amount of tickets per play. Seriously, the ball tossing game my son gravitated toward only gave two tickets unless you got 150+ points, a feat I could barely achieve by stuffing the plastic balls by hand into the top point hole. God, that sounds gross. So, if you want prizes, expect to pay upwards of $ 2.00 even for a crappy, plastic spider and $ 5.00 for pirate stickers. On the plus side of this transaction, you can just have your kid toss balls all day(you can do so even without paying a token) and then just pay at the counter for prizes at a penny a ticket. You’ll save yourself the aggravation and some cash on the side. Yeah, we spent four bucks to win 26 tickets to trade in for one plastic snake and then I just gave them two quarters to buy a couple more to make my son smile. But, that isn’t the real problem I wanted to mention. The security here is a joke, basically there only to make parents think that the establishment is spinning their wheels to keep kids safe. It basically consists of an attendant at the entrance stamping hands to make sure you’re leaving with the kid you came in with. This is good in theory, but when you mix in the fact that they are woefully understaffed(one girl was basically running back and forth between the prize counter and the door) and that all that separates kidnapping perverts and the outside is a simple, velvet rope, and you can see that Chuck E. Cheese is stopping nobody. Even if there were an attendant there from opening to closing, I don’t see them getting in the way of anyone if they actually wanted to leave with someone else’s kid. Now, I’m not trying to cause a panic or anything, I honestly am pretty trusting and know that such occurrences are rare and confined primarily to family members doing the kidnapping and not strangers. Plus, I keep an eye on my son as he plays(unlike the bulk of customers that are on the side drinking coffee while their five year old is across the building playing with the electrical sockets). Still, it does bother me that they’re being this transparently lackadaisical about their efforts at security. A man trap to get out wouldn’t hurt, maybe a few more people working to ensure that the entrance is always manned as well. Who am I kidding, though? This is Chuck E. Cheese, cheap is kind of implied. POPQUIZ: No one has been kidnapped from this Chuck E. Cheese because: A) The security is just that good. B) Kidnappings are a very rare occurrence, we haven’t been unlucky yet. C) C’mon, isn’t kidnapping from Chuck E. Cheese a little Lifetime movie-of-the-week cliché? D) Seriously, look at answer ‘C’. I’ve got some pride, you know…

Used to bring my kids here years ago. I was surprised at the remodel. It opened it up and looked brighter. Was sad to see the same old rides. I’m mean for real Barney. He isn’t on tv anymore. And no one young enough to ride the ride, knows who he is. But grand baby had an awesome birthday.

Went to the Oceanside location last night with my son and my nieces and nephews, we got there ordered our food pizza, wings, and drinks we waited over 45 minutes and our food still wasn’t ready even though there was only like 5 small family’s in the entire place, as soon as our pizza arrived we began to eat got then I got up to try and get a refill and the manager had turned off the soda machine when I got up to ask her if I could please get a refill she was supper rude her name was«PATSZI» and said«no I turned them off and will not turn it back on we are closed now«she was extremely rude and gave me the worst customer service ever, as I walked away back to my table, I turned my back and she was laughing at me with another associate being rude, in January I spent over 500 $ for my son 1st birthday party and we had a great time sadly this manager patzi made me so upset that I will no longer be coming to this location ever again, I hope you all have a better experience than I did there last night.

This place always seems to be under staffed. Was in here the other day for Baby’s 2nd birthday only because his favorite place closes early. Anyway’s took him to play a game that was not working. when we went to tell the girl upfront she simply said i’m not in charge of that. When we finally found the person«in charge». I wanted to ask«what are you in charge of because she could not even do simple math!!! when giving me change. yup they really need to take more time on training their staff.

Never Again !!! I have been to this location many many times. As a child myself and now as a mommy taking my own children. I have to say this place sucks!!! The first couple times I brought the kiddos here we had a great time and I overlooked small problems thinking they would be resolved but to my surprise nothing has changed and if anything the place Is on a quick and continuous downside. Let’s start off with employees. You can clearly tell none of the staff like there job and the managers hate their job even more, and if u have an issue don’t bother trying to get it resolved because you will just be looked and and told sorry there’s nothing we can do. Instead of a smile you are greeted with a smirk. When it’s time to do the chucke dance the one staff member that has to participate is clearly less than thrilled. The food is subpar, it’s cheap pizza some people love it some hate it. I don’t mind it but it could defiantly use improvement. I noticed a few times the black throngs they bring the pizza out on don’t always look that clean. At This location they serve beer. Well at least it looks like they do. They have 5 taps all with great beer, but do they actually have it in stock NO. So way deceiving there. The games are fun and only cost 1 token a game which is nice, but they don’t pay out a lot of tickets. The prize counter is a joke. You have to have a ridiculous amount of tickets to get anything but a piece of candy and if your child looses their prize even if it’s less than 2 minutes after getting it to bad they don’t care they would rather your child leave screaming and crying than happy. The bathrooms are not very clean and hey what happened to the animatronic chucke show ??? It’s been replaced with Tvs. Overall this place is crap. It’s too bad because my kids love chucke e cheese but I will never return to this location.

Worst customer service! Employees seem unhappy to work there. The shift manager was the worst!!! Definitely will drive further to go to a different location. My kids were picking out their prizes and she walked away from them when they weren’t even finished.

What happened to the«live show» with the«80s» style animatronics? Just having the mouse does no justice to my childhood memories way back when it was Showbiz Pizza Place. In fact, now that I think about it I’m sure I still have coins that state that very name and those horrendous pink/magenta colored tickets in a brown lunch bag. This place is almost lack luster to me now, I’m sure the beer on tap is the only form of sanity most parents find in this dull establishment. The mouse no longer makes his rounds visiting the whole floor and all patrons that are there, even if it’s just a one second passing by to test the waters of fear with your little ones first time visit. Nope he stays posted up in one spot, does his dance and song with another employee on hand I guess to keep unruly kids from touching the masked poor soul. If you’re a parent I’m sure you have heard this song and dance as they seem to push it quite often on children’s television or you could be someone that’s a kid at heart that’s happened to find themselves on these channels too. The salad bar is still there best feature food wise. Pizza is still with the paper thin crust and side of grease. I used to love their breadsticks back in the day. They were nothing special, very dry, almost a foot long piece of bread that paired great with the dipping sauces of marinara and ranch. Needless to say now their breadsticks are those puny things you get from order out pizza joints. Half-moon in shape maybe a serving of 8, and with cheese, MAN, CEC killed the only thing I had left to look forward to. Bring back my dry sticks with dipping sauce! Games and rides are all just one single token, but as the notion goes you pay for what you get. Better be seated and ready to go when that coin hits the slot, cause oh wait it’s over. And tickets, it seemed you averaged about 3. The prize counter, man I remember when this thing was massive, and kids used to line up with amazement at all the things you could ultimately save up and acquire. Its small selection leaves you better off venturing into the 99 cents store for a better bounty. Mr. C my days of you most likely have come to an end, but it’s been real, real sad to see that you have chased Helen Henny, Mr. Munch, Jasper T. Jowls, and Pasqually E. Pieplate off the stage and replaced it with a giant TV on loop and a ticket hurricane machine!

This was the quintessential place to have a party when I was growing up, I’ll admit to having at least 4 consecutive years of birthday parties here… but I wouldn’t throw nor recommend parties at this establishment to anyone now! Oi vey. The entire place just looks run down like it doesn’t get adequate maintenance or cleaning to keep it truly kid/family friendly. There are far less games and rides than I remember there once being… UPSIDE is that all games/rides cost 1 token HOWEVER all you or your child will get is a few brief moments(10 – 20 seconds) of «enjoyment» AND do NOT expect large ticket yields from games!(You’ll get 1 – 4 on a average, even if you pull a «high score»). The prize corner is a joke. Not only is it tiny, limiting the variety of prize options, but given that you don’t get many tickets out on the floor, it’s bogus how many tickets they ask for most items! BALLPITISNOMORE! Maybe thank goodness for that in the sense of hygiene BUT the entire climbing area/jungle gym is also super small! Not the intricate tube system that I remember once running along the ceiling of a majority of the building. I’m personally turned off by the whole«Do the Chuckie» dance kids are encouraged to do with the unfortunate soul dressed in the Chuckie suit. It’s seems a little exploitative to as my child to dance for a rat who will toss tickets out like beads on Mardi Gras; But hey, if that’s the only way for my kid to get more tickets to help him get a less cheesy, crap toy at the prize counter… You never go to Chuckie E Cheese for the food. So I shall leave it at that and make no further remakes with regard to the pizza. But they DID have my favorite drink, Manzanita Sol, in their drink dispenser, so for that I gifted the old Chuck’s Mouse House 2 stars instead of 1.

Had my son Wyatt’s sixth birthday here. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hostess and manager was great with the kids they all had an awesome time. Great prices especially given competitors prices. Highly recommend for A 3 – 7 year old bday party. Best part was no clean up and didn’t have to do anything they took care of it all. Good job chuck e cheeses… Good job. Pizza was good too!

The restrooms are always so dirty here plus they stink! Each time we come(about once a month) there are always more and more broken games. If this is what we see that’s wrong w/this Chuck E Cheese, than how is the kitchen ran? I wonder how often the machines are sanitized, too. Please, keep a clean restroom and fix all the broken games!

Pretty awesome service! They’ve also changed the video and music which is a good thing since we were here in Aug. 2013 and it would’ve overload hearing and watching the same music and videos.

I went here for a nephew’s birthday party. The kids judged it as a place to have fun and probably would give it five stars. I had a good time, though it was more frenetic than I would have liked; not really quality time. If I rate this as a restaurant, for the food and service, it’s a solid three stars. If you are an adult without kids and want a nice meal, don’t go here. That would be creepy.

I had my first and last party here. I will never book a party again. I felt very rushed even though I had to ask for my food 3 times I also had to keep asking for the kids drinks. The staff was not into the birthday show at all. I’m so disappointed with the experience. My guests noticed the bad service as well.

I would never have a birthday party at a Chuck E Cheese, again. The staff member took the presents out of my hands while coming into the facility, even though he was told that I was fine. I felt as though the staff was trying so hard to touch everything on the survey such as(did so-and-so greet you, did they have this, etc.) that they forgot that we were GUESTS. I felt SO rushed. They even lit the birthday candle while Dad was out grabbing something from the car, so he missed it all. I didn’t even get to take any photos of the birthday cake celebration. All of my guests even felt like we were rushed. Once the staff member came and moved everything WHILEWEWERESTILLEATING, I expected that the reserved area would be filled almost immediately after with a party. There were so many open tables, still. Okay, I understand that maybe it’s protocol, and they have to comply by the time that I reserved, but being that no one was seated after we were moved, they could have offered me an extension of time, maybe. The pizza was surprisingly good. I had no problem with that. The machines all cost one token, but a lot of them were not in operation by the time we were leaving. The kid check was also enforced really well.
