Terrible. I came in to have them try to recovery a document and the website says they close and nine and they closed at 6:30. All of the lights were on but there were no employees to be found. They all came out of hiding and told me they couldn’t help because they were closed.

First stop in the store was to get a Bluetooth mouse for a Christmas present. Second stop was to return the mouse they recommended because it wasn’t Bluetooth. Third stop was to return the Bluetooth mouse because it was defective. Stop #3 with tech-support was 90 minutes and didn’t resolve the issue. They had no others in stock either. And Microsoft home-office tech-support was going to take three weeks to get us a replacement.

Ok. not sure how I managed to remove ALL search engines from my computer… but I did. Hmmm… how do you surf the ‘net to load a browser without one? It is not easy. I called the Microsoft store to get an appointment and explained my problem and my obvious user error. Here is the great part, the Microsoft tech said«we may be able to quickly solve this right now». Sure enough, a few moments later I was fixed-up. The tech relayed how much he enjoyed working at the store both with retail and technical support. I have been in the Microsoft Store many times… the associates are always super helpful and super engaged. It is awesome to find someone who is passionate about their job, the products they sell AND to have a deep, depth of knowledge.

The Microsoft store at Penn Square Mall is fairly new. It’s the first Microsoft store I’ve ever been to and I was honestly pleasantly surprised & impressed with how nice it was. The décor itself is extremely inviting. Very Apple-esque but who isn’t trying to emulate Apple at this point? I certainly don’t fault them for it. This was right after the Surface Pro 3 was released so the store was loaded with dozens of SP3 to play with. I was greeted immediately and offered help. Although I wasn’t planning to talk to anyone, I ended up talking with a girl, who was extremely helpful & knowledgable, for quite a while. They’ve got several Xbox One consoles setup to play games as well. I like the store itself, the customer service and the products they have. The SP3 is absolute awesome sauce! Microsoft is not paying me to say this but I’m a network engineer so a good, solid, portable power-house is very appealing to me. Anyway, the only reason I haven’t given a full 5 stars is because I haven’t bought anything yet.
