We went in hoping for Chicago-style deep dish pizza. They don’t carry that here, apparently. I was confused by the name, I guess. But the pizza we did have was pretty good. We had the«pizza bar» and a salad each for $ 8.49. Not too shabby. The Stromboli/Calizone thing was yummy. But honestly, for a pizza buffet, next time I will just go to Mazzio’s next time and enjoy their big salad bar and more pizza variety.

I found the food at this Old Chicago to be surprisingly average(meh), as well as the service. While the location is in a prime shopping area of Oklahoma City and a good place to stop in for a bite, the confines itself is a bit tight at many of the tables, as well as somewhat dirty in some ways. While I ordered a basic pepperoni & sausage pizza with beer, I found that the draft beer was the most satisfying. The pizza? I bit rubbery, yet edible. Due to not eating for most of the day, I didn’t want to send the pizza back for an additional 15 minutes to sit under the hot lamp or in an oven superficially. It wasn’t terrible, yet not the very best either. No matter. The beer made up for it. Service could’ve been better. The server was friendly, yet here & there, without checking on me too much to see if I wanted an additional beer until I just lost the appetite for it. Waiting 10 minutes to receive a check? C’mon, man. Gotta get better than that. Yet another ho hum experience at a so-so Old Chicago. ***Sigh***

I have always loved Old Chicago but… It’s not the same. This location on SE29th is a clean location. I had pizza(pepperoni dry & crust a little burnt) but it was good, my husband had the calzone(he said was ok) and our daughter had chicken salad(she loved). Even though it was late afternoon & the dining room was not real busy it was noisy with kids. Usually we love to sit in the bar area but at this location you can’t because it is ALL smoking. The cigarette smoke comes out through the doors when they are opened. I had the misfortune of walking by as the door was opening. Cough, cough, cough. **Update: I decided to add stars because: The bathroom had seat covers which is un heard of in OKC. And there were NO flies in the dining room!

Too many surprises. They don’t post drink prices. Was charged $ 5 for a ginger ale. Here is the response from the manager: «We are a national chain and the beverage books are printed for all Old Chicago restaurants to use. The pricing for all beverages varies from market to market. I am sorry that we do not list every price for all our beverages.» So, food prices are the same nationwide?

Food is always yummy and comes out fast! The place is a nice interesting atmosphere, the servers are a bit of space cadets sometimes but oh well. Not too shabby!

I use to like Old Chicago a lot but just this year the place has went downhill. One evening I was eating in the bar area and suddenly a few bugs were crawling around on the table. The staff was amazing about it though. They gave us the food for free and definitely apologized for it. Ever since then it just gross me out about the bugs being there.

really? chicago should come down here and kick their ass for slandering their good pizza name. Service sucked. But worst of all — they were out out of 4 of the 6 beers i wanted to try on their list.

I enjoy the Italian nachos. However even the half order is huge for me, so I have to be very hungry. The pomegranate sparkler is also quite good and refreshing. The waiter kept the drinks refilled as we ate and even as we visited.

This place has a special place in my heart. I’ve had some pretty special moments with someone very special at Old Chicago… but I’m not just giving it five stars for that. The pizza(especially the Chicago 7) is fuckin’ deliciousness. The Italian Nachos and the Sicilian Pepperoni Rolls are totally yum. The beer specials make me happy happy happy… especially the«SBM» the strong beer of the month that was $ 2 for a pint and the happy hour snacks are a great deal. I don’t know what Chicago pizza tastes like and I really don’t care… the pizza here is great. The crust on the«thin» is perfect… not really thin though. It’s crunchy on the bottom but still has some thickness to it. This location’s bar allows smoking. After a long day of having your butt kicked, kicking back and drinking a few beers, smoking a few ciggies and having great food is very, very therapeutic. There also is trivia on Wednesday nights… and the girl that ran it the first week in June(not sure if she’s the regular girl) is fucking awesome. So… for a good time, go to Old Chicago. :)

Best Chicago style pizza in town. I’ve had pizza in New York City and in Chicago so I’m fairly informed. It’s not true Chicago pie style, but I personally like this better than the deep Chicago pies. It’s definitely not New York style, so don’t come here if you don’t like deep dish. Of the three places in town I like this location best. The manager here, Cameron, seems to really care, and the food/service/atmosphere seems to be better too.

Yeah, giving a chain a four star is something I try not to do often. Here’s the deal. I love their wings and their blue cheese dressing. Give me a calzone with pepperoni and green olives along side the wings and we’re doing great. Let me feed my entire family for under $ 10 a person and I walk out feeling like I got a good deal. The beer choices are pretty dang good. They even have Coop’s DNR waiting for you on the tap. I often crave this place. I frequently give in.

You could do far worse for lunch in this part of town, though like any chain, it’s going to be lowest-common-denominator fare. Service is usually very good, they are solid about getting you in and out at lunch, and they do the basics right. You can manage the bill if you look at what’s on special that day, usually discounted quite a bit. I should mention that this is absolutely not true Chicago style pizza; in fact, it’s not even a chain interpretation of Chicago style pizza a la Uno or somewhere like that. It’s Chicago-style in the way that the major delivery pizza chains do «deep dish.» Just go in with your eyes open and you should be able to avoid authenticity rage. Oh, and those who are interested in eating healthily should probably not even stand downwind. But they probably already knew that.

Ok, I’ve been to this old Chicago a time or two. The pizza has gone from pretty darn good to just ok. The burgers were ok by my sons account. All in all, there are better places to go for what ever you are looking for. But if you are looking for a place that does everything just OK, this might be the place for you

3 because of the service. The servers and other staff here are great! I don’t recommend the pizza however unless you are looking for a heart attack on a plate(this must be an Oklahoma thing). It was beyond greasy. My wife used FOUR napkins to sop some up and it still dripped as she ate it. Atmosphere here is nice. Tv’s everywhere for game days. Appetizer specials were reasonable. If I go back, I’ll try a different entrée.

I ate here and was very pleased with the service. However, I was extremely disappointed with the pizza. I got the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom on chicago style crust. I hated the sausage. There was hardly any sauce on my pizza and the crust was so incredibly greasy. It was even greasier than pizza hut crust. Also, there just wasn’t much flavor to the pizza. I would much rather have dominos. I won’t be back for their pizza.

Old Chicago has great food, don’t get me wrong. But I’ve BEEN to Chicago, and I’ve HAD Authentic Chicago-style pizza. This place does NOT have real Chicago-style pizza, at all. However, what they lack in authenticity, they make up for it by havign really delicious food. Don’t expect authentic, but do expect delicious.
