A number of the reviews for this Dunkin’ Donuts are referring to the wrong location. This Unilocal page is referring to the Dunkin’ Donuts at 1635 Boston Post Road, which is on the corner of Boston Post Road and Route 166. The reviews referring to this as a «gas station» Dunkin’ Donuts are talking about the on at 198 Essex Rd in Westbrook, CT – an entirely different town! The review talking about«bikers» and some of the photos that someone posted are referring to the Dunkin’ Donuts at 744 Boston Post Road, which is down the street. This is the nicest Dunkin’ Donuts in town, but it has its drawbacks: it is not open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the parking lot is not very handy. Nevertheless, it is very pleasant to sit inside of and the chairs are very comfortable.

When I was station aboard one of the submarine here in Groton. My would alway go to Dunkin’ Donuts to get coffee for people on duty. Its because it also cold and we needed something to keep us awake at night hew on the Thames River.

A Donkin’ Donuts easily assessable right off route 1. One of the things I look for in a donut place is easy on and easy off without going miles out of your way. The only problem is the rather small driveway with cars entering and existing from every possible direction. The food and coffee is always fresh since this place is definitely high volume. It is usually quite crowded, especially on the weekend, but staff seem almost automated and move extraordinary quickly. Not particular friendly or polite but certainly efficient.

The people who work here seem to have come out of some kind of Dunkin Donuts customer service spaceship. We were greeted, orders placed, read back to us and supplied in about 2.5 minutes. It is a new location so has that whole pink/orange scheme.

Westbrook, a town of 5,000 people, has no less than THREE Dunkin’ Donuts in a three mile radius(Technically, this location is in Old Saybrook, but it’s barely over the border, and has a 399 prefixed phone number, so I’m counting it for us). I love my coffee as much as the next gal, but come on, it’s a wee bit ridiculous. That said, out of the three, this is the best location. I’ve found the service here to be faster. This is also the only location that offers the new expanded menu, with flatbread sandwiches and hash browns and pizzas and other tempting artery-clogging items. Be careful in the parking lot — it’s an odd layout, with traffic coming in from both entrance/exits, and people tend not to look when they back out of spaces.
