Solid place. Fresh sushi and nice people. Won’t change your world view of food and you’ll leave satisfied.

I’ll admit that this was the first place that I have tried sushi, but it is excellent! My favorite is the Double D or the Alaska Roll. My son and I have since been going every week, Tuesday nights, naming it Tusushi night! If your in town or looking for a new experience check it out!

Time for an update, fellow Gaijins! After 20+ years doing business in Japan, a walk through the Koibito door still takes me, sentimentally, right back there. The polite greeting. The service of a beer then hot sake. A prompt and hot served meal. The mama-san(who wore a wonderful fragrance, by the way) to check up on my meal. I was back in my «second home», if for only an hour. Thank you, Koibito, for giving an old man a trip back to old friends in my heart.

We were very disappointed with our visit to this location of Koibito. We have been frequent customers of the other Koibito locations, so we hoped and expected this to be the same quality. Unfortunately, we were wrong. Both of the two meals we ordered came differently from what we expected. We waited for the waitress to come back to check on us so we could let her know, but she didn’t show up. After twenty minutes of waiting for her, I had to go to the front counter and find someone to talk to. I showed them the menu and pointed out that what was on the menu was not what we wanted. She kept insisting that they gave us the right food, which is what THEY intended the meal to be, but not what the menu said and not what WE wanted! They have a new menu, and it is full of errors and typos. Some of these errors are so obvious, that«Chicken Katsu» is described as «a Pork tenderloin». So which thing are you ordering, Chicken or Pork?! Good luck figuring it out. Finally when I kept telling the staff we did not get the food we wanted, she said«you get what you want, next time.» Sorry, there won’t be a «next time», so I guess we will never get what we wanted from West Olympia Koibito.

We feel very fortunate to live close. Every time we’ve been there has been outstanding. Services prompt, food is fresh, prices are reasonable.

Love Koibito and this location! A favorite spot for my wife and for impromptu dates since returning to west Oly! The dragon roll and West Coast roll are amazing.

The sushi was good but not great. I had the sushi for to-go and it wasn’t very fun, I didn’t know which rolls were mine because my family and I had ordered our rolls and the men who made the sushi put to rolls together making things a lot more confusing, and the miso soup was really hot and the tofu wasn’t cooked properly, I waited 10mins for the food but the soup should be at a good temperature, I nearly burned my tongue. Most likely not to go there as much.

Their sushi is delicious but the service is horrible! Slow and rude w/no water refills or clearing of finished dishes. There are other places in Olympia that serve great sushi with good customer service for the same price. I do like that the meals come with miso soup and salad(with romaine lettuce and not iceberg) but we probably won’t be back.

We are regulars here. Live near by and love the selection of sushi rolls. The staff is really friendly and consistent. Some of the sushi makers are hit or miss. 90% of the time our rolls are perfect but we have went in a couple of times and the rolls fell apart.

I always appreciate family owned businesses. My in-laws are in the area so I come to town every now and then and always make a stop at Koibito on Harrison Ave. There are several Koibito Sushi restaurants within an hour distance but be warned, they are not all under the same ownership. Each Koibito is a different owner as far as I am aware. Koibito likes to stay up to date with flavors and restaurant environments. They have had several minor but pleasing interior changes over time. They now also have one of my favorite Lemon Roll. Their udon is also delicious! When the restaurant gets busy, the service could appear to be slow but please be patient as they seem to be trying their best to tend to all the customers’ needs. It is not always common to have many waitresses with family owned businesses like this one. There are some complaints about the waitresses and them not tending to customers but sometimes all it takes is to literally make eye-contact or ask. There are so many impatient, self-centered customers these days that they act like this is their restaurant and they need to be treated like kings and queens. These kind of customers disgust me. I agree that customer service is absolutely key but I can see that they are really trying. All in all, they have tasty and fresh sashimi. My favorites are salmon, tuna, white tuna and unagi. Their pricing is also very reasonable and you definitely get your bang for your buck. I love Koibito sushi! Just drop by and try for yourself!

Not my favorite place for sushi, but it is the closest place to my house. The sushi is fresh and that is why I keep coming back. But there is no wow factor

This place is amazing! I have sampled several rolls and everyone has been excellent. I highly recommend the tempura calamari, it is hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. The Olympia roll is one of my favorites too. The service is ok and prices are good, really can’t be beat! PS the miso soup is good enough to want a gallon to bring home!

Good sushi at reasonable prices. Their Lacey location is cheaper and better, but for sushi in Olympia they can’t be beat. Definitely worth sitting down at some time, I go here pretty often.

Sitting waiting 30min for my order that said it’d be done in 10! The sushi is NOT worth the wait. Would have gone elsewhere!!!

Came here for lunch and got a roll that was part of their lunch special. It had mango on top which was pretty tasty. Sushi and prices were fine and average.

Went there to have a birthday dinner for my daughter and her husband and the three grandchildren, very disappointed. Service was extremely slow, waitress thought it was more important to stay in the kitchen instead of checking on our needs. Sushi came out first for three people but the food for me and my two grand children showed up later cold and was completely not worth eating. Place was not clean, was more like eating in a soup kitchen. And from the outside of the building you could see showed no pride of their business. I left disappointed and did not say anything to the owner or manger as I did not want to spoil my daughter’s birthday. I also saw food being prepare on a dirty surface. Will never go their again
