We were stuck in traffic, starving, pull off freeway and felt like having teriyaki chicken. Saw this place and went in. 1. One woman show, was on phone and didn’t bother to greet us, than I told her two for lunch, she replied; «Your first time here?!», you order here at counter! My thought was to turn around and leave, she was loud and rude since the place was empty, that was my warning sign. 2. We order lunch/chicken teriyaki: chicken was pre-made dried, not freshly grilled or seared like some other places… Herd the wok were she stir fried quicky vegetable and got steam rice out of rice cooker. We also got bubble tea, watery sugar syrup, yucky and gross… I know some Mexicans that can cook better than her! Teriyaki sauce was in a soy sauce bottle at the table… lol! What a joke, worse $ 20bucks I ever spent!

The food is cheap and decent. The teriyaki lunch special at $ 4.50 is a lot of food — chicken, rice(not consistent quality) and grilled veggies. The lady isn’t super nice. The service probably sucks(I get takeout). But I keep going there. It’s close to my house and cheap as hell. Can’t beat that.

Not Closed — but should be. I stopped in for the lunch speacial as I was at Men’s Warehouse. I have eaten here before and the woman behind the counter has never been especially friendly. I believe she is working by herself. I waiting 15 minutes for a Chicken Teryaki lunch special. When I got it the rice was mush. It literally tasted like sand in my mouth. The vegetables were brown/limp/and tasteless. Both the Ssticky rice and the veges had to be from at least the day before, if not older. The chicken was dry and burnt. I took a couple of bites and then took the plate back to the till. I tried to explain to the woman how bad the plate of food was but she insisted that thats how sticky rice is… in the end she didn’t even refund my money for the plate of unedible food. There are tons of great teryaki restaurants in Olympia, don’t waste your time with this one.

I felt like I was wasting the owner’s time when I ordered my food… I have been here a few times simply because it is cheap food, but every time I get the same attitude… she is rude and I will not be returning.

They are not closed as the banner suggests. They are next to the Men’s Wearhouse in West Olympia on Cooper Point Rd. They have an all day chicken teriyaki special for $ 4.49. I ate there once and had the chicken teriyaki with an egg roll. The chicken was more charred than I would have liked and the teriyaki sauce was cold and simply poured over the cut up chicken. It should have been an indicator of their food quality that at noon on a weekday the place was nearly empty. I have been having trouble finding a really good place for Chinese in Olympia. This place is inexpensive and they do sell beer, so that’s a plus. However, I think I will have to search some more for a good place for teriyaki.
