Love this place. I’m allergic to shellfish, but have never had an issue getting sick. Very clean place, nice atmosphere, great food, and friendly waitresses. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience here. Food was wonderful and service was supreme! Our waitress was very friendly and steered us to a yummy sake. I suspect this will be a frequent place to visit in my future!

I’m currently interviewing for a job in Olympia. One of my criteria in a new place to live is the quality of the restaurants, so I came here on the advice of my hotel to check it out. The décor is nice. However, my sushi experience was decidedly mixed. The nigiri was okay, but I’ve had far better salmon and tamago. However, the Hawaiian Roll was excellent. What really annoyed me was the service. I went early, and there weren’t very many people in the place. Not once was my water refilled, nor was my tea checked to see if I needed more. I rarely leave less than a 20% tip, but I did this time. When the food is bad, it’s the fault of the chef. The food is okay there. When the service is bad, it’s the fault of the manager for not getting and hiring more staff, or of the server for being lackadaisical. I was not impressed. Would I go back? Maybe. But I’m going to try a couple of the other sushi places in town first.

The husband and I visited here with group of friends, while in Olympia Washington. I was jonesing for some sushi, so I found this spot on Unilocal.It was a very impromptu stop in with a large group. The staff was very kind and accommodated us fairly quickly for such a large group.
I was skeptical about going for sushi in a small town like Olympia. To my surprise it was actually pretty decent. Fairly plain, but good. The crispy avocado appetizer was pretty tasty.

I’m not from Washington but I ate here this past weekend while on a trip. It’s a cute place and we sat on the tables that appear like you’re sitting on the ground, but it’s just like sitting in a chair with your legs and feet dangling below!
I ordered an agedashi tofu for an appetizer that got lost amongst all the other orders so I never got it, but we were never charged for it on our bill at the end and I was really full anyways! I ordered the chirashi donburi, which is an assortment of sashimi fish on sushi rice. We also ordered the Choya plum wine with our dinner.
The one thing that bothered me a little was that when we were ordering nigiri sushi, majority of the ones we wanted were out, so we were picking our 4^th and 5^th choices for sushi. It seemed a little odd that it wasn’t brought to our attention in the beginning that they were sold out of a lot of items. But overall, I thought that the dining experience was good and the quality of the food we were brought was good also.

Great atmosphere, great sushi. Very fresh ingredients and excellent chefs. One of our favorite places to eat when headed up to Seattle.

Came here for my daughters 7^th birthday. It came highly recommended by a coworker. She told us they had the traditional seating, and I thought it would be fun to sit there since my daughter loves all things Japanese. When we got there I asked to sit up there and the waitress said it was closed for lunch. No big deal the food was DELICIOUS! Unfortunately right before we left they sat a mother daughter in the traditional seating! Lame! Good food, but lame service.

Awesome place for sushi!!! The place was packed and had to wait a few minutes, but well worth the wait. The service was great and the food was excellent! I will be back.

Being new to the area this is the third sushi restaurant I’ve tried with great ratings on Unilocal,and it stands out as the best of the three. My fiancée and I ordered three rolls to share, and ended up trying the deep fried Twinkie for dessert. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. One roll had raw tuna and salmon draped over the top and it melted like butter in my mouth. The service was friendly, the prices were reasonable, the presentation was stunning, and the atmosphere was just right. If I returned again I would request one of the rear tables where you can sit directly on the floor, as it looked like a unique dining experience. I’d also recommend arriving before six on Friday night, as there was a substantial crowd waiting for a table by the time we left.

I’ve never eaten unicorn, but it probably isn’t nearly as good as anything on your menu.

Went to Sushi House for lunch today. (Saturday around 1:30pm). It wasn’t too crowded, maybe 3 – 4 other tables occupied when we arrived.
The food was delicious! We ordered multiple roles & shared. I docked one star for lack of attentiveness of our waitress. It wasn’t incredibly busy, and we didn’t get checked on often.
Tip: eat the tempura Twinkie. It’s amazing

I have been a loyal customer for 5 years but unfortunately have to cut the tide. I ordered $ 59.00 worth of sushi to take out and find out rice was undercooked. What a waste a great quality of pieces of nigri without properly cooked rice. This is the second time it has happened and I will have to say good buy to this place. Nobody wants to have half uncooked rice on bottom of the art of sushi

Amazing food and great service. We came here for my daughters 14^th bday and she was in love from the minute we walked through the door. We will definitely be back time and time again

Sushi house never disappoints. 3 years coming here for consistent quality and delicious rolls. My #1 place in Olympia. You can’t go wrong here.

Delicious, fresh, high quality fish. This is the place to go if you want simple, high quality nigiri sushi. None of their rolls really excited me, although the stand out was their tempura avocado with a spicy sauce — that was really delicious!
I normally order their salmon nigiri, avocado tempura, and a salmon shiso roll. Pure quality and simply delicious.
The interior isn’t really reflective of the high quality of the fish, although there is a private room with legit old school seating where you sit on your knees.
Parking is out back in a private lot, and while there aren’t too many spaces, I’ve never had a problem finding parking.

Awesome sushi fresh and beautiful rolls with great flavor and nothing is bland like the other sushi places ive been to around Olympia/​Lacey!

We always get the Rockstar roll. We got it with salmon once but we’re disappointed. The lobster makes the roll. It’s amazing!

My hubby and I get three specialty rolls and are properly full. (No apps, sometimes get an IPA to drink).
