Had a great dinner in a lovely setting. Everything was delicious, from the risotto appetizer to the lamb or scallops. Even the tiramisu was one of the best I have had.

Food is outstanding. Had two appetizers duck and foi gras. Wonderful. Beet salad and goat cheese perfect. Somewhat limited choices on entrees and only one special. Unfortunately service was the issue. We were sat down and no one approached us for at least 15 minutes and then she flew by with I will be with you shortly and then got tied up for another fifteen minutes at another table opening their wine and taking order mean while no water bread or drinks. My view is this restaurant wants to be considered top of class but is short staffed and no layers of staff so if your server is busy and ours was over stretched no one brings you water or pays any attention to you. If I sit down at a restaurant at this level of fine dining I expect to be asked about drinks and water within five minutes. Also it was not full with many tables empty. Food excellent service poor

Tried to eat here last night, had no success. Our group of 6 put our name on the waiting list at about 8 pm after the first hostess politely explained they were all booked up for reservations. No problem. With the restaurant’s final seating at 9 pm, we thought we’d chance it, especially as there were 10 tables empty. The waiting list wasn’t bad, about 3 – 4 small parties above us. At about 8:15, as we waited, standing near the bar or out in the hallway(a couple chairs for waiting guests were taken), a brave member of our party asked why the tables were empty when they had full reservations and a waiting list. A new host, who looked rushed and harried, brushed her off by telling her those tables were either booked for later or had just left. With their final seating at 9 pm, something seemed fishy to me. I was admittedly getting hangry after last eating in the morning and some snowshoeing and I would have eaten the bar tray. As we waited, the host told a coworker he thought he could manage to seat everyone soon. He did seat the couple waiting in the chairs after apologizing to them for their wait. No other parties were seated that I saw. But at about 8:40, the even more harried host explained to all waiting that the Chef had decided to not accept any more tables so as to control the food flow and ensure all customers had an excellent experience. If they couldn’t provide excellent service, he went on, they would rather not seat customers. I’ve spent years waitressing in highbrow and casual restaurants alike, and this was a surprise first for me, but okay! Our group split up at that point, a few trying valiantly to order from the bar, but my fiancé and I went back to our room and ordered room service courtesy Sweet Potatoes Deli, which I can say, made an awesome Cobb salad with plentiful bacon and bleu cheese plus a perfectly cooked grilled chicken breast to add on. Thanks, Sweet P., you’re a peach!

Stayed at Resort and got take out because we were exhausted from a day of skiing. Staff very accommodating when we forgot to take one item. Duck with cocoa nibs and lingonberries prepared perfectly, squash soup rich but good, and caesar salad very fresh.

It’s probably one of the finer restaurants around, but the quality difference does not justify the cost difference. Unfortunately, they have the market cornered for a place with ambiance. Service was good, and the menu was mostly seasonal and local, it just cost a bit too much for what you got. With some healthy competition, there’s no way they’d get away with it.

Experience definitely not worth the size of the check: Server was very nice, but: 1. food took way too long to arrive(not a complicated order, including 3 kids meal burgers) 2. had to send significantly undercooked meat back twice(in any high end restaurant, which this place is attempting to be, my meal would have been comped) Won’t be back.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the appetizers. The service was friendly and the wait staff were really attentive. However, the pork was underdone and the lobster caused an allergic reaction to my daughter. The entrees were a bit over priced considering they did not come with sides.

Get ready to open your wallet! Now that that’s out-of-the-way, very good food and super convenient if you’re staying at the Resort at Squaw Creek. Obviously, it’s their main attraction restaurant. Nice ambience, yet casual.

I booked a dinner reservation last weekend through Unilocal and was an hour late. The staff was very accommodating and got us a seat next to the window where you could see the firepit. It was a very nice setup for a romantic dinner or for special celebrations. The room has high ceilings and a glass wall window where you could enjoy the mountain view. The food is exceptional. We ordered the 21-day age rib-eye with caramelized Cipollini jus, the fish special Seabass with Spanish rice, truffle potatoe mouselline, and Del Rio greens. Everything cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the apple turnover fritter with bourbon caramel ice cream. Over all great service, great food!

Took 3 hours to get through our very average meal. Fillet was overcooked… Lobster overcooked Risotto undercooked Old fashioned had way to much sugar in it Our server was very prompt and courteous… Went out of his way to take care of us. Just wish the food was on par with the service. Disappointing considering the prices.

Top notch food and service. Dined on Saturday evening and enjoyed a cheese platter, soup, and filet and lobster. Every detail was outstanding and I highly recommend Six Peaks.

Wow… Amazing customer service and great food made this restaurant truly enjoyable! The Filet Mignon was savory and juicy and the salad was so fresh, which you could tell by the taste of the greens. Still in awe! :)

Please don’t waste your time or money here. 2 hrs 20 minutes from the time we ordered until the first entrée hit the table, 1 hr 10 mins before the first appetizer/salads hit the table. The $ 35 aged 21 days ribeye tasted more like a cheap piece of jerky from the local save a lot. Incredible resort/horrible restaurant

Okay; so my Ba Ba and I went to Manzanitas a month ago. High end, zagat rated and allegedly«the best restaurant in Tahoe.» Correction: Six Peaks is THE best restaurant in Tahoe, and luckily for me, my Ba Ba owns a condo there, so when we want a quick getaway, I’m AT the best restaurant in Tahoe, in flip flops and a sundress; now beat that! Impeccable service(thank you Tanaeka) and the best food that I’ve had since moving to California in 2007. Being a country gal, you KNOW I loves me some fried green Tomatoes! Yes they did! With soft butter lettuce, prosciutto and chèvre cheese that just melted on my palate like butter baby! We dined at exception of the Bourban tasting. Sazerac was better than the Ritz Carlton, that’s all I’m saying. So, when in Tahoe, pass Truckee and drive straight to Squaw Valley Resort and Spa. Spend an hour with Sarah for a telepathic and empathic massage for some soul-soothing, then head straight upstairs to the left to satisfy your palate at Six Peaks. You will not be disappointed. Value and quality? Done. You get your money’s worth and your time back. March ahead!

Walking into Six Peaks, I was immediately blown away by the views. Our meal was chocked full of variety and certainly even exceeded the mountain-scapes outside. I highly suggest the cream filled donuts with berry sauce made to order for dessert. The service was outstanding with a visit from the Manager stopping by our table.

We stayed at the Resort at Squaw Creek, and went to Six Peaks one night for a nice meal. Overall, we were very impressed! The food was excellent, and the wine was surprisingly affordable for the area(plenty of bottles in the $ 40-$ 60 range). We ended up each getting a cocktail instead, as the list of libations looked intriguing. Upon asking our waitress for recommendations, she suggested the beet salad and goat cheese, which we were VERY glad we tried. We agreed that the goat cheese was some of the best we’ve ever had, and the texture with the beets was perfect.(My boyfriend isn’t generally a beets fan and he loved it!) We tried the Charcuterie as well, which was also great. I discovered that I’m not a big fan of pâté, but there were so many other delicious things to try that I didn’t mind a bit. There was great variety, and we both loved it! For our meal, we both had steaks(his was a surf and turf) that were very tender and cooked just as we’d hoped. The side of spinach was enough for both of us(especially considering all of the other food), and by the time we finished, we were stuffed! Somehow, we thought we could stomach a shared 3-scoop sorbet plate that we probably should have passed on. Next time, I’ll go for s’mores by the fire, if I’m even still hungry! For two people, a shared salad, app, 2 cocktails, 2 entrees and a dessert, we were right at $ 200 with tip.(Like I said, this was a special dinner for us, so we splurged a bit.) Our only complaint was that we were seated next to a family with several small children(aged between 4 — 8 would be my guess) who were not being managed or watched at all. As it grew later, the kids grew restless and began running around the table, climbing on the bench and stepping all over my boyfriend’s dress coat.(He moved it when he noticed.) Don’t get me wrong, we like kids well enough… While we very much enjoyed the meal itself, the behavior did kind of kill the ambiance of a nice dinner for us. I’m not sure how much the restaurant can do about that, so I’m not docking them any stars… but it would’ve been nice if the parents had either managed the kids or found an activity(coloring?) that would have kept them busy at the table. I’m not sure that this is the place to bring them in the evening if they get that unruly.

Overall the food was good. The menu is like a fancy steakhouse and priced similarly, but without the service. For example, the pork chop was $ 30, but comes with no vegetable or starch. These must be purchased separately. The entrees took forever to come out of the kitchen, and kept us and our kids waiting too long.

Food is just decent but overpriced, expensive mostly because of the view. Porkchop: the best porkchop I’ve ever ate. It’s juicy, tender and full of flavor. Surf and turf: For $ 55, they only give you ½ of lobster and a small piece of filet mignon. Presentation: good. Service: great View: Nice, you can see the view of the mountains and the Squaw Valley Resort

After a day of hiking, we wanted to stay in to eat. There were not too many options at the SquawCreek resort. So we opted to Six Peaks Grill. To our surprise the food was phenomenal! Our favorite dish there was the lobster poach with butter. On the side of the root vegetables with spinach. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
