If you want fantastic nitro brew, lattes, or home brewed chai, Archetype is the place to go in Omaha. Isaiah and his crew are fantastically welcoming, and so very knowledgable about their trade. Archetype is simple and bright on the inside, a nice place to clear your head and focus on the work in front of you. Their patio is perfect for sipping coffee with your pup next to you. They pick up fresh made pastries every morning, so though they are limited in number, they are definitely a wonderful morning snack.

Hands down, the best Chai Tea Latte in Omaha. This coffee shop is fabulous, friendly and welcoming. Donut Fridays are the best and have become part of my weekly routine. Oh! And they always have some great records spinning. The baristas are pleasant, helpful and kind and take pride in the drinks they’re creating. I feel like coffee/tea is always better when made with love. If you’re looking for a place to relax and drink your coffee, stop by Archetype and enjoy the peacefulness that surrounds the Blackstone District in the morning.(OR take it to go!!)

Has everyone said before me that the coffee here is amazing. They are also very quick and serving it, but there isn’t a comfortable place to sit really. Would definitely recommend you stop by and grab coffee to go.

Delicious coffee offered up in a relaxed easy-on-the-eyes environment by handsome bearded baristas. I loved it and would go back. Bought coffee ground to keep as a souvenir

Love this coffee shop in the Blackstone District! I’ve visited this shop numerous times and am always so impressed. The décor is sleek and timeless. The staff are very friendly and extremely courteous(patient while I scoped out their other items for sale). The cold brew in the summer is AMAZING! Today I tried the cappuccino for the first time and it was delicious. They have a small cart to the side for you to add cream and sugar if you so desire. I appreciate that they’ve switched to a liquid sugar which will make it much easier to stir into my cold brews this summer. I usually come on Sunday mornings and quickly grab my coffee to go. Their cups are so cute! They have a unique design which I love to show when someone has asked where I’ve gone for coffee. They have fresh croissants and other pastries which pair excellently with their coffees. They also have small bites of chocolate in case you have a sweet tooth. :) It was busy this Saturday morning, but I was still in and out in just a few minutes. Great prices for high quality brews. Awesome business and an excellent addition to town!

Archetype is where it’s at. I have been to almost every coffee shop in omaha and archetype hands down is the best. It has a great mid century vibe and they take their coffee very seriously. I am a huge fan of the americano and their chai tea. Another major plus for me is the fact that they have almond milk.

Great place to stop while in Omaha. It was a refreshing find among the conventional chains and farm lands. I would have bought a bag of coffee but they were a bit high at $ 16 for 1⁄5 pound. Very trendy, great coffee and nice vibe.

Really a 4.5 due to atmosphere, but this place has the best coffee in Omaha which gets it to a full 5-stars. The baristas are always helpful. The coffee-shop is usually a bit loud due to them preparing their own beans and some chairs lack backs making them uncomfortable. This is not the best place for your last minute cramfest for an exam, but good enough for meeting a few friends for a short bit and enjoying a cup of very good coffee. The cold brew on the nitro tap is really unique and worth trying. Parking around here is a bit of a pain(especially with the meters in Blackstone now). Their baked goods are quite good(I tried some kind of banana chocolate pie item — delicious)

Very pleasant, hipster atmosphere. The barista started talking about college and my hometown in Chattanooga. When I asked about coffee, he was very knowledgeable. The coffee, a bit strong for me, but delicious. Next time, will bring the shots down a bit. Totally coming back!!!

Driving through Omaha looking for a place to get an exceptional cup of coffee for the road. Came across Archetype Coffee and I have to say it was definitely exceptional! Owner was working behind the bar creating drinks that were delish. The man who rang us up gave great service and the ambiance was chill and eclectic. If your visiting or live there make sure to check this place out!

Coffee is delicious… it is crazy hipster though. Husband and I are both in our 20’s and artistic people… and we felt so out of place because of how hipster it is. Very simple inside… extremely simple menu. If you’re big into sugary starbucks drinks with fun names… this isn’t the place for you. Best latte I’ve ever had, but be prepared it is on the pricey side if you’re used to getting cheap coffee. They do latte art too… which is fun!

This has become my favorite coffee spot in town. Archetype is just all around good with prices moderate to expensive. They have a great covered patio out front and there is always interesting vinyl playing. The interior of the space has a modern clean look and has a somewhat hipster vibe. I usually get cold brew and most recently I had the nitro cold brew, which is the newest thing in coffee shops around here, but it was excellent if you like cold brew but a little on the pricey side. I have also have had their drip coffee which is around 3 bucks and made from their own roasted beans which I really appreciate. its pretty clear they really care about their craft. The only draw back is I am not a big fan of the seating(actually the metal seats) i am not a small person and find the seats a tad uncomfortable.

Went here for my first time today while trying to pass time between two appointments. The shop was relatively filled, and I witnessed an interview out on the covered(thank you! #palegirlproblems) patio! From the start of transaction to receiving my drink, the *basic white girl* vanilla latte took less than three minutes(and time is everything to my impatient self). The large latte itself cost $ 4.75 + $ 0.50 for vanilla. The guys working behind the counter were really friendly and knew other customers names following me. It definitely has an awesome community feeling, and is also very welcoming. I am looking to trying a muffin and a different drink next time(even though the latte was PERFECT). I’m looking forward to walking up here on a Saturday morning with the cooler weather approaching to get a warm cup of caffeine. Great addition to Blackstone!

Did Omaha need another hipster coffee shop? I mean, how many can this city actually support? It doesn’t seem like any have gone out of business yet there are several new ones each year I visit. This is pretty hipster. It’s like an art gallery, with its mix of white and brick walls, wood floors and atmospheric music, but you’re surrounded by tables and the sound of coffee grinding. I just came in to work, which seemed to be the consensus among other patrons. But the coffee was quite good. I was impressed. Expensive though? Pretty much, but not ridiculous. I think my drip coffee was close to $ 3. But the wifi worked well, the place was very chill and the staff were nice. Downside is the 2-hour limit on parking on the street.

Very clean, open and simple décor, no frills or extras here. Along the lines of simple, the menu is also simplistic, with 5-ish options for take out or drink in. Wifi included and lots of seating! Service was great, the barista was such a gentleman, shirt and tie no less. Not a big coffee lover so the specialness of the brews here are lost on my non-attuned tongue but he did make me a great mint iced tea. Would recommend and add to my list of independent coffee houses here in town to pursue.

I have never ever EVER liked coffee. Even the smell of it at a coffee shop is sometimes off-putting. Friends have shoved it in my face, extolling its virtues and every sip was met with recoil and disgust. I am not a coffee drinker. Until now. Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso drinks(I know, I know) were the gateway. Kinda like bacon is for vegetarians… Then my buddy forced some sweetened lattes on me with his Nespresso thing(side note, holy crap do I want one of those $ 300 magic latte machines now). Okay, maybe this«coffee» thing I’m hearing so much about isn’t so bad. Then I started craving said lattes. Bit by bit. And then I heard about this Archetype joint and how it’s run by some crazy kids who love coffee. «Best cup of coffee in town,» etc. etc. Okay, I’ll try it. Okay I tried it and okay I’m a coffee drinker now and I have to have coffee in the morning or my life is incomplete and I can’t work ever again. Okay, maybe not coffee coffee. I like espresso but I like it with frothy full fat milk and I like it sweetened with vanilla and I like to add two packets of that raw sugar stuff all of these cool coffee places have. I like it sweet, okay? Okay? I want one right now. Archetype — thank you. Thank you for getting me hooked on $ 5 large vanilla lattes that are so delicious and so consistent at your place of business. And, by the way, the pastries are good. They sell bananas. And the place is minimalist and full of wood and just feels like a great place to drink coffee. Luckily the chairs seem built for short term use, so I can only last a few hours in the morning when I need to get all of my real work done before I procrastinate all day. Drink this coffee!

From the artful pours to the relaxing and bright atmosphere, Archetype is an all around fantastic coffeehouse. The fact that the staff often play obscure vinyl records for the patrons to listen to is incredibly charming to me. For example, I was in there working for a couple hours and they were playing some old forgotten record with a woman singing Beatles tunes. I loved it. It even distracted me from my work a bit, ha.(I’m sure some people might think playing records is a little gimmicky, and that’s fine — there are plenty of other coffee shops nearby). I usually just get a cup of whatever coffee they have freshly brewed. Big props to Archetype for roasting their own beans — that’s when you know you’re drinking fresh, fresh coffee. And it shines through in the taste, that’s for sure. When I want something even more fresh, I opt for a slow pour. Or when I have some extra cash and don’t want to flush out my kidneys with way too much liquid, a double espresso it is. Seriously, anything you order here will be perfectly prepared and taste delicious. The only problem I’ve found is finding a table to work at. Sometimes I’ll have to move around a bit, upgrading my spot from an easy chair to a small table as people come and go. But that’s a good problem for any coffeehouse to have, right?

Well geeze. I want to like this place! And I do. But it’s just not my favorite. This place is a bit too fancy for my liking. The barista was friendly, but I felt like I totally should have worn something else besides my sweat pants and hoodie. It was pretty loud for a Saturday morning, and there wasn’t a lot of room to study or do work. This is definitely more of a «let’s grab coffee and chat» place you meet your friends. Super clean and minimalistic style. It felt more cold and stiff than welcoming and inviting. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not my vibe for a neighborhood coffee shop. I will say though, they know how to make delicious coffee. Their lattes are fantastic. Totally worth the $ 5 price tag.
