Had dinner here last night, and found Cheddar’s to be your run of the mill chain restaurant. Prices are good, portions are large, service is good and food is average. I don’t know if I would go out of my way to eat here again, but a good safe option for people with kids, picky eaters etc. Seems to be a pretty popular place, so expect a wait at peak times.

Celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday. It was my third visit. The first two times I had the Monte Christo which is awesome so I decided to try something else, ending up with the bourbon glazed salmon. It was wonderful. My son had the Cajun Pasta also very good. Our waitress was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. Another plus was the bill, very reasonable. Can’t wait to go back. I’m just gonna work my way through the menu!

This place was OMG delicious. I had the spasagna, my husband had the sirloin and chicken fingers and our friend had the cheddar club. My husband’s steak was perfectly cooked, my spasagna was to die for. The Wisconsin cheese bites are highly recommended as an appetizer, the croissants are melt in your mouth. The prices are reasonable and the food is amazing. Not a quiet atmosphere, but it is the atmosphere of good food, good company and friendly service. P. S. — the mini desserts are just as good as the meals and just enough to have a sweet bite after a full meal.

Everytime I eat here I order the bourbon glazed salmon. YUM! For an appetizer the onion rings or the spinach dip are good choices. I especially enjoy the Painkiller! Great drink!

Where do I begin… I thought you can’t have nice deco and then have crappy food, but apparently you can with this place. The décor makes you think you’re at a nice restaurant but with everyone being so loud it’s just ridiculous to even try to get a conversation in. Plus our waiter had to ask«what? «Like 6 times when I was talking. …I’m a loud person I’ve never been asked to speak louder. Menu looked like they had delicious options but I was grossed out by the fact that ALL the menus were sticky, the table was sticky plus food left on the table, and the booth we sat at had left over food on it. …so gross. But I endured because we have been in Omaha and have yet to try this place, so on we went with my sanitizer in tow. I got the chicken fried chicken husband got the Louisiana pasta thing. Our appetizer was the trio of fried stuff(potatoes with cheese and bacon, fried cheese, and chicken fingers) clearly everything was from a prepackaged frozen box. You guys call yourself the scratch kitchen? As in scratch making everything home made? The Louisiana pasta lacked the beautiful flavors of the rich beautiful culture for which this plays of food for its name. So depressing. The chicken fried chicken looked great! Tons of food awesome you think, but then you look at your sad little vegetable they give you and it’s clearly from a can because it just dissolved in my mouth because it war over cooked. The taste was sweet and the after taste was gross. The potatoes looked appealing, so dogs the chicken, lacked flavor that would want you to keep eating. I ate 4 bites in total of the meal. Took it home to make it into delicious food with actually flavor. Oh and I didn’t mention that they messed up my strawberry lemonade… too sweet and tart had to dilute with my water to get a flavor that was actually decent. Can’t believe our bill was $ 55ish Ugh so not worth it! Stay away from this place if you actually love comfort food. The price for the quality of food is NOT worth it. Maybe I should try something else on their menu? Maybe it was an off night? Until then my fellow foodies, go somewhere else for the love of food.

Classy restaurant with great food, great prices and quick service. Doesn’t get better than that!

Had a birthday gathering, service was good as was regular food. I asked for a gluten free menu. A disappointment to say the least. It was a small selection which included several items where it said unseasoned or not including barbecue sauce. In other words they are too lazy to actually have any spices or sauces that are gluten free. We ended the evening at another establishment where once again I asked for the gluten free menu. This restaurant actually had a separate menu for different food allergies. Each one was the same size menu as Cheddars but all of the menu items had some kind of seasoning or even a fruit salsa used as a topping. Amazing what can be done with imagination. Obviously Cheddars is not interested in catering to any special diets. I can however highly recommend the grilled chicken pecan salad.

It used to be a treat to eat at Cheddars, now it’s become an exercise in how many ways can they disappoint us. On our last visit, the hostess seated a party that clearly walked in behind us, ahead of us. The menu has changed and some of our favorite items are missing, the prices have increased and the service on a slow Monday night was horrendous. There is clearly a problem at this location and even though we were given a card by Brian, the manager, for a free meal at our next visit, it will be awhile before we give this place another chance. A 45 minute wait for 2 burgers and an absent server left a really bad taste.

I have really enjoyed Cheddars. They have great food at really good prices. Each time I’ve been there it has been completely packed.

First, I would like to thank our waitress, Blair, for the outstanding service that she provided. She was so kind and had a great attitude even after an admitted long day. The fact that she went to ask if I could get the Tuscan Chicken sandwich special ordered to be vegetarian AND even cut up fresh mushrooms for me was just fantastic. I have never had a waiter/waitress go so above and beyond. On the other hand, the food was ok. I know that Blair had written down exactly how I wanted my custom ordered sandwich and I was not served that sandwich. I am not sure if the cook was not happy about the order or somehow there was miscommunication, but my sandwich was cucumber, mushroom, & lettuce(which was far from the description which included a pesto spread and cheese). Another order of ours was also off. I also get that it was busy at the time, but I had made my way to the restrooms before I ordered my drink and had been about run over by the staff several times before I got there!!!

Cleanliness 3 Service 3 Food 4 Likelihood 3 1 – 5(5 Best!) 3.3 This location is a hit a miss. Lincoln, NE has MUCH more consistent service and food quality. AND today we brought two friends who had never been to Cheddars. We were greeted quickly, and was told that our table would be ready shortly(we ordered a table not a both.) They found a table/booth combo for us. 20 minutes later we were sat at a table. ??? When we arrived the host saw that our table was not clean, so she TOLD a busser to clean the table, and while we were sitting there she sprayed her cleaner on the table and us. REALLY! The host just stood there obviously not alarmed. I stopped the busser and said next time please spray the cleaner into the towel AND then clean the table off IF there are people sat. OMG The order taker was nice, and had no obvious training. She did not clear soup/salad plates before bringing entrée items. The table was small and were were losing room quickly. She asked if she should remove the dirty dishes… OMG Refills where lagging, I sat without refills for about 10 minutes. I did not share this with mgmt as I watched her leadership style, it would have went in one ear and out the other… This place is always busy. The turnover in staff must be 300%, easily. AND the management is trained or experienced enough to train the crew. Creating a culture of «service» is beyond their capability.

Generous rating. I’ve never been a fan of Cheddar’s but this was the option at hand given our 8 hours of driving and diverse gastronomic preferences of our family. I’d give it 2 stars but the 3 members of my family were inclined to 3 stars.(Apparently I’m a food snob…) The wait of 40 minutes on a Saturday evening was definitely not worth it. Fundamentally there is nothing wrong with the food if you like butter on everything. Service was fine, food was Meh, and downgraded to bleh 30 minutes later when my stomach got upset on the road. Was hoping this visit might change my mind but nope. I’ll avoid any Cheddar’s from here on out.

If you strip away the high-end appearance of Cheddar’s(think Charleston’s with a fish tank), you get a place with moderately good food at pretty good prices. I get why this place is absolutely packed every time we’ve even entertained the idea of checking it out. We finally did so for the first time. Even at 8 on a Friday night, we had to wait 30 minutes. To their credit, the wait time was dead-on unlike some places in town. The menu had a pretty standard selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads, steaks, and some specialties. From what I gather, the drinks are one of the main attractions. After perusing the menu, you’ll notice that the prices are good. For me though, the food was ok maybe even good but not great. I’d say its slighly better than an Applebee’s but not enough for me to want to drive from my house in Bennington to Millard just to grab a bite. However, if I am in the area and have some time to kill, I’d probably drop by and enjoy an extra drink while not having to break the bank.

I have been frequenting Cheddar’s since they opened in 2011. Their quality has always been high, as is the value for the amount of food that they offer. That being said, let’s get down to business. Our server was Ashlyn. She was generally very attentive with keeping my raspberry lemonade coming when I was low or out, so this is appreciated. I am very thirsty while waiting for the food, so having something to drink always on-hand is excellent. She didn’t clear away the empty glasses during my visit, so they just sat there during the the entire meal. I ordered the half-sandwich(Monte Cristo) and two bowls of soup(baked potato) for $ 7.79(½ sandwich and two pairings). For those that don’t know, this is an incredible deal. Normally a bowl of soup is $ 3.99, so getting two bowls plus a half-sandwich makes the breakdown at $ 2.56 an item. Seriously, split this with a friend and you will save money(and room) for dessert! Another issue was having to ask for the raspberry sauce that comes with the Monte Cristo sandwich. She didn’t catch this, my fiancé and I did. Overall, this visit was pleasant and enjoyable. A few things could have been better though. The food was hot and quite flavorful. Next time I am splitting the meal with a friend so I don’t get so full.

I usually have the Monte Cristo or the Grilled Catfish or the Shepherds Pie or the Spasagna, or the… well, I eat here a lot and have been a big fan since the day they opened. Tonight I’m having a Grilled Chicken Salad with crispy chicken, tomatoes, carrots, greens, and cheese. Of course, it comes with one of their yummy honey butter croissants. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Just come hungry or plan on a doggie bag; the portions are huge. The downside? The menu prices have gone up. Not a lot. But enough to be noticed. Still great food with always-excellent service.

This is a really nice restaraunt. There’s a huge fish tank and other elegant décor. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was very tasty. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

I have been to this location a few times and always had a fine experience, often forgettable though. For«chain» food, they do it pretty well. The onion rings are tasty and the prices are pretty inexpensive for the large dishes. The menu is pretty versatile and not overwhelming with too many options. One thing that really bothers me that I forget is how high the tables at the booths are. They are seriously above your chin — maybe so people can shovel food into their mouths?! If you’re petite like me, it’s uncomfortable — sit at a table! The server we had recently was kind enough and accommodating when the runners forgot our soups and a salad.

We always have an enjoyable experience at Cheddars. The service is good and the food is also. They have great prices! My problem with Cheddars and the reason why we don’t go more often is the amount of people and the noise level there is deafening. Today we were there at 2 pm on a Thursday afternoon, which for a normal restaurant would be a fairly dead time. Not for Cheddars. It is their less busy time. It is the only time we go there, as it is the only time we can somewhat speak to each other across the table, without full on screaming.(And they weren’t at full capacity) The problem is they don’t have carpet and/or soundproofing throughout the place so when I say it is loud in there it is not an exaggeration. It is quieter in the bar area if you can get a seat over there. Today I had the lunch combo for $ 6.50(can’t beat that!) which included a buffalo chicken wrap and a bowl of their chicken tortilla soup. I love their soup. It has lots of cheese in it and big chunks of tomato with crunchy strips of tortilla. So good. I couldn’t even finish the whole wrap and ended up only eating half of it! My dining partner had the crispy chicken salad for $ 8.49 which was a really good sized portion. It also comes with a house made croissant. He really enjoyed it. Our server Michael was great. He even made our drinks to go for us as we left which we appreciated on the warm day. We will definitely be back to Cheddars as you can’t beat the prices and great service. We will just make sure it is between the hours of 2 – 4 M-F.

This a pretty high rating for chain restaurants. I was overall pleased with the buffalo chicken wrapper. I got the grilled. For beer selection you have all of the domestic and a couple popular micros like Fat Tire and Sierra Nevada but not much more than that. Our service was great and I walked directly into the bar area during a busy lunch hour. I’d go back but not beer being the main reason… It’d have to be a pretty good happy hour!

There’s a reason why there’s always a line out the door. Decent food but better drink menu. This is one of the only places in Omaha where you can get full and decently tipsy for less than $ 20! The Texas strawberry margarita is tasty but treacherous!

I went here with a few co-workers yesterday for lunch and it was a great experience. I put in my name for the table of six and we were seated pretty quickly. Hannah was our server and she was awesome. Always smiling and super nice. I ordered the Grilled Salmon, with Bourbon Glaze, broccoli, and red beans and rice. All items were terrific. The salmon tasted extremely fresh and the red beans and rice was just awesome. The table and surrounding areas were very clean and organized. I loved my salmon and would definitely go back to try something else.

I really love Cheddar’s! I first tried it during Christmas with my mom and boyfriend, then for my beautiful Niece’s birthday, then again with our friends. Each time I had the salmon entrée with mac & cheese and beans. The salmon was always perfectly cooked without it being too fishy. The layers easily came apart while I ate and the mac & cheese was a great choice with it. My last visit our waiter was accommodating and funny. If you like salmon and you want it at a reasonable price you should really check out Cheddar’s. The family friendly feel really works for this restaurant. I’ve never tried it in any other state, but I’m really happy that this restaurant made it to Omaha. Perfect salmon every time.
