Crave was awesome. We went for a graduation dinner and it hit the spot. It was a little chilly in there from the AC but that was the only downfall. Our food was amazing. I ordered the mahi mahi and it was delicious. I really liked the décor in this location as well. I would like to come back and sit on the patio.

I have tried to like this place, I really have. Every time I go I leave disappointed. The food is mediocre and over priced and over priced mediocracy is frustrating. On this particular evening my husband and I ordered the guacamole and chips for an appetizer. I ordered the steak and frites(trying to order safe) and my husband ordered bibimbap. The guacamole and chips tasted like something you could buy at a grocery store. My frites tasted old. The steak tenders had an odd flavor. My husbands bibimbap was better. I’m giving this place two stars an extra star than it should have. The extra star is for the staff, they were kind and attentive.

I have wanted to try this place for awhile and even though I wasn’t quite sure where it was — a friend suggested it and I was excited. The seating was terrible though — we were there in the evening so even though I was facing the windows to the east — the reflection off the buildings was so horrible that I felt blind much of the time. The food and the service, however, were fantastic. The burgers were amazing — they do serve the ketchup in those stupid little dishes though — I hate those, give me the bottle so I don’t keep having to beg for more — I like ketchup. I will definitely be back.

First time coming to crave. Also it was during happy hour. For the appetizer ordered the edemame and truffle fries. The edemame was a little less flavorful than blues but I liked the fact that they have sliced lemons you can add to the edemame for added flavor. The fries were delicious and had a great cheese to fries ratio. Also the fries are very thin and small. For the main course I had a California roll, shrimp tempura and Vegas roll. Unfortunately I ordered a caterpillar roll but they were out of what I assume was mango so I wasn’t able to get that roll. The California roll was delicious and the crab in it was more of shredded instead of a chunk which I really liked. The Vegas roll was also very delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try the caterpillar roll next time. My girlfriend got a prickly pear margarita and said it was delicious tasting and strong.

I’ve been here a total of 3 times, the first time I got a burger which was generic and tasty, it was nothing special just a typical burger. The second time I got the flatbread pesto chicken, it was decent, lacked flavor but still good although it got cold quick. I didn’t like the peppers on the flatbread I felt they didn’t really fit the dish well. The last thing I got was the fettuccine it had chicken and supposedly onions, I saw one onion but nothing else, the noodles were cooked well and the sauce was light and lacked salt but it was still pretty tasty, I didn’t prefer the chicken since it was semi shredded and had white and dark meat I like my chicken in pieces not shredded. Overall the atmosphere is decent and service is okay too. The price seems a little high but understandable for the area. Since it was our anniversary they got us free cake which was really nice and thoughtful. Overall a good place to try out and I will come in the future to try new menu items! So unique and many options to choose from.

I heard good things but they didn’t turn out to be true. I stopped in for a late weeknight dinner. I waited awhile for service and ordered a cocktail which was good. I was never offered water the whole time I was there. I first tried a Caprese Flatbread which was more than bland. The ‘crust’ was like a dried out tortilla instead of a true crust. I then ordered the mac n cheese which was the worst I have ever had. It was penne pasta with barely any cheese and a couple bacon crumbles. The server had no personality and was barely present. Again, I had heard good thing but I won’t be going back.

Tried this place 3 – 4 times since moving to omaha. I think for the price there is a lot more decent places to eat. the service all times I’ve been has been average or poor, the wait for food is long and the food is not as exciting as it sounds on the menu. we have sat at the bar and been ignored all night and we have sat and dined in the restaurant for a friends birthday. the birthday event was terrible service, the birthday cake was forgotten and was served pretty poorly. overall not my place of choice

After swearing off Crave for a while 6 months ago, I was again at their doors recently for a birthday dinner for a friend, as she loves this restaurant. As usual for a Saturday night, the restaurant was humming with activity, with seating moderately full at the bar and tables. There were even a few private parties in their private rooms. The menu looked pretty familiar with no changes, so we started with the usual drinks and appetizers. Sam, our server, did a great job handling our party since there were 10 people and they kept trickling in at various times(annoying for restaurants and servers I know). He was attentive with drink orders and water refills, and the food came out very timely. My California roll was well constructed and delicious. They use real crab here unlike many other places in town, and the amount of crab is what I am used to back home in Hawaii. Everyone else loved their food. The best service I have received here so far, deserving of a star upgrade. If this up trend continues, I will certainly update.

I’ve read mixed reviews so we were a little hesitant to try but we went for lunch on a whim. And it was awesome! It’s been a long time since we’ve had sushi with mango or asparagus but we had the options here. We had the lobster role and the spicy tuna role and a nice bottle of wine. The sushi was the best we have had here. Great cut of tuna, fresh and nice sauces. Decent wine selection. We sat at the bar and the place was quiet but the service was very attentive. Love the décor as well. Going to go back with the kids on a Saturday night to see how consistent it is but we really enjoyed this place.

Impressive! We haven’t heard great things but the happy hour Sunday half off sushi we couldn’t pass up especially with some friends that don’t want sushi. This place has like 3 different menus. The sushi is all I had but stir fry and Thai curry my friends were very happy with. Drinks weren’t bad at all, but not half off in restaurant area. The sushi was honestly some of the best I’ve had in Omaha, hands down! Sashimi is my favorite and for as little options as they had the price was great and pieces were huge!

I went with a group of 11 people for a business lunch a couple days ago. The service was good and the bacon cheeseburger I had was absolutely delicious, one of the best I have ever had. The fries were also very good. Sushi and a lot of other stuff on their menu are not exactly my preference, but I would go back anytime for another one of those burgers. Mmm, that burger. I’m still thinking about it.

Great lunch menu, although I’ve never been there for dinner. This time I ordered the Chicken, Apple and Brie sandwich… delicious! Good food, great place for lunch especially

Food was decent — service was non existent. We didn’t see the manager out on the floor once and we were there an hour and a half. Our server was hanging out with friends, and texting instead of doing her job. I had to get out of my seat and interrupt her conversation with friends to ask for our ticket. I have zero desire to go back to this restaurant.

I have been to Crave a number of times over the past three years and it has always been for group events. I have had the Kogi Beef Tacos, the Chicken Apple Sausage Flatbread, the Steak Frites and the Argentine style ribeye as well as a couple of the dessert shooters. The food is good, not great and for just good; it’s very pricey — the Argentine style ribeye for example, is tasty but at $ 31.00 — it’s ridiculous. I pay less for a comparable dish in PA. NJ and NYC. The service is always less than great but not horrible — at least in my experience. If it weren’t for the events that are held at Crave that I am invited to; I wouldn’t go there because there are many more restaurants in Omaha that are better on every level. Interestingly this last visit, I stayed at the Element Hotel and Crave is the hotel restaurant and will deliver vittles to your room — no, I did not order room service.

The Food was FABULOUS! The Service was HORRIBLE! This is a tough review as the my experience is both hot and cold. I sat for quite a while without any kind of attention. after sitting for about 10 minutes a server shows up and asks if I had decided on anything ??? This was my first interaction with the wait staff. I informed him yes. I would like a glass of water! And that is basically how attentive the service was the entire meal. One of the chef’s brought my dish out. i had the stroganoff and it was amazing!!! Presentation was great and it tasted wonderful. I sat needing my water refilled a few times and watched as the waitstaff joked and talked with each other as I was sitting there hoping for someone to walk by so I could get my water refilled. Overall I am impressed with the kitchen but the service was horrendous!!!

Well, CRAVE has been in Omaha for a while. I stopped going here for quite a while because it just wasn’t that good. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. Looking for a place for food last night and thought I would try CRAVE. I heard that they had a new chef and a new menu. Great. I decided to sit in the bar and was happy to hear that they have Happy Hour all day on Sunday. SCORE! I typically drink red wine and did look at the wine list for quite a while. Most of the wine is pricey so I decided to do the Happy Hour Cabernet at $ 6.00 per glass. It was fine. No complaints. I was starving so I decided to order an appetizer while I was waiting on my friend. The Bacon and Cheddar Tater tots caught my eye. The server said they were addictive so I ordered them. The tots came out, I think there were five of them, large tots with a side of ranch dressing. The flavor was good, I just didn’t taste ANY bacon or cheddar and the consistency inside looks like rice. Apparently, what I took for rice was shredded potato. I asked the waitress and she had the manager come and talk to me. Apparently the bacon and cheddar are ground into miniscule pieces so that you cannot see or taste them. It seems like a deceptive name to me. I may have seen a few pieces of bacon that were the size of a pinhead. Not what I was expecting. They were tasty – they were NOT bacon and cheddar at all. The Happy Hour menu is funny. Most of the items on the Happy Hour menu are also on the regular menu for the same price. So, you think you are getting a good deal – a Happy Hour discount, when you are really getting the same thing for the same price. Items include: Chips and Pico, avacado roll, Cucumber roll, Guacamole and chips, truffle parmesan fries, Bacon and Cheddar Tater tots, Tempura bites, Risotto balls, Crispy Pork dumplings, and Chicken Strips. It seems a bit misleading to me. THere may have been other items as well, but that gives you an idea. One thing that is available during Happy Hour is ½ price sushi. NOTALL of the sushi but most of it. We ended up getting three rolls, two that were ½ price and one that was not. They were all good. Very tasty. The main problem I guess I had was just the inconsistency of the service. Water glass was often empty. Wine glass was often empty. Table next to us received the hot cloths before their sushi and our server seemed a bit surprised when we asked for it. The hot cloth is SUCH a treat so I don’t think they should be surprised that customers want it. The service just wasn’t all there. It wasn’t terrible and our server was super sweet; it was just lacking something. With all the places to go in Omaha, I don’t think I’ll be back to Crave for a while. Unless I’m with a group who wants to go, it just doesn’t make the top of my list.

A Rare Gem among American Chain Restaurants! Okay. I admit it. I am a food snob from San Francisco. So it is very much out of the ordinary for me to rave about ANY sort of chain restaurant. I’ve got some pretty high standards and my «bar» is set quite high. But I am pleased to report that I can indeed«rave» about Crave — at least the location in Omaha. I’ve eaten at a few of their locations in Minneapolis but never bothered to review. I must say this restaurant far exceeded my best expectations. On a recent business trip I dined at their Omaha location 3 times — twice at the bar and once at the table with clients. Table service was professional and attentive. I ordered the Sushi Hoshii Boat two evenings with along with a few sashimi choices and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and freshness of the fish. Another evening I ordered their Asian Noodle Salad and was pleasantly surprised. Outstanding. Fabulous ambience and kudos to the owners/operators for creating a great culinary experience with an immense and varied menu selection — something to appeal to nearly anyone. I highly recommend.

After my last visit here, I will never be returning. I tend to make a habit of looking up menus before going to restaurants, so I was excited to see a customer comment on the front page of the website something along the lines of «This place is so great. Kids eat free Sundays!» I have been meaning to take my daughter out for a fancy dinner here before even reading that comment, so this made me extra excited. However, the website doesn’t emphasize clearly enough that this is only for«Crave REWARDS members».(.Whatever that is.) Of course… somewhat of white-lie, false advertising. I looked back after my visit and notice that this part of the deal is in pretty small letters on the website page. Regardless of all this, I asked my server before eating if it was indeed free for all kids. She said yes. My daughter eats like a bird and I would’ve never ordered such a large meal if I had known otherwise. When I received my expensive bill I was angry. The server said«Oh sorry, the other girl should have told you. It’s only for rewards members.» I don’t mind paying my part but at least give me a heads up and don’t surprise me with a bill I didn’t expect. My second issue with this restaurant is this is my second time eating sushi here and yet again I am super disappointed. It has nothing on Blue Sushi or Hiro. Why jack up the price of sushi and sell something to customers that tastes like the bland stale sushi sitting out a grocery store? I am not the type to complain about food, reason I gave this place a second try with the sushi part. and both times I was super disappointed. Our food took probably 45 minutes to come out and it was a non-busy Sunday afternoon. Why even advertise this as a family-friendly restaurant when you know children have short attention spans? My daughter sat crying about how hungry she was. Does it really take almost an hour to serve chicken, fries and sushi? On top of that, there was nothing special about the kids meal anyway. I could order same thing for a couple bucks at fast food place. I used to enjoy this place years ago because the flat bread is amazing and the drinks are good. I will give this place my full honesty on that part. However the service is honestly awful. Two stars for the pretty décor and ambience of the place. Sadly that’s the most I can give this place. The look of the restaurant is very, very misleading. Just because it looks sparkly and pretty, doesn’t mean that this place is top notch. I am sure others will agree with me. The so-so 3 star rating speaks for itself. That low of a rating isn’t acceptable for the area it is in and the high expectations you have when walking in.

Have dined at this restaurant location before and had a decent time/meal. This particular Sunday I was debating on meeting some friends for brunch, and called the restaurant ahead of time to see if outdoor seating was available on one of the first gorgeous sunny days of the year, and sadly it was not. I also asked if they had a particular dish(kogi beef tacos) available during Sunday brunch, as this is the only dish I’ve had at Crave that I’ve enjoyed. I was told that not only was this dish not served during brunch, but that it had been completely taken off of their menu. I got to brunch and ordered a subpar ~$ 14 mac and cheese dish, and noticed on their website that they offered happy hour all day on Sunday(meanwhile, I was drinking a ~$ 7 mimosa — aka orange juice). I asked to see the happy hour menu, and saw the kogi beef tacos right at the bottom — $ 7. I will not be returning.

The first thing we noticed about Crave was the classy upscale atmosphere. We loved the décor as well as the seating options. We have sat both outside on the patio overlooking Turner Park and Midtown Crossing and inside next to the windows. Both are great seating options. For our meals I had a flat bread and my husband had sushi. I had the barbecue shrimp flat bread which after reviewing the menu before writing this review I noticed it may no longer be available. It was honestly one of the best flat breads I have ever had so I would be so disappointed if it was no longer on the menu! Hopefully they will bring it back. My husband and I split the spicy salmon, dynamite and Godzilla rolls. They were really delicious! We also ordered cocktails. This is where Crave really stands out to me. They have a lot of unique cocktail options! I had a really hard time picking just one because they all sounded so delicious! I ended up settling on the Sparkling Strawberries which was really good! I definitely want to go back and try more of their selection! Overall, I have no complaints! A delicious place to grab a bite to eat and order up a fun cocktail!
