How in the hell can Runza run out of runza’s at 9:00 p.m. on a Wednesday night? I mean, that is like KFC running out of chicken. Your name is Runza, you sell runza’s, you should have said runza’s. The kid was kind of(actually was) rude when I ordered a stinking runza for my husband at 9:00 p.m. Haha, jokes on him, I always have a back up order. Runza, please have runza’s.

Since moving here, we’ve seen Runza all over the place and heard that it was a must try. So, we recently stopped in to try. And, well, check the box of things to try and move on. We weren’t impressed. I ordered the cheese runza with onion rings and my wife ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The fries and onion rings were both very good. The burger and runza just didn’t do it for us. I tried my wife’s burger and it was fine but nothing to get excited about. The runza was just odd. The mix of meat and other stuff just didn’t taste very good to me. I don’t know, probably just a personal preference. I definitely would never order another one. All told, I totally get the fascination with Runza if you are a local and grew up going here. I grew up elsewhere and definitely have my favorites from my childhood that remind me of a simpler time perhaps? I’m not sure but our recent trip to Runza just didn’t do it for us. We might go back for ice cream or onion rings but for burgers and the like, I think we’ll stick with other places.

I personally know somone that works there that never washes there hands never showers, oh and makes all the«runza sandwich filling» for every local runza, because of this I would never eat there, I really thought I should let people know for health hazard reasons, and yes it sucks because I love runza there food is great but I know better than to order anything at this location.(132nd Arbor)

i grew up in Grand Island and going to Runza was something I looked forward too, so when I realized I’d been back in Omaha for a week and not had a Runza yet(there are runzas down in Kansas City but they weren’t very close to where I lived) this Runza is maybe 2 miles. I decided to get drive through and reheat for dinner later(runzas reheat really well wrapped in foil preheated oven to 380 mine were reheated in 24 minutes) this one is the closest to my new place and I was impressed with it and its surrounding neighborhood(132nd and Center) when I got there at 3pm there was a line in the drive through. turns out they had a popular special called Temperature Tuesdays and combos were $ 3.37(37 degrees) which was the better deal over me buying lone runzas. they do fresh brew their tea(I don’t drink soda) the drive through staff was patient and helpful, I could tell the Runza itself was taken care of, and even though later the food was reheated and I noted that the fryer oil had to be recently changed for the fries(pet peeve) the fries even reheated very well. the runza was excellent. very pleased.

Love the cheese runza and fries with a side of French dressing! One of the best things in Omaha.

Love Em! Good burgers too. Not the cheapest fast good but worth the extra money. Great shakes and fries too.

I know that I’m committing California blasphemy but Runza has my favorite fast food burger in the US. A thick, fat patty, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, cheese, bacon, OMNOMNOMNOM. It’s always juicy and fresh and it’s just oh so good. Their fries are good too. Being a crispy fry guy I find these to be one of the few acceptable non-crispy fries. They are big, thick crinkle-cut jobs and they’re good. And it doesn’t stop there; their signature sandwich, the Runza, is a delightful amalgam of cabbage, hamburger, onion, and cheese that is seasoned and then baked inside of bread. Think Hot Pocket but way better and with less diarrhea afterward. Runza is one of those places where you just can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Their prices are nice and Midwestern so it’s reasonable to boot. This is a Nebraska staple so if you’re passing through, do yourself a favor and go grab one.
