I really enjoyed the pizza options. Fabulous taste and an eclectic menu. The beer selection is good as well.

Good selection of local brews as should be expected. Some neat and interesting menu items like the fried asparagus and goo presentation like the cones of pizza. Out of the way for some, but CWS cannot support a yearlong business like they once used to do for Zesto. A bit of advertising or incentives would go a long way. See you soon. I like it

I hate to give away such a great secret but this bar has it all. From a great craft beer and liquor selection, fantastic food, friendly staff, to an abundance of TVs. The owners are always very accommodating whenever my friends and I ask to put a certain game on. This is usually my go-to when it comes to football games on the weekends as there are always several games going on the numerous big screens at once, and there is always quick and friendly service from the staff. I highly recommend trying the sliders, sidewinder fries, and of course the pizza cones.

This is one of my new favorite bars. They have an extensive collection of craft beers, as well as pizza cones and other creative twists on classic pub grub. The owners are the sweetest people ever; they hosted an after party for a nonprofit fundraiser I helped plan, and they were an absolute delight to work with. I highly recommend giving TSR a try!

So glad we found this diamond right next to the Creighton campus, calling itself TSR. The waitress told us about a few new creamy rums, so I tried a banana rum and my husband tried the coconut rum. Both were yummy. They offered an eclectic cocktail menu, as well as a ton of craft beers, all tempting too; but we went at noon! The food menu was FUN. We shared 3 appetizers, which was too much food but too good to pass up: fried asparagus spears, fried cheese curds and egg rolls, each served with a separate sauce… all delicious. The interesting menu item we didn’t try was the«pizza cone,» but I’m excited to go back and give it a try.

Best bar in town. In town for work and was looking to watch the St. Louis Blues homeowner. They didn’t have the channel… But Brett said«give me 10 mins». He went in the back and called and ordered the Channel. I will be back every time I’m in town and will spread the word. O-ya the beer was cold and the food was great. Thanks again for a great night. I was so excited when this place opened, since it’s a solid craft beer bar that’s close to where I work. It’s taken me a while to make my way down there, but I’m glad I finally did. From a beer geek’s perspective, they don’t have the most taps, but they have a good variety of beers on draft, as well as a solid bottle/can list. I also tried a couple of their pizza cones, which I strongly recommend. I was expecting drippy, messy, pizza-ish drunk food, but they were actually really good, and not messy at all. Picture an ice cream cone made of crispy dough, filled with pizza toppings, and you’re on the right track. They were really tasty, and reasonably priced at $ 5 a pop. Pricewise, the drinks were reasonable, if slightly higher than some other downtown bars. Their happy hour deals could be a bit better though — $ 1 off draft beers and appetizers isn’t enough to pull me away from places like Local that have great happy hour deals. Finally, the service was great — I was with a pretty ad hoc group, with people who kept coming and going, and our server stayed on top of things really well. She was incredibly friendly and cheerful, and seemed to know the menu and drinks quite well. She helped make it an enjoyable experience, and I’ll definitely be back.

I never leave reviews, especially negative ones. But here we go, my first negative review. This place is bush league! Watered down drinks and when I mentioned it to the waiter he just smirked. I watched the bar tender pour the drink and she literally drizzled the jack. I paid 12 dollars for two jack and cokes… they held the jack. Never again.

The Session Room brings some personality to the North Downtown area. It’s got a cool vibe once inside. I like the different rooms and large brick wall with the weathered paint on the side. If you’re looking for a place to watch the game, it will do. It isn’t DJ’s Dugout with its 100 or whatever televisions but they have enough. They also have a pretty neat outdoor area where you can play bag’s. They even have bands out there on occasion. On the one visit in which I’ve eaten at TSR, I had a «build your own» pizza cone. The cone was nice and crisp but the taste was lacking. Judging from my experience, the cone might be better in theory than in reality. I also enjoyed a side of breadsticks. The marina was clumpy and too thick to dip the sticks in. My wife had the sidewinder fries which were tasty. So while the food din’t quite hit for me, that’s not to say it’s bad, it just isn’t great, the beer selection is excellent as is the service.

From someone growing up around Los Angeles food culture, I got to say this place is pretty chill. If your looking for some good craft beer and some unique bar food I would highly recommend this place. The staff was very friendly, especially Mckenzie and Jessie(aka jessi! Food to try: –sidewinder fries(loaded): would recommend getting this for 2, but overall it’s a good starter good thick bacon! –pizza cones: tried the Hawaiian with jalapeño. Very cheesy and delicious! –bone-in chipotle raspberry wings: definitely a different twist. Gots a little kick and that raspberry taste! Very good! Drinks to try: –zip line: it’s the only Amber they got but pretty decent –Small Batch+Rumpleminz liquor: this taste just like mint chip! Defiantly gotta try if you love mint!(Kudos Mckenzie for letting me on this hidden gem!) Hidden menu(for now) –tai egg rolls(owners signature, didn’t get to try them but it’s not on the menu! Will definitely get next time)

My first visit to The Session Room certainly won’t be my last. We came hear on a hot and humid Sunday afternoon to cool off, have a bite and some drinks. I started things off with a Salty Jay, which is basically their take on a margarita. What gives it an extra kick was the fact that they use infused tequila. Refreshing and delicious. For food, we shared one of their famous pizza cones and an order of asparagus fries. Both were great. The pizza cone was filled with spinach, artichoke hearts, marinara sauce and other non-meat goodies. It’s about the size of a large slice of pizza, just rolled up into a cone. A decent deal for $ 5. The asparagus fries were a hit as well. Our server was fantastic. She was personable as all get-out and made us feel right at home. Definitely another reason to head back here. I appreciate the fact that the food menu is limited. That way they can focus on a few things and do them exceptionally well. Add in an excellent selection of beer and spirits, and you have the perfect place for a drinking session.

Came here for a couple of Saturday afternoon drinks. We’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while now! Okay so here goes with pros: It’s a big space, both indoor and outdoor. There’s space for small music shows, so that’s fun. Outside there’s several large tables and a space set up for three games of bags. I love bags. The staff is friendly and they have a larger than normal beer selection. Location is fun… Near the stadium but tucked away with a more«industrial» feel. Atmosphere alone, I would’ve given five stars. Cons: Way overpriced. We ordered two beers(a Blue Moon and a Sonar) and it was $ 12. For for two 12 oz draft beers?! Also, my note about the beer selection… Not really that big. They did have some local beer selection like Infusion and Zipline, so. Thumbs up. I would definitely come back here, but I wouldn’t plans for the entire night here. Not a destination bar per se, more like a stop by bar.

The owners are an amazing husband and wife combo. They wanted to have a bar with unique bar food and they hit the nail on the head. They had a good selection of craft beer for only being open 9 weeks and a unique take on pizza by putting it in a cone made of pizza dough for $ 5, the only thing lacking on the pizza cone was a slathering of garlic butter and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Being a frequent traveler and lover of craft beers this place definitely will be on my places to visit. I am also looking forward to see their new upcoming ideas of other foods to put into cones. Great prices, great owners and staff, and above all great food and beer.

Straight up, this place is awesome! Perfect vibe for friends to get together. The owners Brett and Cindy are so hospitable and take the time to make sure your feeling right at home. Great grub. Cheers to the chef. And the bar tenders are super nice. And don’t ignore. I could spend all my bar nights here Cheers to the session room!

Tried TSR this weekend. Beer menu was short but what they didn’t have on tap was definitely compensated by our sweet server. The food was decent-Soy sambal chicken wings with the flatbread. The pizza rolls looked really good but my carb hating wife kaibashed that idea. Décor was industrial chic and very cool. Service was excellent. Plus I’ll give 5 stars for parking alone! Good music(lets have some 80s-90s music please) Going back soon!

This is my second time going there –once during CWS and once on a random Sunday Funday. The venue is one of the best places in all of Omaha. It’s large, the atmosphere is amazing, and everything has a rustic renovated industrial look that brings you into a new city. They have a decent size patio with corn hole too. Beer selection is similar to a lot of local places. The menu’s feature is the pizza cones. They are a unique way of making pizzas. During CWS they had a limited menu for them and they were okay. However, we returned a week later and their menu was larger with different pizza cones — and they were super delicious. Bbq chicken, buffalo chicken, Hawaiian to name a few. We also had their wings and went a little crazy and got their unique raspberry chipotle. They were excellent and had very creamy ranch. Money.

This place is right in the heart of North downtown. If we can get a few more venues like this hopefully we can attract more residential developments. The bar experience here is pretty great. Big new HDTVs one every wall and a patio complete with cornhole and lots of seating. If the owner is reading, find a shuffle board table and you will be mine. While the bar is 5 stars, the food is more of a 3 – 4 star offering. The main features are wings and pizza cones with a few other apps to choose from. No entrees or sandwiches in sight. The pizza cones are $ 5 and amount to a rolled up slice of good pizza. Frankly I’d rather pay $ 10 – 15 for a whole pizza, but I am guessing these will be street food for CWS. We also tried the fried asparagus, which was delicious but the serving size only allowed 4 or 5 pieces for the two of us. For $ 7 I was expecting a bit more. Not a place I would go out on date to but definitely a place I will come to watch sports which is really lacking downtown.

The number one virtue of TSR is its location: between AMTD Park and the greatest enterprise in the world today, Creighton University. The next best aspect is a nice beer selection. Spilker’s is excellent. The interior is funky from early Omaha and it is real. The food is good enough but it needs some work. I had a flatbread and, well, it was flat. It needs more zip and spice. Way more. The guy that bought the meals had the rib tips. He said good flavor but short on quantity. Not a good value. He also got the fried and breaded asparagus. I had never seen that item and it worked The big thing they had on the menu was several pizza cones. Another new thing and one guy nearby had one. No opinion from him. And one is not enough. Also price looked high compared to quantity. TSR has been open all of three days and I did account for that in this review. It has upside. Waitress was fine. The key thing is that the less than mediocre Blatt now has some competition and competition is good. CWS fans should try TSR and render their own judgment. But IMO this place really needs some Omaha style burgers. Face it. Our dear Southern CWS friends love Nebraska beef and they crave it when they trek north. Give the people what they want: meat! A Fahey burger. a Kelly burger and a Cowboy Jim Dahlman burger would fill out the menu nicely. The burgers would NOT be made of pork even though Democrat bosses love their pork.
